Michelle is SO WORTH IT! Every time I come in we discuss goals, how I’m improving and in two weeks there has already been a noticeable difference in how my body is going from Pillsberry dough boy to being the terminator. Well it’s not that drastic but you get my point. Michelle is so easy to get along with and flexible with my schedule. (She kinda has to be, she teaches yoga) lol. But seriously, she’s awesome. Pick her as your trainer. DO IT!

I've taken a number of yoga classes with various instructors throughout the years. After a two year hiatus I decided to start practicing yoga again. I've attended two of Martha's classes so far and have enjoyed them a lot. It's been great to be in a group setting with an instructor that pays attention to their students' needs and changes the class accordingly. Martha also has a calm voice and helps demonstrate some of the harder poses. I've enjoyed being challenged in my yoga practice!
I would highly recommend Kristie for personal yoga instruction. I was nervous about getting back into yoga after a while and with a weird foot injury, but she was extremely patient and understanding. She started out asking about any injuries and made sure to point out the poses where I may want to adjust due to my foot. She was also great about giving a couple of different options when I felt like things were too hard or too easy, and she made hands on corrections without pushing me too far. She will definitely be able to adjust her flows to your needs and all levels!
I've practiced yoga with Mary since the beginning of my pregnancy. I was in her prenatal workshop and have also taken her restorative as well as a prenatal strength/restorative combination class (all of which were excellent)! Mary has the most soothing voice, and she makes you feel so strong, capable, and cared for. Every class I go to, I feel completely refreshed and relaxed when I leave. She is very knowledgeable in her practice and has a great way of explaining any questions you might have. I would recommend her classes to anyone! :)

My 14-year-old daughter, who is a beginner, and I recently took a class with Alex. Her attention to proper form and guidance on how to get into poses was very helpful. I've been practicing daily for a just a few months and following Alex suggestions I was able to get into Crow pose, which I had been struggling with. Give Alex a try. You won't regret it.

These are the essentials about me: As a teacher, I help bring awareness to those areas of the body that are unconscious to each person. I give technical points as to how this body machine of ours works, but more importantly, I truly care about the human beings who have honored me by letting me into their lives. I get excited when they discover a breakthrough in their mind/body work. I see the perfect pose in everyone, yet I do not care at all about perfecting poses. The pose is a direction, a form that one's body moves toward. Your body is somewhere in that form it is not a form imposed on your body. That is why everybody can do my yoga. I gently guide and encourage you to move in a direction of opening your body and making it strong, so that it can open. This is a joyous process for me and the students. Trying to define my style in yoga is like trying to define me I will leave it to my students to describe their experience in my classes and retreats. I have taught yoga in the Twin Cities for over 30 years. I began studying hatha yoga and meditation 35 years ago when I was writing my master's thesis in philosophy. Disciples of Swami Rama and the Himalayan Institute constituted the yoga community in my area at that time. The focus was on breathing, meditation and a gentle soft style of hatha yoga. I studied exclusively with these people for seven years. When I realized I loved yoga and it was my purpose in life to be a yoga teacher, I began traveling around the world to take teacher training programs.

After receiving my yoga alliance certification in 2012, I continued my studies and earned my nutrition coaching certificate the following summer. I began my teaching career with an internship at Caron Chiropractic Clinic, and since then I have been teaching at a number of reputable establishments including the YWCA, Jewish Community Center, and the St. Paul Athletic Club. Last summer, I also had the great opportunity to work with Fitness in the Parks. I have developed a strong following of wonderful yogis, and I would be honored to lead private and semi-private lessons in the comfort of your home.
