Doug is careful, and he helps lay a foundation for better health. He doesn't promise amazing results in 12 weeks-- he doesn't have to make promises he can't keep. What he does works; I feel better, I'm stronger, and I'm making small changes each week with his support to keep progressing toward better health. I can't recommend Doug enough.
I can't say enough nice things about Bethany. I have always been a unique person with all of my limitations with my health and she has been so great to taylor my work outs to fit them. Her up beat and positive attitude is a great motivator. And her prices are the most reasonable I have found.
I've always been highly skeptical of trainers. I haven't trained with a ton of different people, but I don't think I've ever found one that I felt super confident that they knew what they were talking about. Luckily, I started training with Rachael, and she changed that! Her knowledge of fitness and the human body is so deep and well rounded. She can help you with your fitness from every angle that you could want, be it working around an injury or your diet. She knows how to give you a workout that will push your limits. I'd say training with her is great for so many reasons, but I think the best thing she brings to the table is her attitude. She's always so enthusiastic, encouraging when you give her 100%, and she never made me feel any pressure to do anything more than my best. I have been working as one of LA's top fitness trainers for the past 8 years, and one thing I always stress to my clients is that health is a balance. A balance of physical excersise, diet, stress management, and bodywork. Hannah was highly recommended to me by a friend about a year ago and I have used her once a week ever since! I also recommend her to all of my fitness clients, whom have nothing but positibe experiences with her. Hannah has amazing intuition and vast knowledge of the human body and practices several different techniques of massage. Her sequences are always what your body needs at the time, unlike some therapists that go through the same sequences with each person time and time again. Paul has been my running coach for years. When I first started, I had terrible form. I couldn’t run a quarter mile without getting winded. Not to mention, I had aches and pains I had no idea how to work through. Because of his extensive USMC training, Paul was able to train me through better form, improvement in foot/arm placement, breathing techniques and building my mental strength to complete my first 5k. After the 5k, I was extremely motivated and Paul pushed me to complete a 10k then finally the Tough Mudder. It’s amazing what the body can do with proper support and coaching. Not to mention my aches and pains went away, I dropped excess body fat from improving my distance and most importantly I learned how to eat to perform instead of eating because “I feel like I have to.” Understanding customized caloric intake and macro placement was beyond beneficial and directly affected my workouts. My lifestyle is completely different now and I wouldn’t be where I am today without Paul.
Sarah teaches with us in the hospital on adolescent and adult mental health units. Her kindness, compassion and professionalism make her an extremely effective teacher in this setting. First, the dramatic — For years and years, as Spring rolls in, my sinuses go nuts. Post nasal drip followed by a cough for months. My MD was useless, but expensive. The last two years, I've called Stasia, gotten a remedy and been good to go in a day. Amazing. Next, the subtle — I've seen Stasia every two months for...has it been 10 years? Maybe. Her listening and "investigative" skills are a cross between a master coach and a high-end private detective. Along the way, my wellness habits, mood and over-all health have improved. I consider Stasia my primary care health pro. But instead of 5 minutes, I get her attention for an hour. And instead of it costing an arm-and-leg, it's affordable.
