Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, Chelsea has a way of making you feel like a close friend and completely at ease in her yoga sessions. Before jumping into the sequence, she always takes the time to ask how everyone is feeling physically and emotionally, as well as how often we do yoga - answers which she will use to adjust the sequence based on the overall mood of the group as well as substitute moves that may worsen any pain or injuries mentioned. She's great at reminding us to be aware of where our bodies are at (physically), often encouraging us to challenge ourselves along the way, but also to accept and appreciate what our bodies are capable of in this moment. While going through the sequences, she knows how to help us make the very best version of a pose or stretch, being detailed in her explanations of what we should be feeling and and how we should be moving, and often times adjusting our body position and helping us sink into a deeper stretch by placing her hands gently on us. Chelsea is amazing at being honest and authentic about how she’s been feeling that week - from what she is excited about and everything that has been going great to what’s been irritating her and parts of life that she’s been struggling with. She always relates her real life emotions with how yoga can help you get through those rough patches by coming back to your breath and being in the present moment. She’ll end every session with a relaxing Savasana where she reviews what we worked on and how we can carry these simple yoga principles with us in our everyday lives. It’s always a bonus when she plays guitar and sings beautiful lines of chants that greatly enhance the Savasana relaxation period. I’ve attended several sessions with Chelsea at a few different locations - from a quiet basement to a noisy gymnastics gym, and even a city park next to an busy interstate - and she is always able to adapt to each environment with ease, reducing distractions and emphasizing focus. I would highly recommend Chelsea to anyone who wants to get started with the basics of Yoga, as well as veterans who want to further their practice. She is one of the most kind, authentic, and glowing individuals I have ever met and I am grateful for the sessions and time I was able to spend with her.

Brockell is one of the finest yoga teachers I have ever worked with! In a group setting, she is sensitive to each student's abilities and limitations, encouraging each of us to find our edge of practice and offering individual assistance on technique and alignment. Her classes are well-designed and she is clearly well-prepared. I also had the opportunity to work with Brockell in private sessions. I can say unequivocally that I learned more from her in four one-hour sessions than I've learned in years of group classes! She created a yoga therapy program for me that increased my strength, flexibility, and range of motion and significantly reduced pain in my upper back and shoulders. In short, I think Brockell is truly gifted and I am grateful for having the opportunity to work with her.

This is a beautiful studio which includes a beautiful community of people. Yoga here is much more than physical (although it is a great workout, with many, widely varied classes offered), but it is also a very spiritual and cathartic practice. If you enjoy feeling welcomed, becoming part of a caring community and expanding your yoga practice as well as your mind, you will LOVE Yoga Sol!

I offer physical training, yoga, massages, good music, and talking. When I learned on my second year in college that I was sick and needed to lose weight, I then learned that it takes motivation and means to do so.
