My daughter was struggling with high school Algebra I. The mother of a classmate recommended Shawn. He reviewed the basic concepts and worked with her through her own homework assignments until she caught on and was able to do it herself. She went on to Algebra II without further tutoring. My son started high school this year and he too struggled with Algebra so we immediately called Shawn. He worked with him throughout first semester and now he too is doing it on his own second semester. Shawn helped both of them build a solid foundation for Algebraic concepts so they could advance. I will not hesitate to contact him if my son struggles again throughout his high school years. Both children liked him and felt comfortable learning with him. His rates were on par with tutors in the KC area. He always showed up and was on time. He was flexible about meeting with kids before big tests.

Duane and his associates are first and foremost concerned about the student, as an educator you can tell his passion for teaching. Duane created a plan specifically for my child to reach her goal on the ACT. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dusne and his company, Maranatha.

My son Finnegan has been taking lessons for almost two years now. He has progressed steadily and really enjoys the lessons he has with Cathan Kabrelian. He really looks forward to the two recitals she holds every year. Her prices are very reasonable and she is very caring and attentive during lessons.

Emily has been tutoring my daughter E for the last couple of months. E is a freshman, quite shy, and has been struggling a bit in her studies (mostly Algebra). We first met Emily and I found her to be very professional and yet still very friendly. She supplied me with all her background information - education, experience, references and even a background screening from the Family Care Safety Registry. Emily has helped E with organization and and with her knowledge of Algebra, she has also helped with other homework when needed. Emily pushes E to ask questions and gives her to do lists, she is very encouraging and positive. She relates very well with my daughter and I highly recommend her.

Julie tutored my daughter for algebra II and pre-calculus. My child does not like math but never got less than a B while working with Julie. She even got some a's from a teacher who never gives A's. Julie makes all math understandable and we would hire her for college but my daughter will be too far away. No amount is too much for her expertise.

My daughter has struggled the last two years in algebra II and calculus until she started going to see Danielle. Her grades improved dramatically and it turned into one of her favorite subjects. I would instantly recommend her and I hope she's around all the way through college! 5 stars for sure!

eric provided me with extensive tutoring for college algebra. I've attempted to take this course before & got deterred by having teachers & tutors who went through the problems without really breaking them down & explaining them. Eric took the time to make sure I understood the material, applying real world situations to examples. showing me how it can be used in the real world made math engaging for the first time. very patient, friendly, and easy to work with.

About

I am passionate about math. I, too, have struggled with math as a child. Now, I am a math all-star and hoping that I can share my concepts and ideas in learning math with others.

About

My specialties are flute, piano and violin, but I can play most instruments and am well qualified to teach any at a beginning level. I teach all ability levels, but prefer to only take advanced students on woodwinds or violin. I am interested in students who want to better their music skills in a kind, patient and often humorous environment. We'll have fun, but we'll also work hard to learn the skills necessary to be a successful musician, including playing skills, music theory, performance techniques and etiquette. I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals!
