Interview the person before you hire them. They should be willing to meet with you free of charge. No one wants a crabby minister officiating their wedding. Ask them how they feel about the old adage, "The customer is always right." See if they smile a lot! Someone who smiles frequently is going to be handle any hiccups that come along. They are also going to be flexible in meeting any special needs that might come up at the last minute.
