I've been studying with Devin for about a month and He is an amazing and talented teacher! He has a ton of experience in music and teaching guitar which is seen in the way the classes are structured. The classes progress smoothly and and the right pace; there are reviews for mostly everything he teaches and there are exercises to learn different aspects of playing a guitar and also about music theory. It really went beyond expectations! His biggest achievement is not only the progress I'm doing during the class, but the fact he really motivates me in knowing even more ..thanks to his guidance and inspiration I'm doing some research and practicing even more at home. If you're thinking about taking class with Devin.. Do it! It is a great experience!

Zack is both a talented guitarist and gifted teacher. He has started me on a journey of musical growth that I plan to continue as he transitions to a new city. Before meeting Zack, I knew nothing of music theory and proper technique. After working with him over the course of several months in Boston, I have become a more confident player. Zack makes lessons fun, and makes me WANT to practice!

I was a voice student of Hillary Trumpler during my time in Asheville. Hillary was an excellent teacher, and perfect for me. As a 70-year-old who had never had voice lessons, I had a lot of things to learn, and it was obvious that Hillary was really skilled in teaching those things. She worked with my muscle control, breathing, song tone and strength, accent (in foreign songs), and so on. In each aspect it was obvious that she had the background and skill to teach effectively. Besides all of that, it was a pleasure to work with her. She’s very patient and affirming, and was very obviously invested in both improving my skills, and in helping me enjoy singing. I’d recommend Hillary Trumpler as a voice teacher without reservation. Josh Fisher Jacksonville, FL

I'm a total beginner when it comes to singing, I had no prior experience and after 4 lessons I've already noticed a huge improvement in my voice. Mr. Hiler has a logical approach to teaching which makes learning alot easier. Of all the instructors I got quotes from, Mr. Hiler stood out because he actually went to school to teach music. I would highly recommend him as an instructor.

I am offering lessons in piano and keyboard. I am equally comfortable teaching classical or contemporary music. I customize the lessons to each student's needs. I can teach you to read music or teach you music theory and chords to help you play by ear. For those who are interested in playing synthesizer with a band, I have a lot of experience in setting up sounds, programming modules, and using virtual instruments and music software. I can teach you these things as well.

About

We teach music reading (standard notation) as well as tablature and chord charts. Teaching others to practice properly is our primary goal. Students develop their listening ear and learn music theory here. There are performance opportunities throughout the year.

About

I pride myself in veering from the traditional methods of teaching in order to inspire a love of music and create an atmosphere where learning is easy and fun. Classical piano not your thing? No worries! based on our first lesson, I will begin formulating a lesson plan that best fits your musical style. For some, learning advanced theory and emulating mozart is more attractive. Times are changing. Music is evolving. And so should the way you learn it. I also provide opportunities to record piano and/or vocal pieces in a professional studio with my personal producer and offer optional performance opportunities so that you can take your art further than the living room!
