Meagan baked 150-200 cakepops for my wedding reception favors. She made two flavors of my choosing and made them in the exact style and color scheme to match my wedding décor. I even sent her ribbon and monogrammed tags that I wanted on the favors and she individually wrapped and tied the tags to the pops! She arrived early, set up the favors on a display, plus the pops tasted great! She did a wonderful job and I would definitely recommend her for any party planning events!

Creative Impressions provided a bartending service for a wedding event. Shunta was very friendly and flexible. She checked in frequently leading up to the event to see if there were anything she could do to help. The guests also has really good feedback from her services. Christine (and her husband) are awesome to work with. I did most of my wedding planning and hired Christine as a "day of" coordinator. Even so, she helped me along the way with troubleshooting, asking vendor questions, etc. She was communicative throughout the process and even met with me the day after my wedding to discuss the event and hand over some papers (the marriage license!) that I'd forgotten. The event was not small (roughly 150 people), and Christine seemed to handle it with ease. If she was stressed, I didn't see it. I highly recommend.

Allegiant was great to work with! We had such a fantastic experience with them for our wedding. As with most weddings, things didn't go quite as planned and our driver was flexible and accommodating! Derrick Yellock is an incredible photographer! He traveled and shot my engagement photos here in Washington, DC at the Washington Harbour. The photos were breathtaking! He also shot my wedding and captured one of the most special moments of my life! My husband and I were ecstatic when we received the finished product of our wedding!! He and his staff were amazing and professional every step of the way. Derrick also prepared a "MOVIE" DVD of our engagement, wedding and honeymoon photos! This is still a DVD that people WANT TO SEE when they come over! It captures every little detail of those three events. I also own an Event Company and I use Yellock Images for my clients. Derrick's work speaks for itself, however, one word to describe his work - MAGNIFICENT! I highly recommend Derrick and Yellock Images for your next special event!

At our first meeting I was very impressed with how prepared, organized, timely, and thorough Bliss was. She took a great deal of time making sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Amy was very helpful during the planning process of the wedding. She asked the questions that I did not know to ask. Small details like who would hold the rings during the ceremony, and if the DJ would be present at the rehearsal. Aside from being a tremendous help before the wedding, Amy and her team did a fabulous job decorating the ceremony and reception! It is clear that she has an eye for decor. It exceeded my expectations tenfold. The flowers were gorgeous as well. For an affordable coordinator that lives up to her word, and for a skilled florist contact Knots N Such.

We started planning our giant Indian wedding extravaganza about three months before the big day(s). The process was overwhelming at first. An event coordinator at one of our two venues saw our distress and suggested Jocelyn as our weekend coordinator. After our first meeting, we knew immediately that she would be a great fit - what a relief!! Jocelyn coordinated an entire weekend of wedding events for us, including a Friday night reception in Venue 1, a Saturday morning wedding ceremony in Venue 2, a one-hour room flip in Venue 2, a Saturday evening horse procession to Venue 2, and a Saturday evening reception in Venue 2. Before our wedding, she calmly dealt with a multitude of decoration and logistical requests from myself and the extended family. She was never flustered, always flexible with her time, and always extremely optimistic. She also had great suggestions for vendors and services that fell within our limited budget. The weekend of our wedding went beautifully, and while some minor details ended up falling through the cracks (centerpieces were different from what we planned - not that anyone but the immediate family noticed!), nothing major went wrong - which is a HUGE accomplishment for a massive Indian wedding planned only in 90 days. Many of our wedding guests told us it was the most organized Desi wedding they had ever been to. What an achievement! None of this would have been possible without Jocelyn. Her and her team are the absolute BEST!!!

I loved working with Ashley and Trent to make my wedding day perfect. They were so attentive to my wants and made sure they fully understood my vision for my wedding. They helped make appointments and went with me to those appointments to take notes, point some things out, offer suggestions, but everything was still completely my decision. They are a great team and I had so much fun with them. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but they took all of that away! The day of the wedding they were both there to make sure everything went smoothly and went off without a hitch. They kept me laughing and enjoying every moment while they took care of all of the little details with such care. I’m so thankful for Ashley and Trent’s teamwork and the time and effort they put forth to make sure everything was exactly as I wanted. Amy was a tremendous help during my wedding day and through all the details prior. My day would not have been as perfect without her. She helped me with all the details from the moment I became engaged to the wedding day. She also organized and hosted my engagement party, which was beautiful and everyone had an amazing time. She has a great eye for detail and also seeing the big picture. She referred me to an amazing DJ and a local person that created beautiful silk flower bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. Amy also made and designed my silk flower center pieces, other silk flower displays, and other decorations for my wedding. They were so beautiful and perfect! Amy is super sweet, respectful, and dedicated to her work. She organized her own wedding and has helped many others. She is able to come up with ideas, offer advice, and work within any budget. She will not disappoint! If you need assistance in a day of wedding coorindator or help along the way, Amy is definitely a great choice! Emily is very professional, organized and courteous. She was a tremendous help when we planned our wedding. At first, we only hired her to assist with the day of coordination, but as we got into the planning, we asked her to help with vendors- we were thrilled with the excellent job she did coordinating services and payments. Through out the process she continued to help us by taking on additional services, going above and beyond in all she did. The week of the wedding, we ended up have a significant venue change due to folks planning to attend who did not RSVP. (We should have had her help with the invite listing and follow-up too!) Emily helped us to switch gears and re-direct quickly with the hotel. I would definitely hire Emily with Galej Events again and would highly recommend her! Paula & Richie

Elizabeth was a huge help when planning my wedding. The planning process got a little overwhelming on my own but she knew exactly what needed to be done and made sure everything ran smoothly. When it came down to the very little details such as tattoo coverup for my bridesmaids Visionary concepts did an exceptional job. We worked with Sharon for a month in a half prior to our big day, and you would have though we worked together forever. My family and friends said we hired great vendors. The national average cost for wedding planning is between $990 and $1,300. Costs are greatly affected by region, with rural or smaller-town wedding planners often far more affordable than planners in higher-cost cities. Here are some examples of the various levels of wedding planning and their potential average costs:

  • Day-of-wedding coordination: $800-$1,700. Day-of services can include the planner finalizing all details, creating a timeline, confirming vendors and overseeing all setup, day-of activities, and cleanup. The couple does all the front-end planning and contracts all the vendors. Time commitment could be about 15-25 hours, depending on pricing.
