Mike has been teaching my son drums for the last 2 years. Not only does he offer great in-home drum instruction, but he is also very good about re-scheduling lessons if necessary and communicating via text. Most telling of all, my son wants to keep up with his drum practice because Mike "has good methods for helping you get the beat."

"I have known Andrew for many years, and in that time I have found him to be hardworking, dependable and one of the nicest and most driven people I have met. My students have given me nothing but very positive feedback every time I left them in Andrew's capable hands and I can tell after having him fill in for me that my students did not just have a substitute, they had a fun experience and were motivated to practice, and when I return I am always impressed with their improvement. I highly recommend him as a teacher who has a very professional, fresh attitude and is effective in his instruction and drumming." Megan Adcock Drum Instructor- Alhambra School of Music

My children have been taking piano lessons with 7Keys Music for about 6 months now and are doing very well. We all enjoy our teacher, Yekaterina. She is patient with the children yet firm when it is necessary. It is a pleasure to have her in our home each week. Crystal, the owner, has worked with me to accommodate our schedule and make changes when necessary. She is always kind and prompt in responding to me. We are very pleased with 7Keys Music and will continue to use them for our musical instruction.

We LOVE School Of Rock~ Charlotte. Our daughter was proficient in playing her instruments (lead guitar and bass) when she became a student at #RockHaus; however, wanted to branch out in the styles of music she preformed, as well as enhance her stage persona. WOW, did she ever!! She has gone from feeling uncomfortable moving on stage to looking as if she has been on stage for years. She has stepped out of her comfort zone, trying keyboards, drums and really astounding us by singing vocals...she had never sang alone in public in her life! This is all thanks to the encouragement and support of the truly gifted musicians who teach at the BEST ROCK SCHOOL in the region. There is always a smile, a friendly face and support as the fabulous staff meet the students where they are...from the tiniest beginner student, through adults, everyone is treated with respect, excitement and joy. Jill Livick, SOR General Manger, is genius at running the school. To see her interact with parents on such a professional, yet personal level lets you know that each student matters. She loves what she does and it shows. For Jill, it isn't about the bottom line, it is about giving the students a voice and then seeing where it leads. I absolutely recommend School of Rock for anyone who is ready to learn to play an instrument, sing, perform, make friends with other musicians and gain confidence. You will find lessons, workshops, performance opportunities, incredible shows and working, caring musicians as instructors...I couldn't ask for anything more.

    About

Hello! My name is Steven Cornacchia, and i'm a professional drummer here in Charlotte, looking for students who are willing to learn. Why choose me over other potential drum instructors? For one, I am a currently gigging/recording artist in Charlotte, with 10+ years of experience playing in rock, funk, jazz, blues, jam, and latin bands. On top of teaching these genres, I teach the fundamentals of playing the kit on your own or in bands, stick control, rudiments, how to tune the drums, and limb independence. Most importantly, music is about learning to have fun and express yourself. I have had the privilege to learn under legendary drum instructors such as Quentin Baxter and Jeff Salisbury. I've taught drums to all ages and levels of experience, from pre-school aged kids first touching drums, to teenagers, to young adults at the intermediate level. I'm currently 25 years old, so I feel my teaching style works best with younger kids and young adults. As for rates, I typically charge $20 for a 30 minute lesson, and $30 for an hour lesson. I always encourage the hour long lessons, but 30 minutes is great for a beginner. The only requirement for you is a drum set in your house. My schedule is flexible, so i'm able to drive out to you even if you're within 30-45 minutes of the Charlotte area. Drums are my passion, and I hope to pass that passion unto my students. -Steven Cornacchia
