Incredible educator! I was a solid beginner and he took the time to help me understand (and love) what I was doing. His love for music and music theory is so palpable in each session. I never felt rushed and he always started each lesson on my level. As an adult learner, this was key to making progress.
Brian is very approachable and caring toward his students, which creates a great environment for learning and makes our daughter willing to take risks and be more challenged at the piano. He does an excellent job of combining scales, arpeggios, and theory into lessons and introduces her to a variety of musical styles. I very much prefer his style of teaching vs. the set curriculums that are available. He also isnât afraid to assign challenge pieces that take endurance and focus, sometimes for more than a year, to master. We have thoroughly enjoyed our 5 years with him as our teacher and recommend him to any level of pianist.
Mrs. Whatley is an outstanding music teacher as well as performer. She is reliable, professional, and experienced and her enthusiasm for music shines through in her performances, compositions, and teaching style. I have known Mrs. Whatley for over 20 years. She is a wonderful person, both personally and professionally. She was my piano instructor from the 3rd grade all the way up until I graduated high school. I have now been a church pianist for over 10 years. I would highly recommend Mrs. Whatley to anyone wanting to learn music and theory.
Mike has been my drum teacher for the past 5 years. He is terrific. He's always catered lessons and the overall lesson plan to my skill level, pushing me when I get complacent and challenging me at time when he feels that I'm ready. He always drills the fundamentals and demonstrates why they are so important. I am a much, much better drummer as a result of his instruction.
My son loves his violin lessons. Robin is friendly and fun
I had a great experience with Jeff. He makes learning the guitar fun. He is good at figuring out your level quickly and building upon that experience. He is an exceptional guitar player and knows quite a bit about music theory.
I am negotiating with Online Stage School of Performing Arts regarding trial lesson currently.
I have taken guitar lessons from Chris for 6 months. He has exceeded my expectations. I am learning a lot and Chris is very helpful and patient. He readily shares his knowledge about guitar playing and provides the right amount of music theory for me. I have even gone out to see Chris at a few gigs, and really enjoy listening to him. I highly recommend Chris Jones.
Jacquelyn is a very dedicated individual who exceeds in assisting others, and not just in piano lessons. She is also more than suitable for sign language interpretation!
Adam and team have done a great job of building and creating an awesome environment for kids to learn music! He teaches what the kids want to learn so it keeps them invested in their music! Thanks Adam and Learn Music! Our daughter Marlee is exceeding our expectations and loves every minute of it! David and Loree
As an older, somewhat established player, my needs from a teacher are a little different in my mind and Brandon senses that and knows the direction I want to go into become more accomplished at guitar. He has challenged me and helped me to meet those challenges. He also alway gives me more than I can do in between each lesson which always keeps me going and let's me know where I'm heading. He also always teaches me something fun to play to go along with the repetitious things. I would highly recommend him to any student regardless of playing level.
I have been taking lessons with Svetlana for over a year. She has taught me so much. Svetlana is dedicated to making all of her students the best they can be. I will never again change piano teachers She is the best!
I had the pleasure of working with Lasharae for two and half years. She has great knowledge of music and the understanding of the individual learner. Lasharae is a great instrumentalist. Through her love of music, I was able to gain more respect for music, respect for her as an individual and humility for the program. In addition, Lasharae made it fun!
Dwight Mabe: What a "seasoned professional" can do for you! I took weekly lessons from Dwight via Skype for six months and he brought me up to a new level. The first couple of sessions were "assessment" - getting a feel for where my skills and weaknesses were. He quickly came up with a written lesson plan for the next six months, with monthly adjustments as needed. I was given a practice schedule and printed weekly exercises in standard notation and tablature. Dwight would show me how to do the exercises after which it was up to me to practice and learn the material. We covered theory, technique, phrasing, ear training and much more. I can assure you that your time spent under the guidance of Dwight Mabe is going to take you up to your next skill level and beyond. What else can you expect from a bassist who has performed with Stan Kenton and Jack Bruce?
I have taken guitar/music lessons from Craig Bowman for about 3 months now. He is professional, highly skilled and able to convey musical concepts better than any teacher I have ever had. An added benefit: he allows for flexibility in payment and scheduling. I recommend him to anyone looking to advance their musical skills without emptying their wallet; I take lessons from Craig in lieu of university study.
I teach music lessons for piano and voice and tutor in reading, writing, SAT, basic math, English and Italian. What makes what I do great is that I am still a student myself and a lot of these topics are still very fresh in my brain. I can, therefore, be able to tutor students better because these subject are fresh in my mind.
Students in a music school, such as Charlotte Academy of Music, have opportunities to participate in ensembles, master classes and many performances. In short, students who study at a music school receive a more well-rounded music education experience. Being part of a musical community is also highly motivating!
I teach my students not only the mechanics of playing the guitar or bass guitar but also how to read and understand music theory. Music is the organization of time and sound, and there is much more to being a musician than just knowing how to play the instrument.
I offer private piano lessons for students of all ages. My lessons are very traditional, and I teach classical piano literature, popular music, and church music. I try to impart to the student a basic knowledge of music reading, music theory, and a bit of music history. I have produced successful musicians for 50 years who are now located all over the U.S., as well as in other countries of the world. Note that lessons are 30 minutes or 45 minutes in length.
