FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is flexible according to size of the wedding and the length and simplicity or complexity of the wedding ceremony. My pricing is standard for a high quality professional service; that is, it matches the high standards and values one receives by using me as their wedding officiant. {Prior to the wedding my services are available via SKYPE}
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial Free phone consultation comes first in which I learn essentials of the wedding envisioned and something of the background of the couple. I explain my service and pricing, the steps we will take together, with the goal of having the ceremony planned and fully prepared as early as possible before the wedding date. Then I meet with the couple in person if at all possible. A "Letter of Agreement" is signed if we decide to move forward, stating all terms and conditions of the two party's responsibilities so there are no misunderstandings. Then i use several tools I have to begin the ceremony planning and its writing. A timeline is agreed upon. Then I write the ceremony over the agreed timeline. I keep in close communication with the couple by email and/or phone as we proceed. {Prior to the wedding my services are available via SKYPE}
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Four years mainline seminary education, my M.Div and BCTS degrees. Many years in pastoral church leadership in both marital counseling and conducting weddings. Ongoing professional education and experience up to the present time, notably international Life Coach training in 2009-10. To say nothing of my own lifelong spiritual journey and life experience....... Notable: in 2009-10 I spent 300+ hours in training to become a Certified Professional Coach and I took part in a 7-month men's workshop to personally grow my worldview and expand my ministry. It's called "Integral."
