The food was pretty darn good and served professionally. It was not too expensive either! Phyllis and her assistant were great! However, they only had enough plates for one course and served appetizers and salad before the main course. This lead to my bridal party having to clean dishes. Also, the drinks were leaking the entire time, which led to puddles. Thankfully it was cleaned up by my guests, but it could have been a disaster. However, overall she did a great job.

I found Chrisabethella Catering through Thumbtack. Never having heard of the company before, I wasn't 100% sure, but after speaking with Courtney and seeing the level of professionalism and knowledge she exhibited, I chose Chrisabethella Catering to cater my wedding. Catering involved into "Catering *and* Event Rentals," once Courtney explained her capabilities to also handle our event rentals. She was extremely flexible in the items I needed (our primary color was a very tricky shade of dark purple-blue), and was always patient with me as we went through the process of coordinating the right items. We had many late-in-the-game changes to our wedding, and through it all, Courtney was patient, responsive, and took the time to consult with me and make sure all of my questions were answered -- no matter how small or trivial they seemed. The fact that Courtney acted as a trusted advisor in my wedding planning process was amazing -- she went above and beyond to meet strict budgetary requirements, yet provided her professional opinion on if cutting X or Y would result in a lower quality service, or hinder the guest experience. As someone who did most of the planning on my own and who isn't too wedding-savvy, this type of assistance was invaluable. Did I mention that all of our guests loved the food, Courtney's team did a great job delivering everything on-time, and she even followed up with me that day to make sure we had everything we needed? I am so glad to have had such a wonderful caterer/rentals vendor who cared as much about staying within budget and providing guests with a quality experience as I did! From catering, to event rentals, to the cake, and consultation -- Chrisabethella Catering definitely hit the mark!

I hired Kate to plan my wedding reception on relatively short notice, having a short engagement and soon realizing a reception would be too much. It's not much of a long shot to say Kate saved my wedding. She went far beyond the call of duty, put together a reception that matched perfectly with what I imagined after only a couple of conversations with me. She has an eye for the details as well as grasping the overall set-up. My bridal shower set up was amazing. Sharia came in and turned that stuffy hotel room into a real bridal suite. Even made two bridal signs to use as props for picturess in which I wasn't expecting. Didn't have music and she brought in her own speaker for us to use. I was very pleased.

    Jahmal Johnson is truly an outstanding professional who understands his customer's needs and does not hesitate to go the extra mile. For my daughter's wedding, I had no stress related to my attire. Not only did he make sure that I looked great, but I felt great! Every item he purchased and presented was a home run from the start.     I’ve been going to Deja for my hair needs for about 7 years now. She is by far one of the best stylists that I have ever seen. My hair texture isn’t the easiest to work with (long and very thick), and Deja makes it look beautiful every single time. She is thorough, but also efficient, and doesn't keep me in the salon for more than an hour and a half. Even during my difficult transition from relaxed to natural, I always left with soft and manageable hair. I have seen Deja for many different services, including cut, color, style, sew-in, and various others. No matter what the "do", I always receive tons of compliments when I leave her salon. One of my favorite things about Deja is that she constantly creates hairstyles that are in alignment with my vision. I have gone to other stylists who imposed their ideas on me or simply failed to achieve the look that I was hoping for. I have never had this problem with Deja. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented, capable, and knowledgeable stylist. You will not be disappointed.

    Ashley and Teri are amazing wedding coordinators! Our wedding day ran so smoothly and we couldn't have done it without their organization and attention to detail. I met with Ashley the summer before my March wedding to talk about my vision for the big day. She gave amazing advice, even before committing to using Charming Carolina, and she also recommended other vendors such as our amazing photographer (Megan Travis). Ashley even came to one of my dress fittings and a bridal shower! Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200.     What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

    When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

    • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
    • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
    • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer.     Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

    Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more.
