This was my first time exploring a personal trainer and I must say it was a good experience. Courtney motivates without that "drill sergeant" mentality and doesn't beat you up if you happen to indulge and eat what you probably shouldn't have. He will give suggestions as to what to eat and what to expect.
Mr Reed,is well qualified to do his job;he shows a great deal of compassion for his work ensuring his clients received the very best that he has to offer. Mr Reed is skillful,professional,interactive and punctual,the exercise packages that he offers are of great value.It's a pleasure having him as my instructor. Initially, I wanted Terry to just help me lost weight because it had gotten out of control for me. Terry has helped me understand what overall health means. He has developed customized meal plans as well as customized workout plans that not only help me lose weight but become healthier. I could not recommend him more highly to anyone that is seeking a personal trainer.
I've currently been working with Chuck and he is fun and very informative. I can see a change in my strength and he's very prodcutive when it comes to workout plans! Not just running on the treadmill like most trainers, he actually gives you a full body workout every time.
Two years ago I was walking across the street when I was hit by a car. I suffered neck and back injuries and ended up gaining weight. Afraid of injuring myself I stayed away from the gym. Truthfully, I wouldn't have known what to do if I went. As a local TV reporter I have to be on camera and the weight gain hurt my self esteem. I hated how I looked and felt. I was winded walking up stairs. Then I found Hugo! He has been amazing. He has gently pushed me to be the best I can be and modified exercises to accommodate my back and neck injuries. In just two months I have lost 20 pounds and 4 inches off my waist. More importantly, I feel better! For the first time since my accident. Hugo knows his stuff and because of him I am seeing results and on track to becoming the best me I can be. If you're looking for a personal trainer Hugo is the real deal! I can't recommend him strongly enough.
Sherry is an AWESOME personal trainer. She is knowledgeable, personable, and extremely motivating. IShe is encouraging, and diligently works with her clients to achieve their fitness goals. Of all of the personal trainers I have trained with, Sherry by far is the BEST OF THE BEST!! If you want results....she is THE ONE!!!
I have been visiting Edge for personal training/ group classes for about the last 6 months. I highly recommend the gym for those looking to train with individualized support and attention. The gym has clients that have been training with the owner, Daniel, over the years, giving it a more personal feel. Conveniently located right outside of Uptown, Edge Fitness has an open floor plan (think former warehouse space), with all the equipment neatly laid out (weights, cardio, boxing etc). Classes and personal training sessions push you, regardless of your fitness level. Tip: Purchasing training classes also gives you access to gym facilities outside of your training sessions.
Ishmael started training with me after I had become very out of shape and overweight. I had no motivation to work out until I started training with him. His style of training was extremely effective in motivating me to work hard at the gym. Since training with him I have found a new passion in working out. Ishmael also developed a diet plan for me that actually works. It's strict a diet plan but it's easy to follow and has resulted in rapid weight loss. Ishmael is not only a great fitness trainer but is also very knowledgeable in nutrition. Ishmael is an excellent motivator and truly cares about the people he is training.
I've been working with Candice since January. This is my first experience with a personal trainer and it's been excellent. When we started I had back issues and she thoroughly research my problem and to determine the best program to strengthen my back and to be sure we didn't do anything to harm it. I also wanted to improve my golf game and she researched and incorporated exercises into our program for that as well. My back feels so much better and I played two rounds of pretty good golf this weekend! She is extremely conscience, reliable and flexible and she really does her homework. She documents every session to determine progress and she is always positive, encouraging and complimentary on a job well done. She actually makes our sessions fun! I would not hesitate to recommend Candice and actually have already done so with friends.
Jay always makes sure to thoroughly explain each step of the workout, he takes times to cater to my needs and is patient. Jay's schedule is always flexible which is great for my busy lifestyle, and he never makes me feel rushed during our workout sessions. I always leave feeling like I've accomplished something and I'm one step closer to my goal! He always works out beside me so it doesn't feel like he's just standing around watching over me like most trainers do. He truly gives you a great experience!
Ciara is one of the most personal trainers I know. She really cares for your health and is very supportive. I would highly recommend Ciara ANY DAY! She easily can make your workouts cater to you and is very flexible with times. Also, if you want one of the toughest workouts of your life she can deliver, I promise!!!
Within week one, Dyzell provided great motivation. He is encouraging with pushing through the workouts and a great motivator - which exactly what I needed. Very patient, effective, GREAT rate and all around one of the best trainers I've ever worked with! I look forward to continuing! !
Erik is a great trainer. He was very quick to respond to my questions about personal training. He and the rest of the staff at Functional Fit Charlotte make you feel like a part of the family.

Jay is truly an excellent trainer that focuses on total body conditioning. The results I have achieved are largely due to Jay’s combination of challenging, diverse and fully customized training programs. Jay is definitely one of the best trainers in Charlotte, NC. Jay has more enthusiasm and energy than any person I’ve ever met. He is a master of his craft, incredibly bright with a vast knowledge of health and fitness.
In the last 10+ years, Sydney is the only coach/trainer that I have found with dynamic range, sensitivity, genuine respect, and awareness to cater her training, whether you're a competitive athlete or just trying to get back in shape. She deeply cares about helping people get better/healthier, but she doesn't force it. She has helped me figure out what I want, rather than what she wants, which is rare in this industry where it's easy to cop-out and say, "take a few vitamins, do horrible workouts, juice cleanse, and you'll be fine." The list is endless, but I can't say enough about what a great trainer she is, and an even better person.
I love working out with My Fitness Foundation as it allows me to have a professional trainer, but on my time. So even though I set a time of 7pm if something comes up and I don't do it until 9pm I didn't waste my money or the trainer's time. The videos showing the exercises are great and the calls with my coach are motivating and fruitful. Highly recommend if you want a quality, results driven workout to fit your schedule, this is the one!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Carl was my trainer when I lived in North Carolina. He is awesome!! He pushed me and never let me give up. I lost all my pregnancy weight and then some. Last month I moved and now looking for a trainer in SC.
Jon was a great trainer! He has knowledge in both health and fitness while having good charisma to match. I would highly recommend him
