I have been in fitness for more than 33 years. I learned from my own battles with being over weight as a child and young adult, having battled weight issues and emotional eating. I know how it is as an overweight person, a person who has never lifted a weight when I was younger, who has been inactive and have little to no understanding of what to do to get healthy, lose weight and build lean muscle. I have been where you are now. A long time ago, I decided enough was enough and started working out even before I started getting my certifications in fitness and specializing in nutrition because I wanted to know what I needed to know for me. I got my certification in personal training just so I new how to do things right for myself. I continued with wanting to know more learning more and more. Now I can use my education to help others overcome these issues with creating healthy food and lifestyle changes. I am very passionate about exercise and what it can do for your body and you're overall wellness! It’s a lifestyle and when you start to see your body transform, it’s the best feeling. I truly love exercise and training weights especially. It gives you a high that can't be beat. Not only will I help you achieve physical conditioning, but how you feel from the inside out . I’m not just a trainer, but a mentor, friend and life coach . I will teach you balance and coach you on the proper nutrition that isn’t overwhelmingly strict . Small changes to your nutrition every day add up to a lifestyle change that your body will thank you for!
I use weight training to create lean muscle which increases the metabolism and burns more calories. High reps moderate weight too shred the body. This style of training allows the body to burn fat and shred down with out additional cardio. Ultimately my sessions are no more than 45-60 minutes, 1-3 days a week with me and other days on your own. I will teach you how to train with proper form so you can continue your journey eventually on your own. As a fitness professionals with life, families and work demands outside of the gym, I understand that finding time to balance and maintain that balance can be challenging . This is why each individual has a program created to fit that YOU time in between everything else.
It's all addicting and once you find something you like, you have fun at it and it makes you want to do it more and stick with it. So for me, I just truely believe It makes you just feel great almost every time I work out no matter how bad I feel I always feel better after. If you stick with it, change will happen, it won’t happen overnight, but consistency is key.
Exercise is an absolute must, i feel weight training is essential to achieve weight loss and maintaining it. We were not meant to sit at a desk or on a couch all day.
