I wish to let everyone know that Nick is top notch in his field. He is extremely knowledgeable, a very honest and trustworthy person offering his services at fair prices. I had a hard drive crash at the most critical time and Nick treated me more than fair in the cost when others where quoting astronomical prices, Nick was able to recover all of my data in a very short time without losing the information that I needed the most. I was making final edits in my Master's Thesis paper, one week from dead line due date, and you know what happened? The hard drive died, with the last back-up copy of the work was only in the rough draft. Panic time !! Nick recovered the information, copied it to a new drive, and provided me with an external back up drive. Thank you Nick you saved me countless hours of redo work and helped me graduate on time. I would highly recommend Nick Covey to anyone who is in need of data recovery. Thank you again Nick, you are awesome in my book !

Pat was awesome awesome awesome. In a very short amount of time, practically over a weekend, the woman did wonders for me! I was a frantic mess in trying to find an editor for my dissertation equivalent project for my doctorate degree. God knew what I needed. We communicated through text, emails, phone, etc. and she was available to talk corrections and edits from start to finish. Well worth the 575.00! I plan to use her for my non profit and when I start writing my book as well. Thanks so much Pat and God bless you!!!

I have known Pat Lewis for many years. She has been an invaluable help to me with my professional work. I write book reviews for a national science teacher organization and Pat has helped me to edit my reviews to insure that they are professional. I would highly recommend her for any editing that you might be done. She is efficient, provides precise suggestions and her feedback on the text allows you to make decisions that you feel are most appropriate. Pat is very professional and will help you to produce high quality work just like she has done for me.

Are you in the market for finding a qualified, experienced, professional designer? Are the quality and results of your design projects important to you? Do you actually care how you are showing up for your clients? Is your goal to get your message delivered in an attractive, clear and compelling way? If you answered yes to any of this, you need a graphic design pro. As in PROfessional. And, I get it, it's hard to wade through all the profiles and responses that you get on a platform like Thumbtack. So let me help you cut through all that. Book Sergio, right now. He is the real deal - an artist with the expertise, technical design skills, creativity and real world experience. You are missing out if you don’t click the button and order up your next design project from Sergio, before I book him solid. I'm a mom - this feels like sharing your best babysitter's phone number. (Risky, the next time date night comes around) One more thing, if your project is going to require commercial printing or other output - such as signage or banner - don't chance it by hiring a rookie - creating a design that looks good on the screen - is different than creating for output. There are not enough stars on this app to tell you how great it is to work with Sergio. And, here's the sprinkles on top, he happens to be an awesome human, who someday, I hope to share a spicy margarita with. Why are you still reading...click the button. Hire Sergio.

I hired Bruce Davis and Around HIS Image Publishing to publish a book for me, a novice writer. After making a few other contacts with less than desirable results I made contact with Bruce Davis. I had no clue what I needed to do except write but he and the Around Him team made it an awesome experience, holding my hand throughout the entire process. With God's confirmation we've been working together and I have nothing but admiration and respect for him as a person and business man. If you find yourself in need of a marketing company or publisher he is the right person.

Charlotte is the Production Editor for a journal that I work on as one of several Editors, published twice a year. I compose articles for the journal, write book reviews, obituaries, and contribute photos and other illustrations that pass through the Managing Editor for the journal for initial editing, who then passes the material to Charlotte to arrange into a multi-page product, complete with color illustrations. That is where the real work starts, because she has to ensure that column-spacing is adhered to, marginal photos need to be enriched with color and accuracy of content, and eventually provide a draft galley for proofreading. Her experience with computers and the special features that programs involve is extraordinary, and is well paset the point that a beginner would attempt. At that point, the content is essentially printer-ready because there is little to change or correct, a factor of her ability to edit where necessary. The associated good news is that she is well organized and performs what is needed in record time with no delays. I am looking forward to working with her in abouit 5-6 months when the next issue of the journal is due for publication.

I gave Ryan O'Rourke an MP3 of a recent interview to be transcribed and soon to be incorporated into my forthcoming book on the entertainment industry. Did an expert job and just assigned him another one. Very professional and very thorough. I would highly recommend him and Little Prince Translation services highly.

Proofed to Perfection gave me a very detailed edit. After years of trying to get published, I submitted my book to Pamela Guerrieri, got an edit that cleaned up my inconsistencies, and she even helped me with my book proposal for free. After working with her and fine-tuning my book I started submitting again and got a publishing deal with a decent small trade publishing house (which I found from a list of reputable publishers Pam gave me). My book finally got published, is making me money, and it's all thanks to Pam Guerrieri and Proofed to Perfection.

Katie edited my novel in a fast, professional manner. She had wonderful insights into the content and her suggestions were spot-on. Her edits were exactly what I needed to finish my book--and now it's under contract for publication. I could not have finished this novel without her help. I highly recommend Katie!

Write Way Publishing Company really cares about the quality of your book. The editing services may apply lots of red to your pages (at least in my experience!), but only to make the book better. The time and experience they apply to formatting any book project they take on means getting a book-store quality book for those of us independently publishing our books. I am very happy with the support they offer and the work they do for me and look forward to a long association with them.

“Sarasvati is a very gifted massage therapist. During our session, while listening to my concern, Sarasvati seemed to assess me like she was viewing a holographic picture-book. My intention, prior to receiving her touch, was to shift a very compressed area of my hips that would allow the pain to release and relaxation to settle in. Sarasvati spoke gently but very deliberately about the area she needed to reach and manipulate – an area which was deep inside the muscular framework of my body. This helped me enter the helaing process with her. The Therapists’ knowledge and manipulation of the area was executed with precision and skill; she sustained a presence with her work until she sensed a point of completion. I cannot compare Sarasvati’s work with any other – but the quality and effectiveness of her work cannot be denied. I was very happy with the results." K. Tibbetts

Mr. Harper constructed a brilliant website for me, and he's been so supportive in teaching me how to use it. He's also edited all of my novels and designed my covers, as well as formatted my books as Ebooks and Print books for a number of online stores. Mr. Harper is a brilliant man and very savvy in the publishing world. He's efficient and systematic in terms of getting things done by a deadline as well.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cargo & Co. Events, I don’t know what I would have done without them. I thought that I could pull a wedding together myself, but as the date got closer it became evident that I needed help, and Cargo & Co. Events was invaluable! I worked with the amazing Gineen and early on, she put me at ease, made a point to stay in constant contact, to give suggestions, task lists and keep me on track. If not for her, I would have put off booking all the services for way longer than I did (and it would have been too late!). Gineen finalized all the vendor details and organized the rehearsal and set up. She came prepared with printouts and diagrams of where everyone should be and walked us through the process multiple times. On the wedding day, she handled everything — all the vendors, timeline, flow, set up and clean up (both inside and out as the ceremony and reception were in the same place) and corralled our wedding party and family. The peace of mind that I had knowing that everything was being handled by Gineen and her assistant, Chanel allowed me to relax and enjoy the day. That is worth more than I can ever say. Gineen is friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, smart, organized and so competent that I trusted her with everything. I can’t thank Gineen enough for the amazing work and would recommend Cargo & Co. Events to anyone looking to organize any type of event.

Working with KM Design + Marketing has been a great experience from beginning to end. I had the pleasure to work with Ms. Metivier directly she helped me design my first poetry book! She made it seem so easy. I am now working on a 2nd book I will definitely publish and I’m definitely will be getting in touch with her for her guidance and professionalism.

As I began to 'refind' myself, I wanted to step out and do something I had never done before. I saw Robert posting pictures from events and shoots he had done and thought this was what I was looking for. I sent him a message and booked my shoot. OMG, this was the best experience I had ever had in front of a camera. Noted as camera shy, I was coached into some of the most beautiful, classy, yet sassy photos I have ever seen of myself. Losing 30 pounds (now 50), I finally was able to see the person I lost many years ago. Thank you, thank you, thank you Robert for all you did for me and my confidence. Your services are HIGHLY recommended!

        About

As a former project manager, the concept of effective and inspirational leadership has always been important for me. The right type of leaders can motivate teams to do incredibly important and inspiring work. This led me to commit three years, from 2014 to 2017 interviewing various CEOs, entrepreneurs, and academics regarding their thoughts on leadership. Combining those discussions with workplace survey research from Gallup and other organizations, along with a little known report regarding U.S. Special Operations I've been able to compile a handful of "truths" to share with future leaders. These truths comprise the core of my upcoming book "5 Truths for Leaders".

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How do you hire a good grant writer?

Grants are available to nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses that qualify for government grants, and individuals who qualify for foundation or government grants. Hiring a good grant writer can help you gain funding in your chosen field. According to the American Grant Writers’ Association, grant writers can help you research potential grant opportunities; write grant proposals, create budgets, and build budget narratives; review written materials before you submit; prepare a business plan; analyze your organization for grant competitive qualities; prepare research grants; help with 501(c)(3) applications for nonprofits; and more. Investing in the right grant writer could result in a financial win for your organization. Generally no licenses or certificates are required to be a good grant writer, but you may want to find a grant writer who has been certified (not just received a certificate of completion) by a reputable organization such as the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. Qualities to look for in a good grant writer include:

        • Proven success writing winning grants, especially in your target area.
        • Strong writing skills.
        • Strong math skills and demonstrated proficiency with budgeting.
        • Careful attention to detail — brilliant grant proposals may be rejected just for formatting errors, so you want someone who follows instructions explicitly.
        • Expertise in your target area.
        • Punctuality and good communication skills.

How much does a grant writer cost?

Hiring a grant writer can give you a competitive edge when applying for financial grants for your business or nonprofit organization, or as an individual. The cost to hire a grant writer can vary depending on their academic background, areas of expertise, previous grant writing success and years of experience. According to the Grant Professionals Association, grant writers should be paid hourly or by flat fee. It is unethical for a grant writer to accept a commission or percentage compensation of grant monies received. They can, however, be awarded bonuses in line with the hiring company’s prevailing practices. Here are some examples of average grant writing fees:

        • Hourly rate for grant writers with less experience or fewer grants awarded: $25-$35 per hour.
        • Hourly rate for grant writers with some degree of success: $35-$75 per hour.
        • Hourly rate for grant writers with proven success winning large grants: $75-$150 or more per hour.
        • For a smaller grant, the writer may charge a flat fee of $200-$500 for preparation and submission.

Pricing may also vary based on the complexity of the grant application. A federal grant that requires pages of research, budgets and a business plan may take more than 30 hours to prepare. For a high-level grant writer who charges $100 per hour, this means $3,000 or more in grant writing fees.

Most grant writers will provide you with a total cost estimate before agreeing to the work. You may be required to pay a deposit up front, or the grant writer may work from a retainer. Often, seasoned grant writers pay for themselves in the long run by writing successful grants.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
