Meagan baked 150-200 cakepops for my wedding reception favors. She made two flavors of my choosing and made them in the exact style and color scheme to match my wedding décor. I even sent her ribbon and monogrammed tags that I wanted on the favors and she individually wrapped and tied the tags to the pops! She arrived early, set up the favors on a display, plus the pops tasted great! She did a wonderful job and I would definitely recommend her for any party planning events!

Having Aneesa and Nathan Glines as our wedding planners were definitely the best decision we made for our wedding! I am a very organized person, so I was skeptical at first if having a wedding planner would be worth while--but it was beyond worth it. Aneesa is so professional, yet friendly, energetic and sweet; as well as, super organized and flexible when things change. There were so many details to tend to and we didn't have to worry about any of it. The wedding was perfect and beautiful - she totally understood the look we were going for and made it happen. Her suggestions, ideas, and her follow-through lived up to every expectation I had and her ideas were more than I could have ever dreamed. They are absolutely the best! . I was referred to use J&H Weddings and Events from a friend who used them in the past. I was a little hesitant about using a planner for my wedding because I've had a horrible experience using an event planner in which it did not turn out the way I've liked it. I would say that this company exceeded my expectations in every way I could think of. The coordinator was super helpful and the staff was very professional. I can honestly say that hiring Natasha as my wedding planner was the best money that I spent on our wedding. She was easy to work with, punctual in answering questions, quick to deal with issues/problems, and very knowledgeable in dealing with vendors in the wedding industry. She worked closely with my husband and I to assist us in staying within our budget while making our day an unforgettable and beautiful one. I cannot say enough awesome things about Nasim. She worked with me from beginning to end and has awesome ideas on what to do with my venue space. My wedding turned out beautifully thanks to her handy work. Not only did she do all the decorating and centerpieces, but she took care of all the floral arrangements as well. Lilac Floral Decor is truly a one stop shop. I was able to save so much money not having to hire a florist separate from Nasim which I am so grateful for. Guests came up to my husband and I all night long complimenting the venue and the decorations. It really couldn’t have been any better, it was perfect! Nasim and her partner were at my venue from early morning until my ceremony began at 3 in 95 degree heat making sure everything was perfect. I would recommend Lilac Floral Decor for any event, Nasim is the absolute best!

Sheila was an excellent choice to help plan my honeymoon. Our wedding was 6 weeks away and we had to come up with a plan B for the honeymoon. Sheila and i spoke and she was on top of everything. She gave us all the information we needed and took care of everything. She is very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. She gives you one on one service and makes sure you have everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Now, I can't imagine using anyone else. She is amazing.

We started planning our giant Indian wedding extravaganza about three months before the big day(s). The process was overwhelming at first. An event coordinator at one of our two venues saw our distress and suggested Jocelyn as our weekend coordinator. After our first meeting, we knew immediately that she would be a great fit - what a relief!! Jocelyn coordinated an entire weekend of wedding events for us, including a Friday night reception in Venue 1, a Saturday morning wedding ceremony in Venue 2, a one-hour room flip in Venue 2, a Saturday evening horse procession to Venue 2, and a Saturday evening reception in Venue 2. Before our wedding, she calmly dealt with a multitude of decoration and logistical requests from myself and the extended family. She was never flustered, always flexible with her time, and always extremely optimistic. She also had great suggestions for vendors and services that fell within our limited budget. The weekend of our wedding went beautifully, and while some minor details ended up falling through the cracks (centerpieces were different from what we planned - not that anyone but the immediate family noticed!), nothing major went wrong - which is a HUGE accomplishment for a massive Indian wedding planned only in 90 days. Many of our wedding guests told us it was the most organized Desi wedding they had ever been to. What an achievement! None of this would have been possible without Jocelyn. Her and her team are the absolute BEST!!!

I loved working with Ashley and Trent to make my wedding day perfect. They were so attentive to my wants and made sure they fully understood my vision for my wedding. They helped make appointments and went with me to those appointments to take notes, point some things out, offer suggestions, but everything was still completely my decision. They are a great team and I had so much fun with them. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but they took all of that away! The day of the wedding they were both there to make sure everything went smoothly and went off without a hitch. They kept me laughing and enjoying every moment while they took care of all of the little details with such care. We highly recommend Lilli's coordinating services based on our experience with her as our wedding day of coordinator. She delivers professional service at an excellent value. Before the wedding, she was organized, asked questions that we might not otherwise have thought of, and prevented things from falling off our radar. As promised, she learned all of our vendor details beforehand and contacted vendors to finalize their arrival. On the day of the wedding, Lilli did a great job managing everything. She put out fires for us, acted on our requests promptly, and communicated with us efficiently when our input was necessary but did not overburden us with details or decisions.

    Alecia provided decor for my wedding in 2014 and it was beautiful. I told her my theme and she went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. She was effecient and listened to the details. She made custom centerpieces for the tables and even made the boutonnière soft the men! She's awesome.... Simply put!

    I don't even know where to begin, but I cannot thank the Alicia and the Essence Events team enough! truly offers the best in creativity, quality, service, and people. Alicia immediately picked up on my ideas and started throwing back complimentary ideas and sketches. I basically only had an outline for what I wanted for each event, and Alicia filled in the blanks with what she knew I would love and with what she knew would look over the top amazing. She immediately started sketching out our ideas and pulling up images to help with our design session. We were all extremely excited to see what they would create for us just minutes into the first appointment. The whole team is extremely thorough. They walked us through every aspect of our wedding weekend where we would need their services. They were always open about what could inflate our total cost and at the same time they always had great substitute ideas that would save us money. They are also very open about what is and isn't possible design/logistics wise. But I have to say, the possibilities greatly outweigh the impossibilities with them. Also, they are always quick to answer all of our questions, which is always appreciated. I know my review isn't pointing out a lot of specifics, but all I can say is that they are simply the best. They created magnificent dreamscapes for all our wedding events. I really wish I had more events for them to decorate for me! We are forever grateful and could not praise them enough!!     I hired Paris to direct my wedding the week before. I did not have flowers or a cake and had to change venues at the last minute. Paris was able to work in a limited time frame and pulled off an almost impossible job! I thought I was going to have to cancel my wedding but she saved the day. Thanks!

    My now husband and I were lucky enough to work with Emily while planning our wedding at City Winery. To say Emily went above the call of duty would be an understatement. She was patient, attentive, friendly, and fun to work with. Looking back I can now say I was a pretty high maintenance bride, but Emily wasn't phased by it (or at least didn't let it show!). She always responded quickly to emails and phone calls and answered my myriad of questions. When we thought the worst had happened, losing our photographer, she was ready and able to provide us with suggestions for back up photographers. I would be happy to hire Emily again and I whole-heatedly recommend her for any of your event planning needs.

        I had the honor to have Pink City Decor do a couple of my wedding events as they were just getting started with their business! They have so much creativity and put together some new ideas that I have not seen at any other events, from backdrops, to mandaps, to flower arrangements, etc! Loved my mendhi and vidhi backdrop! Ami is very responsive and easy to work with and listens to what you want to make you happy for all your events!         What does a wedding event coordinator do?

        Pulling off a large, complex wedding or an elegant, small affair requires juggling myriad details, including the officiant, food, drink, wedding cake, entertainment, transportation, rehearsal dinner, photography, equipment rentals, venue reservations and more.         A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

        How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

        A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place.         What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

        When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

        • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
        • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
        • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
        • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

        Do you have a portfolio? Ask to see photos of their favorite weddings, especially if they’ve managed any that are similar to what you have in mind. This will help you see if you like their style and if their ideas seem fresh and creative.

        Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

        Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

        • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
        • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
        • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
        • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.   
        • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
