I had requested Anita's help with a private yoga session. She was wonderful. The postures were explained in detail and she helped understand how they work. I'm glad I could meet her and get her help. It would be helpful if a follow-up email or a list of names of the postures was provided so that it could be written down and practiced. I will definitely be seeking Anita's help in the coming months. Thank you, Ankita.

Anita was great- we ( my teenage daughter and I) did a private first yoga lesson to get introduced to the practice. Anita explained each pose - the how to do and health benefits. She also adjusted the difficulty of each pose to meet our capabilities. I plan to sign up for a group session with Anita that's starting in a couple of weeks based on the very positive first experience! Anita's a great teacher!

I took a restorative yoga and essential oils workshop with Natasha recently. The yoga class was exactly what I needed to open up in a general way. Natasha not only provided clear guidance on what to do during the session, she gave interesting perspectives to focus the mind on and suggestions to bring a prop heavy practice into the home. The essential oils segment of the workshop was very informative and hands on. I felt very engaged with Natasha as well as the other participants. Again, Natasha made it easy to incorporate the topics covered back home into our personal practice by providing handouts and simple suggestions. The value of the workshop far surpassed the cost and I absolutely would suggest working with Natasha in any capacity she offers.

I have always been a “healthy” person in my opinion but could not get myself to understand a diet or something to focus on other than working out as hard as I can or as many times a week i can. Natasha learned about my goals and directed me through minor changes that I stuck to and they worked. First was when i age, 2nd was what nutrients i was under eating and over eating, then it was my small additional self care. Since I started the program I feel overall lighter and happier. My joints hurt less and I have lost weight that I couldn’t but working out. I learned a lot about myself and I’m very thankful

Natasha’s 10 week whole body balance course was truly life changing. I’ve tried nutrition coaching before and Natasha’s is by far the best health and wellness coach I’ve ever had. She’s very warm, knowledgable, and worked with me on a plan that was clearly personalized for me. After the course not only were my eating habits changed for the better, but my whole lifestyle changed. I’m more energetic, am sleeping great, and just more relaxed and happy. Thanks Natasha!

Sally is an effective meditation instructor who is dedicated to understanding her audience in order to maximize results. After taking her classes, I've been able to implement mindfulness best practices into my daily life and have noticed a definite reduction in my anxiety. She also taught me a series of yoga postures that I now do every morning - what a great start to the day! I would highly recommend Sally to other thumbtack users - thanks so much Sally!

I am a yoga newbie and even though I can tell Lisa is very advanced, she was patient and thorough in showing me proper pose form. She made me understand the purpose behind the movement and I was very able to relax into the poses under her instruction. Whether one is a beginner (like me) or more advanced, I can tell that Lisa has the experience and ability to tailor a session to any given individual's or group's needs. I am continuing to meet with her weekly so I can absorb her passion and knowledge!

I recently decided to try yoga. I have never really done it before so I was really nervous about going to a yoga studio and being the only one that couldn't do it! A freind of mine suggested I contact Lisa. She was quick to respond and was extremely professional. I have had three private sessions so far and I can't say enough about her. I have leaned so much from her and she offers modifications for things I'm not able to do properly. I would highly recommend Lisa. She's an excellent instructor!

Noel's yoga classes are always so relaxing and inspiring. I appreciate her insightful ways of growing my understanding of yoga philosophy. She really brings mindfulness and breathing alive in her classes and has inspired me to be a stronger meditator and use my breath to cope with stress and anxiety. Her assists are so soothing and after her classes I sleep like a baby! She explains the poses in a way that is easy to understand, and makes me stronger, which is especially good for my piriformis syndrome and scalene spasms. I highly recommend her classes to anyone with physical or mental health concerns. She is a beacon of wellbeing!

It was a pleasure to have Corinne come to my home and perform a massage!! She is a sweetheart and I felt comfortable right when I met her. I am a physical therapist and work with people all day long. Cheryl is an excellent yoga mentor. She starts off the yoga session at the YMCA with a slow pace, then picks up the levels of difficulty and then finally finishes off with some relaxation. She also takes some time to talk to each student before and after the the yoga sessions. Her yoga sessions are relaxing, challenging and invigorating. I like the background music which she plays during these yoga lessons. These are the same reasons why her yoga sessions are always interesting to attend. Plus she does keep a watch on every student to ensure their safety, comfort levels and correct posture. Her yoga sessions offers both stress relief and a refreshing workout. During the yoga session - there is a moment of Thanking at the start and end of the yoga session. The yoga lesson helps with stress relief and provides a full body workout. The yoga poses are ideal for people with back aches or posture problems. It helps strengthen the core muscles and body flexibility. I strongly recommend Cheryl as your future yoga guru.

Cheryl is an exceptional teacher who loves what she does. Her classes are always interesting, varied, and paced so students get results. I have had many yoga teachers. By far, Cheryl is the best trainer and educator I have had. She takes the time to explain what the breath and forms do for the body and why we should do them not just how. She is attentive to the wide range of strengths and challenges of each student and protects us from ourselves, reminding us not to push for 100% of each pose. When I started with Cheryl two years ago, I had a very bad back and very tight muscles. My strength, flexibility, and balance are vastly improved. I am very loyal to her classes because they are the reason for my improved well-being.

Cherryl is an amazing teacher! I have studying power yoga with her for three months now. I really like the way she comes up to me showing physically where the pose needs to be, also touching where it needs to be adjusted. I always feel great and refreshing when I leave her practice, she can definitely make you break a sweat! Thanks for everything you really have improved my quality of life.

Years ago, I received shiatsu massage from Wendy. This was the trigger for many other health improvements for me. When I lived in the Boston area, I also followed yoga courses with Wendy: great instruction, with a gentle lead that takes you to your personal limit. Along the way, and even now (living abroad), Wendy has been there to advised on the many complicated issues in nutrition and diet for general health and fitness. Her command of this knowledge is really impressive. I love how she remains current on these topics so she can pass this knowledge on to me. Wendy is always open to dialogue, new ideas and listening to my own experiences. This makes me feel like we work together as a team in discovering deeper insights to physical and mental health. Working with Wendy is never dull - she is relentless in questioning the current situation and always looking for the best direction forward. Wendy considers all dimensions of health. In short... I trust Wendy's knowledge, skills and judgement.

I am very pleased with Wendy's Health Coaching. She has been able to help me with several health issues. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate in helping those who face health challenges. The addition of the Yoga helps to compliment the coaching. I am planning to continue with Wendy and know I will see my health improve on a weekly basis. It is always wonderful to have a good support system.

About

Yoga means union or yoking. I teach yoga asana (postures and movement) and pranayama (breath) physical practices. These practices tone inner organs and systems, as well as the outer physical body. Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years. It is a natural past time for creating maximum potential for health and well-being. Rituals and meditation are also forms of practice I teach. If invited, I can give puja in your home, office, or studio invoking Ganesh. I am in continuous training and practice for offering puja and can offer this if I am empowered to. DRawing Sri Vidya chakras is a sweet past time for mental health. Meditation on three dimensional Sri Vidya chakra helps create maximum life happiness. This is something I can teach to you or your group.

About

Yoga is offered for all ages, levels, lifestyles and bodies! Custom and unique yoga practices tailored to the needs of individual students. With a strong focus on alignment and hands-on adjustments, Lauren creates fresh and exciting sequences that will invigorate the spirit. Borrowing elements from Tai Chi, Budokon, Pilates and various yogic disciplines, Lauren can accommodate any level of athleticism, strength and flexibility. Anyone can practice yoga; all that is required is to step on the mat and open the mind. Class styles include: * Hatha Yoga This is a slower and more traditional approach. Postures are sustained while the focus remains on alignment and breath. This is a great start for beginners and yet still challenging for veteran yogins who want to improve postural alignment. * Power Yoga It is fantastic for building strength, focus and balance. With more time spent on the standing series, students will be challenged both physically and mentally as the core gets a serious workout with Power Yoga. * Vinyasa Flow For any level, Vinyasa flow classes are dynamic and movement oriented. It includes dance from one Asana to another and move with the breath. * Yogalates This is a yoga and Pilates fusion that is great for increasing core strength and toning glutes and thighs. Classes usually start with a standing series of yoga postures and continue with Pilates style floor work. * Restorative Yoga It is a gentle practice perfect for anyone yearning to slow down and relax. Restorative yoga is also highly beneficial for those recovering from injury or suffering from chronic pain. The majority of the practice is done in a supine position with the body supported by props such as blocks, bolsters and blankets. * Prenatal Yoga It helps you connect with your baby, continue to strengthen the body and relax the mind. Prenatal classes are meant to help ease anxiety about delivery, relieve tension in the body, and help mom and baby bond. Prenatal yoga is suited for any level and all trimesters. * Yoga for Hockey players Designed specifically for men who play hockey, Lauren’s yoga for hockey players series targets tightness that results from the love of the game. This series will increase balance, focus, stamina and stability both on the mat and on the ice. Specific attention is given to shoulders, hips and groins, increasing range of movement and strength in these areas, and making them less prone to injury. * Corporate Yoga

About

We provide a personal yoga and wellness instruction in a comfortable and nurturing environment. You will learn at your own pace with an amazing teacher.

About

My classes focus on working to be present, both emotionally and physically. My classes are influenced by traditional hatha practice that incorporates invitational language and options for modifications and personal choice. Through an intentionally and thoughtfully sequenced class, I work to guide students to link body and breath to clear the mind while elongating, strengthening, and opening the physical body. One of my favorite parts about teaching is to help students as their practice evolves. There is always room to take a pose to the next level or to take a step back and explore the foundation of a pose. I hope to create an environment that offers support, safety, and an invitation to create self-compassion. I teach hatha, vinyasa, yin, restoratives, and therapeutics for all levels.

About

I offer individualized yoga, pranayama and meditation classes. I tailor every class to the individual needs of my clients. I have my 200-hour teacher training and can lead classes in vinyasa, yin, and more restorative. I am dedicated to providing classes that make students feel comfortable, heard, safe, and relaxed.

About

I focus on whole body health by using all the tools I have. I want to help clients learn about themselves. I educate them about Ayurveda and yoga. I have been teaching yoga for over 15 years with a focus on alignment and the importance of proper breathing. I also look at their lifestyle and diet to help them achieve their goals through the use of yoga, meditation, food, and herbs. I am also a Reiki master teacher, craniosacral practitioner, and herbal apprentice.
