Jerome did a great job mounting a 60inch TV to the wall. Was a tough job as there was a concrete wall behind the drywall but he managed to make it work. It looks great.
I had Pete power wash my rooftop terrace, consisting of cedar decking and concrete pavers . He washed the cedar decking and built in planters by hand. Thoroughly removing all mildew, algae and grim without harming the wood. He used a pressure washer on the concrete pavers which he brought to the job. He did a great job! Fast and clean. It looks great! I would recommend him for similar work. Very pleasant to work with.
Hired American Brothers to repair 2 porch steps and resurface some loose concrete. They did a fantastic job. Came when they said. And explained in detail what they would do to fix our problem. They gave a reasonable price. Would recommend this company to anyone. Very nice and polite workers.
Giovanny did some concrete work at my home....showed up quickly for quote....started and completed the job the very next day. His pricing was fair and he did quality work in a timely. I am very pleased we chose to go with Giovanny and I would definitely use him again in the future!
The job involved staining the deck, screwing in loose boards, and fixing two hand rails of a stairway of a deck that is roughly 980 square feet. I had also asked for the replacement of a crumbling sidewalk- roughly 175 square feet. Thomas Fredrick was fantastic. He was prompt in arriving to give the quote and pitching the price- which was very reasonable given the size of the job. He and his crew were prompt in arriving and quickly finished the deck in two days. The concrete work also took about two days- between the removal of all of the old concrete and pouring in the new foundation. All of my expectations were exceeded (which is rare for me), given the size of the job. Tom also took on the repair of one fence panel piece & replacement of a mailbox that had a broken cover. Any questions/requests that I had were quickly addressed (which rarely happens with some contractors). I am extremely satisfied and would consider TNS for future jobs and would highly recommend them to others in the area.
Jon Iorio Masonry was a God send. I was very pleased with the work completed by Jon and his staff. I am hesitant to hire help and I try to do all I can to save money as well as having prior bad experiences hiring help. Jon fixed the cracked and big chunks of missing stucco going down my basement entrance which included repairing the cause of moisture getting in. He also fixed an 11 foot jagged (2 inch deep in some places) crack in my retaining wall patio floor. My driveway separated from the foundation of my house the entire length of the foundation. He repaired that as well. Lastly, the stamped concrete around my pool had several bad cracks and was desperately in need of being repaired/sealed. Jon repaired the cracks, power washed and resealed it. My stamped concrete looks beautiful again! All the above work was completed satisfactorily, as scheduled and I had no cleanup once completed. I believe the $2050 paid was affordable. The peace of mind that my repairs were done right is priceless. Plus Jon provided a 1 year guarantee on all his work! From first contact/Thumbtak reply through job completion Jon was great. He knows what he is doing, he thoroughly explained what was needed and how he would repair it. His job proposal was clear and there were no add in costs or surprises. I will definitely hire Jon Iorio again (for basement foundation crack and staining concrete patio). I recommend Jon to anyone seeking an honest, easy to work with, affordable professional masonry company.
Brick steps were replaced in front of house - foundation needed to be replaced as well. Two slabs of concrete on walk way needed to be torn out and area re-cemented. All work was completed within one day, as I was told, and the professionalism, quality of work and knowledge of what they were doing was quite evident. In addition to all these praises, the price was the best that I was able to obtain - more than fair.

M-Pro construction was very professional with the completion of a concrete patio they installed in my backyard. I am Very happy with the job and would definetly recommend them!
I hired Vinny to remove and replace a section of concrete and a raised concrete landing. He showed up on time, or early... did a great job, left everything clean and did it all for a really good price. So I had him come back to replace a limestone stair tread. He responded quickly to phone calls and texts and answered all my questions and concerns from estimate to end of job. I'm very satisfied with his work.
After a series of bad experiences with contractors, Joe Casio was a breath of fresh air! He has done very high quality work for me on a variety of projects including tiling my bathroom, installing a new ceiling after a flood, rebuilding a water damaged basement stairway, and installing a new front door. He demonstrates honesty, integrity, and pride in providing high quality work. He is a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend him without reservation! Cheryl N.
Pablo gave me a fair quote to replace 2 concrete slabs, a fence post and door. He showed up when he said he would, did the job in one day, and came back a week later to install he fence door I had to order. I would hire him again.
When you are inviting someone into your home, you not only need them to be knowledgeable and skilled on the desired task to be completed, but you need to feel safe and comfortable that you and your project are going to be well taken care of. I am in the midst of doing a first full home renovation in NYC, which is no easy task, and my concrete floors needed to be removed asap in order to advance. The company that installed my floors previously did a poor job resulting in the floors to fail. Luckily, I found GMA concrete and Giovanni and his team were ON IT from day one. You have to understand that I'm the kind of person who says, "If I can do this myself, why would I pay someone else to do it". And I admit that I can be a bit of a demanding client - probably because I demand so much of myself - but Giovanni met me with patience and professionalism. He walked me through step by step the reasoning behind what he had to do and why. He was focused on finding long-term solutions for my floors instead of just the quick fix. He did the one thing that seems to always be an issue with people in this field of work... he communicated clearly with his client! His responses were timely, his demeanor was polished, his work was exceptional and on top of all that - he was just a nice guy. With all of the understandable stress that goes into a home renovation, it was a comfort to know that I was in good hands. My only regret is that I didn't meet him sooner so that I could've had him do more on my project. This is my first review on this Thumbtack thing and really my first review I've written on any site. I work what feels like 100 hours a week just to barely pay my mortgage so I really don't give my time to stuff like this - but I know that these blurbs are important for people who have to invite strangers into their homes. Obviously, I can't speak to anyone else's experience with GMA except my own - but in a world where people can make the choice do wrong and take advantage of their clients, its good to know that there are commendable people out there who are doing things the right way and it didn't feel right to let that go unnoticed. Feel free to email me on this thing if you need to. It might take me a sec but I'll respond.
Did a great job fixing up my basement after we had an oil tank removed. New wall put in, floor leveled out with concrete and vinyl tile placed. Very prompt and a pleasure to deal with. The job was completed very timely.
Ryan came over today as planned. Good attitude, ready to work and a funny guy too. Our deck and stairs look great, and he even threw in painting the wood lining our driveway. He did such a great job, he’s eventually coming back to take care of the cracks in our concrete, and I’m sure that work will be just as fantastic! Thank you, Ryan!
I had a concrete wall put up by Mr. Zahid, he took his time and got the job done it was so perfection I will for sure call zahid up for any furthest work around the house!
Pete and team did an amazing job on our backyard patio and pergola area. We were first going for concrete, but Pete recommended pavers that didn't go over our budget and looked so much better then concrete. I am very happy with the workmanship and the outcome of the project. I highly recommend PDS.
I've hired John for two projects: pour concrete pads for A/C and landscaping. Both project were recently completed and I'm very happy with the result. John and his crew did an excellent job. Highly recommended!
For the past two years I've had serious handyman stress. I've needed someone badly for a list of small jobs around the house that grows month by month. When I heard about Integrity HandyMan Services from a friend, I called and the rest is fabulous history. First of all, Dan and his crew can do almost anything. My first need was to have an ugly old fence replaced. They did an exceptionally good job. Even when the usual obstacles appeared - in this case 200 lb concrete footings buried in the soil but not reusable because they were improperly done - they were removed, disposed of, replaced by new footings, and the fence is gorgeous. Pictures below. Second of all Dan and his crew completed a list of both necessary, utilitarian repairs and improvements around the house, and then a list of nice-to-haves. I am delighted with all of their work. Rates are very reasonable. And the range of things that they are not only willing, but very able, to do covers just about everything. Integrity HandyMan Services is reliable, responsible, honest, affordable, trustworthy, competent, professional, and delivers high-quality. Hire them. You won't be disappointed.
Dean has completed many masonry projects at our home over the year. He and his crew have replaced 16 sidewalk panels and the driveway apron, excavated and built three stone walls with multiple levels connected with bluestone steps, new construction concrete pool decking, and a gorgeous living room fireplace makeover. Highly recommend, prompt, professional, quality work.
