My son takes drum lessons from Rob and I can't recommend him enough. He is a professional drummer and a professional teacher who has inspired my son to play and practice! Aside from being a patient, engaging and very talented teacher, he has the unique ability to make drum lessons both fun and productive.
Fun drum lesson. Plus I learned a lot in only an hour. I'm going to continue taking lessons.
I have known Brian quite a long time, so when I wanted to pick up playing music, it was only natural to go to Supreme Sound Studio for lessons. It didn't take long for Brian to take me through a refresher course on bass and simultaneously teach me how to play guitar. Reading sheet music, theory, great hands on explanations for what I was being taught. The lessons are friendly, fun and full of information. After I was taught basics it was up to me to decide what I wanted to learn. Every week I pick up new tips and tricks for the guitar. What seemed so difficult is quickly becoming significantly easier. I have two children that expressed interest in playing instruments. My 9 year old daughter has been taking piano lessons and really enjoying it. Soon she will move to playing the violin per her request. My 7 yr old son has been taking guitar lessons from the staff at supreme sound which is equally knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Brian and Supreme Sound Studio for music lessons for anyone of any age. There are often instruments for sale there and if it's not in store, he will order the product for you with comparable or lower prices than competing music stores.
You can't go wrong with Ruben! Besides being well educated himself, he has a strong passion for teaching, which translate very well in the way he approaches each stundent within his or her parameters. My 5 year old son loves to go to his drum lessons and improves every week! My husband is a drummer himself, Dion Parson, and he always assures me that our son is in good hands - he leaves teaching the drums up to Ruben instead of him working with his son - that in itself says it all, I think!
Shu is just all around an awesome musician, flexible teacher and friendly person. He has been teaching me the bass for over a year and I have been able to play with a band!! He can play anything from blues to rock and everything in between. I have had lessons with other teachers but Shu is the first person I felt comfortable and relaxed with. He just knows his stuff and can teach it a way that's easy, fun and relaxed.
Dustin has been giving my 7 year old drum lessons for 2 years, he's great with my son, patient, talented and always on time. I can't recommend him high enough!

Our son, Matt, has taken private drum lessons from Mr. Moffett, at his home, for the past 2.5 years and lessons in school for the percussion ensemble. Peter helped Matt with auditions into the Senior Central Districts and this year Matt made the concert band. This is quite an honor to play at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA. Peter has taught Matt so much with drums and to be comfortable as to "who" he is. Peter is a great young man and we were sad he moved but wish him the best.
Kate Gentile was my drum instructor at a summer jazz program. She was a fantastic teacher with loads of helpful tips all geared towards improving my skills on the drum set. I would definitely recommend her to anyone look for a knowledgable and enthusiastic teacher.

I hired Mr. Ripley to give introductory percussion lessons to my 12 year old son who has expressed interest in pursuing the arts. We have had 5 sessions with Mr. Ripley and my son is very pleased with the way he tries to teach what he has interest in. Mr. Ripley connects with his students in a very effective manner that urges them to strive for what they enjoy doing. In just these 5 lessons my son has gone from knowing very little about drums to a adequate basic understand of percussion. Although I may fear loud drumsets in our basement in the future, I feel confident that Mr. Ripley has expressed how important it is to do what you love when it comes to the arts. For that, I am very grateful.

They are the result of many years of observation of my students learning the instrument. I offer an ebook which is a teaching method and a comprehensive guide to finger, hand, forearm, arm and shoulder therapy and development for anyone interested in learning piano or any other musical instrument. You can use these exercises as warm ups before the actual piano lesson. These exercises are great for children and adults of all ages. There is no need to have an instrument in front of you to do them. This ebook offers illustrations of the exercises as well as links to tutorials which are designed to help you to do the exercises correctly. They are useful to any profession. Whether you are a secretary who does a lot of typing on a keyboard or you are a brain surgeon performing one of the most complex surgeries, you will find these exercises helpful because they improve agility, coordination and responsiveness of your fingers. No matter what task lies ahead, it's always nice to have finely tuned instruments (in this case the hands) to do it with. Refine your body and it'll be easier to get the results you are looking for. These exercises are great for anyone taking musical instrument lessons, teaching any musical instrument lessons, and for those who already playing and just looking for ways to add agility to their fingers, and perhaps find more rewarding way to approach an instrument. They are very useful to children to help them develop their hands properly. These exercises are also very useful to anyone who are misusing their hands in everyday activities. And here is the best part: in reality they are useful to everyone because they stimulate one of the largest portions of your brain which is devoted to operating your upper limbs. So, the end result from doing these exercises is you not only going to have healthy and agile hands and fingers, but you are also going to be stimulating your brain activities; therefore, you'll be getting more intelligent. And here is the bonus: You do not need to buy any hand strengthening tools to train your muscles. Your brain will do the work for free. The knowledge is yours; take it! The arrangement of bones and muscles in the body is a marvel of engineering. Your hand alone has 27 bones. Under my instruction, you will learn how to use your hands, fingers, elbows, forearms, arms, shoulders and body weight correctly that will give your music a fluid and pleasing sound, and you'll do it effortlessly regardless of how simple or complex the piano piece may be.
