Four hours of awesome music from my daughters' personally selected "play list" entertained the kids for our double celebration (sweet 16/confirmation)! Nick made sure the DJ and photographer/photo booth were on top of it all, which made the evening a total success. Photo booth shots drew long lines as everyone enjoyed being goofy and serious for their party memories. It was very special that the photographer left the photo booth at times to capture those special ceremonial moments, like dang with dad, the "puzzle piece" ceremony, my girls dancing with their friends, one of my daughter's singing, and of course, the CAKE! Nick's personal renditions of Frank Sinatra favorites were a hit. I even heard someone in the crowd say, "That can't be him; he must be lip-sinking! He sounds too good!" But it WAS Nick! Nick encouraged the kids to dance but was not "Over the top" as I have seen in other "motivators". He facilitated the special dances and ceremonies included in the party, making each memorable. DJ Byrd was awesome! I organized a somewhat last-minute 50th birthday party for 75 persons, with a 1980's theme. And, I wanted a DJ for dancing AND karaoke. The event was only 3 weeks away; and, as I Googled local DJ's I stumbled upon Thumbtack and quickly entered the details of my party (I had never used the service before). I was happy to get several quality responses within minutes. I then reviewed the proposal and website (and Facebook page, if they had one) of each DJ that responded; then, I interviewed three final candidates. DJ Byrd's website was the most helpful, with many pictures and lots of information; and, both the website and Thumbtack profile of DJ Byrd included many positive and top-notch testimonials (like this one). In addition, DJ Byrd was the most impressive (and professional) DJ candidate on the phone interview. He asked me many relevant questions about my event, gave examples of similar engagements for which he was hired, and also had several great proposals for my party. He was very familiar with 1980's music, but still suggested that I send examples of playlists to that he could be sure to prepare a series of songs that I liked in advance. And, he suggested that he first play a series of quieter 1980's dinner hour songs, then start ramping up to more dance-type 1980's songs. That worked really well. And, once the party and dancing started, he really got the crowd moving and having a great time! We originally hired him from 7pm to 11pm, but we extended his service until 1:30am because people were having such a great time! Also very important was that he was the only DJ that also had terrific karaoke equipment, screens, wireless mics, and a vast karaoke song list! This proved VERY popular at the party. We sang karaoke and danced all night long! DJ Byrd's equipment, sound system, and light show were terrific. The whole presentation made our house feel like a 1980's disco night club! Finally, DJ Byrd was very professional, punctual, and courteous. He was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend his services (and we will use him again!).

Mo and Daniella were perfect!!! They arrived early to set up, gave instructions to each participant but in a friendly engaging manner. I communicated with Mo, he was easy to talk to, and has excellent customer service skills. He listened to my questions and had answers promptly. He drafted the perfect theme for the 2x6 photo, & matched my daughter Sweet 16 party theme. Mo was patient with the children that would try and whisk away the props from the table. David was a fantastic addition to my party of 25 adults and 5 teenagers! He performed entertaining tricks, seasoned with fun and clean, tasteful humor. The guests had a great time and all asked how I “conjured up” this magician :-) . He kept everyone interested with his positive energy, and he engaged all of my guests directly. For me as the host, this was really key, that everyone got to feel that they were involved. On top of it all, he has a really nice and friendly personality, and he was prepared and organized for the event. I would highly recommend him!

Rented a photobooth for a large Halloween party 180+ people many in wheelchairs and with disabilities. What an amazing time we had for my brothers surprise birthday party. The photo booth was the highlight of the night. Everyone enjoyed the great selection of props as well as the amazing backdrop. The service was excellent and the pics are clear, crisp, and bright. Of all the photo booth company's we came across Lew's photography fit well into our budget. That's why we're going to recommend them to our family and friends and will continue to hire them for our future events.

I hired Denny More for an Army send off party for my son. He performed a PERFECT show!!! He exceeded my expectations and then some. I cannot thank him enough!!! Everyone was walking up to me telling me how great he was!! Many guests came up to me telling me they wanted to hire him. The chief of the ambulance company wants to hire him for a fund raiser, my friend wants to hire him for her daughter's bridal shower, my cousin wants to hire him for his son's Bar-Mitzvah and the list goes on. We had an after party and the main topic was Deny More's show. The 2 young kids that were there could not stop talking about him, and trying to figure out how he did those tricks. I got calls from the adults thanking me for inviting them to a wonderful party. They were also baffled and amazed how he performed those tricks and how funny he was. I would recommend Denny More for any event as he does tailor it perfectly to what you need. I would hire him again in a heart beat! Denny More - Thank you so much!!!

Mariachi bands are rooted in Mexican culture. Traditional mariachi bands consisted of two or more members playing stringed instruments, wearing regional costumes adapted from the charro (Mexican horseman or cowboy). How much does a mariachi band cost?

A mariachi band will bring your party or event alive with their fabulous costumes, beautiful playing and strong vocals. The cost of a mariachi band for hire will depend on how many players are in the group. Each musician in a performance group needs to be paid, so pricing is usually based on the number of mariachis (musicians), the location of the event (and travel time required), and the length of the performance. Day of the week also affects cost, as does day — Christmas, New Year’s Eve and other major holidays will cost more than regular days. The national average cost for live bands of all types ranges between $740 and $1,200.
