My 6 year old is starting with drum lessons with Cassi and my 8 year old with guitar taught by Jack. Cassi and Jack are both awesome teachers! So patient and they make the lessons fun! My 8 year old also wants to do drum lessons now too and they both want to sign up for singing and piano in the future too! Can’t wait to get this family rock band jamming!!"See more

What really sets Mike apart is how much he invests in each of our kids individual interests. He tailors lessons around the music theyre excited about, which keeps them motivated and genuinely eager to practice.He creates a fun, encouraging learning environment while still teaching solid fundamentals, and he strikes a great balance between structured instruction and allowing the kids to discover their own style as they progress. As an example, although he is classically trained, I didn't want to take the classical approach, so I'm learning guitar through pop music. He is encouraging, gives thoughtful response to all my questions, and peppers in bits of music theory in each lesson. Jeff is a phenomenal guitar instructor. I am a 71 year old guy who took a year of lessons at age 8 and then was self taught. Along the way, college, marriage and children took precedence and I played infrequently. By the time I was ready to pick it up again, I had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and my fine motor coordination was greatly reduced. My recent attempts to play were frustrating to say the least and I thought, not terribly optimistically, that perhaps getting some instruction and correcting years of bad habits and learning things I neglected would somehow be rewarding. I did not hold out much hope, as I had tried this once before and the frustration of trying to move my fingers in new ways was too great.  I mention all of this to provide context for my review of Jeff.  Within a few minutes of sitting down with Jeff, I found that he had a remarkable sense of what I could do and what I needed. I realized that I would be going back to some basics and was concerned about how I would feel about that. Jeff was supportive and encouraging and I now feel that despite my personal difficulties, this was the best decision I have made in a long time. I look forward to picking up the guitar and practicing, something I have not felt since I began at 8.  Jeff can provide the foundation needed for beginners to flourish and the techniques for experienced player so to improve. He has an ideal temperament for teaching, always encouraging and positive. I wish I had found him years ago.
