Barth N. says, "Sierra did an excellent job on the installation, showing up same the same day I called (literally within about an hour) and I purchased a lower-end system. The system was installed on a very hot day, after it failed the evening prior. The install team was great, and they sent quality control over during the process to monitor. It was a bit of a hard sale, claiming we'd only get the price if we purchased while sales was here. Its evident I could have received a better price, but they are a top tier provider with many great reviews, and I agree with their statements, others would have cut corners. They also indicate they will come back in October to work with the inspector to permit it properly, which can be done anytime within 6 months. It included new drain pans, new air handler and furnace; my existing system was from the home builder 27 years prior. I definitely recommend them, just expect a premium for their high quality, responsiveness/speed (especially on a very hot summer) day, and professionalism. I usually don't do a rush decision, especially with a hard sale, but given my spouse's having had a stroke, and temperatures above 100, and the ability to have it completed the same day, I paid the premium. They definitely provided a quality installation. They even sent a crane over to lift the compressor up over the gate so as not to damage the equipment, it wasn't necessary as the compressor sits on ground level, and I offered to help lift it over the gate area, but they felt it best to use the crane. Yesterday they sent over someone to clean up the roof access. They use shoe covers, and protect everything with drop cloths and plastic, they really do take care and provide quality installation. I've dealt with other vendors when replacing our unit in Palm Springs a few years back, not with the same installation quality level."See more

I previously got a ridiculous quote from a large HVAC company to replace a failing capacitor. (Even the tech said it was too high!) I found DZS on Nextdoor and sent them a message via Thumbtack. I'm thoroughly pleased with the service M&R provided. He went above and beyond other HVAC companies that have serviced my unit. My unit is an older one from the 80s and he didn't pressure me to replace it. I cannot say enough about Jesus. Normally, I don’t leave reviews, but I wanted anybody who is thinking of hiring somebody to do their HVAC to seriously consider hiring him. I had called out a HVAC company because the AC in my upstairs have gone out and a very reputable company came out and told me it was a compressor. My house is only five years old so I thought that was really odd and because I was going through my home warranty was gonna be this whole long process. So in the interim, I called Jesus out just to double check and within 10 minutes he realized that it was the capacitor which is about a $40 part and not the compressor which is about $2500. His honesty, efficiency in fixing the problem was impeccable. Again, I’m not somebody that normally leaves reviews, but I felt compelled to let everybody know how happy and grateful for his work

Controlled comfort came out when my thermostat stopped working. They were able to fit me into their schedule the next day. It turned out that my HVAC unit will need to be replaced (which wasnt a complete surprise) but the technician provided me all of the details and was able to provide a temporary fix to help me until I can get the unit replaced. Very friendly service who showed up when they said they would.

We could not be happier with Manny and M&R Heating and Cooling. He has 5 stars for a reason. Our AC went out after the new thermostat was put in. We didn't know who to call and found Manny through Nextdoor. He responded quickly and was at the house in less than an hour. He made sure working the thermostat was the correct one before moving forward, fixed the problem, and then took the time to make sure our apps were set right and that the system was working correctly. I’m so glad to have found an honest technician in Manny from M&R. He came over for routine maintenance on my a/c unit and gave me a thorough explanation of everything he was checking and said it was all testing good except that one of my fans might be on it’s last legs. The previous company I had check my a/c units last year just tried to upsell me to replace them the whole time. No such pressure from Manny which I appreciated. Michael has been an actual GOD SENT!! He not only cleaned my AC unit and made it run(for reference, we didnt run it and hasnt been cleaned in years and it was FILTHY), he was able to program it to work again and WOW!! Its been colder than ever! He is a dedicated professional and I have compared his prices to others, he is more than fairly priced, he will give it to you straight, not try to upsell you on stuff you dont need.
