Jasson responded to my request immediately. I explained the problem to him, texted him a photo, and he came ready with the parts within an hour. My washing machine valves are now leak-free, and I'm already negotiating the next project with him. I would fully recommend.

This was definitely a very easy and painless process. We have lived in this home for about 5 years and the landlord decided that he wanted to sell it and we had to move. We have a good sized security deposit and I was afraid that we wouldn't get it back. Well, 6 hours later after the cleaning I'm sure that shouldn't be a problem. The maids cleaned the stove, oven, bathrooms, microwave and even some places I didn't even think of. Great Job!

Mike switched out my old microwave oven over the stove for a new one. While he was here, he also repaired a few electrical things that were bothersome. Then he fixed the sliders on my shower door which were not moving back and forth. He arrived on time for the appointment, and worked very fast. It seems that there's nothing he can't do. He has a strong mechanical mind and is very pleasant to have around.

I hired Extra Helping Hands to clean my 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2000 sq ft property in Riverside. Malekia and her crew did an excellent job cleaning the house. The oven and microwave wear filthy, as well as the kitchen floor and cabinets. Malekia and her cleaning team took care of all of that at a reasonable cost. I will definitely hire her team again. They were also on time, and finished their work within 3 hours. Great job.

Had an excellent experience with these folks. I needed last minute cleaning for my wife's birthday, they came out same day and didn't even charge extra. I came home and the house was spectacular. Microwave, oven, even the inside of the refrigerator was clean. I went upstairs, and I don't know how but they even got the hard water stains out of our glass shower door. The house looked great, I could not be happier. I will definitely use them again! Don't hesitate to give them a call.

They managed to take an oven that had not been cleaned in probably like 20 years and make it look brand new-that alone was worth the fee

We hired Amanda and martina (quick clean maids) to clean or 4bd 3 ba house that I am selling. We needed a deep clean which did cost extra. We had the blinds done, oven cleaned, all appliances wiped out and bathrooms cleaned, floors swept and mopped and upstairs vacuumed. They did a great job and I was so happy with how clean the house was I almost wanted to stay. It's smelt clean also which was a plus because we have dogs and it smelt a little like dogs. They also wiped down the base boards with the deep clean which was nice. I would recommend her ad the girls she works with. I will hire her again for sure.

I couldn't have better things to say about Ragtag Cleaning company! They're very reasonable, professional and friendly! I worked with Linda who was extremely pleasant and professional. My schedule was chaotic and had to reschedule a few times and she was able to work me into her schedule. I will definitely be using them in the future for cleaning and possible landscaping needs in the future. Thank you so much!!!

Luisa arrived before the scheduled start time with a positive, cheerful, “can-do” attitude! (She and her companion worker had much to do, as my fiance’ and I had just completed minor construction on our home prior to move in. So, I was especially grateful that she had arrived early!) she went right to work, and worked non-stop for 4 straight hours, though I had hired her for only 3! She did an excellent job cleaning the oven, fridge, drawers, floors and sliding patio doors! Clean, efficient, hard working, kind and positive! 5 STARS!

Brenda did a deep clean of my home, including oven, doors, moldings, fans, cabinet & door fronts and of course the floors. She is very thorough and detailed in her work. Pleasant and easy to work with. I intend to have her back again to do additional work because I was so satisfied. Glad I found her!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do you pay for house cleaning?

Hiring a professional house cleaning service is a helpful way to have a healthy home even when your work and personal schedule is packed. House cleaning prices vary based on how many square feet your home is, how dirty your house gets, and how often the cleaning service comes. Some companies charge a set amount — such as 5 cents — per square foot, with a minimum amount, such as $100. The national average cost for house cleaning ranges between $110 and $150. Prices can be lower in areas with a lower cost of living, higher in big cities or affluent regions. You may save money by increasing the frequency of your house cleaning visits. Often a company will charge you less per cleaning when you schedule more cleanings per month. The cost advantage rewards your loyalty, and also reflects the fact that more frequent cleanings make it easier to maintain a high level of cleanliness in your home. A housecleaning service may charge more for the first visit or for one-time services than for recurring cleanings.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

    • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
    • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
    • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

How much does it cost to deep clean a house?

Deep cleaning a house goes beyond the surface level to clear out the dust, grime and gunk that’s collecting on the fan blades, hiding in the blinds, and built up inside the refrigerator drawers. Deep cleaning of a home or apartment costs more than regular house cleaning because it takes more time, effort, and cleaning products. You may choose to have a deep cleaning once or several times a year in addition to your standard cleaning services. You may have a one-time deep cleaning to prepare for company or to clean after a house party. Companies may charge an hourly rate or a price per square foot, or may offer you a flat rate after they have visited your home and estimated work time. The national average house cleaning price is $110-$150, with rates ranging higher for deep-cleaning services. Here are some examples of how a company may calculate their deep-cleaning prices:

    • 10 cents per square foot (compared with 5 cents per square foot for standard house cleaning).
    • $300 for a 3,000-square-foot home.
    • $25 per hour per worker for deep-cleaning services.

    How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.

How much does a move-out cleaning cost?

Moving is hard enough work even before you have to clean the empty home to perfection. Instead of scrubbing your tile grout with a toothbrush, hire a professional cleaning company to provide move-out cleaning services for you. For moving out of an apartment, cleaning prices can range from $110 to $150. When scheduling a move-out cleaning, talk with the pro and confirm all the key points they will clean to ensure you receive your deposit back.

Important areas to have cleaned include the fridge interior, the oven interior, bathroom tile, the shower and tub, all blinds, and sometimes the walls. Some cleaning companies do not quote a flat rate for a move-out cleaning, as the number of hours it may take to clean structurally identical apartments could vary greatly depending on how clean or dirty the inhabitants were. For example, move-out house cleaning prices may range from $150 to $180 for one- or two-bedroom apartments.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
