Very professional, great with kids and adults . Immediately put my rather shy 12 year old at ease. Clearly talented and his love of music is contagious. Beautiful studio! Looking forward to more lessons.
Very kind and pleasant person who is teaching my daughter ! Very happy.
My son took lessons from Tim three years ago. I think he was one of Tim's first students. He was seven at the time. Tim did a great job introducing guitar to him. My son still plays and a lot of the credit goes to Tim.

My two daughters attend the Glens Falls Music Academy. My oldest (11yo) has been a student there for over a year and her progress has been fantastic. My youngest (9yo) recently started taking clarinet lessons and I am very pleased that she enjoys her time with her instructor. Good people, good facility, money well spent.
Rob has been a pleasure to have teaching my daughter guitar lessons. He is very accomodating by coming to our home, he has a wonderful rapport with my daughter and is extremely knowledgeable in his field. We have also seen him performing is other venues and can tell he truly loves his work.
I have taught kids swim lessons before, and I am certified by Red Cross with a lifeguarding and water safety certificate, as well as CPR and First Aid training/ certificates. I have also given Piano and Voice lessons before and will be attending music school in the fall for opera studies to further broaden my studies in music. I am not just opera based, although that is the best thing for my voice. I also teach jazz, pop, and healthy musical singing! Singing should be something that is always fun, and freeing, so why not learn how to do it in the most comfortable, fun, and healthy way possible? As a teacher, I will recognize what my client would like to work on (whether it be a style of music, music history, music theory, or even basic piano lessons), while hopefully providing valid insight on how to really engage one's voice healthily. Voice lessons are very affordable (first 30 minute session free). Although I have given voice lessons at a regular rate before, I really would like the opportunity to meet new people and hopefully help them explore the amazing opportunities and fun times that go along with singing!
Joshua is accessible and has a calm, relaxed teaching style. He has expertise in modern Jazz harmony and technique, but I think he could teach any style. I highly recommend.

I would provide services in teaching beginners piano, beginner to intermediate clarinet lessons, and beginners vocal. I am also willing to tutor students in music at the elementary and secondary school level. This just means that if you don't know music and want to learn, no matter how young or old, I am willing to teach you. I have had numerous hours of volunteering teaching students in elementary and middle school music during the summer. I also taught music as an assistant music director for the Capital Repertory Theater's STAR Program (Summer Theater at the Rep) in which I taught vocal lessons along with the music director and transposed and distributed music. I had taught there for 2 years.
I teach beginners rock, popular, older classics, R/B, and basically what the student wants to learn. Most of my teaching and my own playing is done on an electric guitar, but I can use an acoustic, if requested. I am mostly self-taught, so I know how it feels to start from nothing, but I have played for over 40 years. I look at each student's abilities and desires and come up with the best way to teach them; not everybody can go by the book. I am extremely patient and easygoing and allow the student to learn at a pace in which they feel comfortable. I have a comfortable studio in Pittsfield, but am willing to travel for an hourly fee. If my travel distance has exceeded, we can still talk. I serve the Berkshires and beyond.
As a person, I'm trying to stretch this thing out to 100 characters. The whole business seems disingenuous. I'll help you learn some guitar.
I'm a local guitar instructor in the capital region, specializing in various forms of rock, blues, and jazz. I also teach group classes on various subjects such as music theory, guitar maintenance, and effects pedals. All ages are welcome! I teach at 2 different locations: * Rocky's Music Studio (North Greenbush) * Patrizio Center for the Arts (Latham) My teaching philosophy: I'm a big believer in fundamentals. I teach students how to read music, theory, ear training, technique, etc. Students will also learn how to play their favorite songs and play in the style(s) of music they find most interesting. Having a solid foundation in all of these areas will accomplish my personal goal of helping students develop the ability and skills to do whatever it is they would like to with music, whether that is just simply learning their favorite tunes for their own personal enjoyment, or they have great dreams of one day becoming a professional musician.

We recently purchased a used piano from a private seller for my school-age daughter, who has been taking piano lessons for a couple of years. We wanted to graduate from an electronic keyboard to a full-size piano with a limited budget. The piano was in dire need of a good tuning, and because I'm not an experienced pianist myself, I purchased a piano that had a few issues that Leslie thoroughly explained to us. She was very responsive from the initial request for quotes, affordable, punctual and professional in providing the service, thoroughly explained any issues we may encounter with the used piano (which was not tuned or taken care of well), and definitely loves music herself. I'm glad I went with Leslie, and I'll definitely be calling her again in the future! Thanks, Leslie!
