FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Regarding songwriting, fees vary depending on the nature of the project. The main items to be considered are the size of the ensemble and the length of the tune. For teaching, my fees are based on my years of experience as both a teacher and a performer. Please be sure to check my profile videos, as they show the range of work that I have done.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Regarding songwriting services, I work with pop, R&B, jazz, Latin American and rock styles. Pricing varies depending on the size of the ensemble and length of the tune. I offer both composition and arranging services. Regarding lessons, I tailor my work to fit the needs of each student. My teaching experience includes working with students ages 4 to 80, in a variety of instruments, in private schools, public universities, and across multiple styles of music.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a performer, I have played the saxophone and/or multiple other instruments (clarinet, flute, guitar, piano and percussion instruments) for a variety of ensembles, including the Villalobos Brothers and the Chilean National Symphony Orchestra. As a songwriter, composer and arranger, I have worked for a cast of international artists, including Ipshita Roy (India), Hardy Llorca and Edgardo Benedetti (Peru), Alameda Memoria and Sexto Piso (Chile), The Villalobos Brothers (Mexico-US) and Kristiana Roemer (Germany-US). As a piano, guitar, flute, drums and saxophone teacher, I have worked for Musipire Music School and Academy (NY), PY Rock Music (NJ), Music Box School (NY), and Nutley School of Music (NJ). I have also taught saxophone at the University of Chile and have been a teaching assistant of arranging at the University of North Texas.
