Rev. Francesca Fortunato officiated our (my husband and my) wedding on 28 May 2006. We were friends through an unrelated (musical) scene and knew her to be a warm, kind person, and having a friend marry us seemed to be a great idea. After we met formally to interview and plan, and exchanged thoughts and drafts of our ceremony and vows, we knew we had made the right choice. We combined traditions from Judaism (my husband) and Japanese/Shinto (mine), and while Rev. Francesca later admitted it was the longest and most complicated ceremony she had officiated, she helped make it all happen with her thoughtfulness, knowledge and expertise. Thanks to how the three of us were able to work together smoothly, we were able to have a wedding ceremony which was meaningful to both families.

Wedding Officiant

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Weddings, baby blessings and memorial services.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Read the officiant's self-description carefully to determine whether or not this officiant might be likely to meet your needs. If you decide to interview the officiant, be very clear at the outset about your wedding (or other ceremony) style, number of guests and other participants, religious or spiritual traditions and anything else that's important to you. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have (there are no "stupid" questions.) The more information you share (and request) at the outset, the better the job your officiant can do for you!
