Patrick Michael Wickam is the Bill Nye of singing lessons. With him, you cant help but become better. In short, with performers career center, greatness is inevitable.
Dom is a funny, kind and inspiring teacher. He has pushed and encouraged me in a way that has greatly improved my focus and skills. Dom creates a pleasant atmosphere and I very much enjoy taking lessons with him.
Raul is FANTASTIC! He is very much interested in catering to your specific learning style and keying into what you want to get out of the lessons. He loves questions and is full of patience and a great sense of humor. I highly recommend Raul!
I've always sung and I took lessons with top rated voice 'teachers', but they really weren't teachers; they were really coaches and stylists. Rae de la Cretaz is a true pedagogue. She is a teacher of rare abilities...a vocal genie if you're lucky enough to find her. Unlike, coaches, she will custom build your voice from the ground up. I thought I knew the basics, but I soon discovered after uttering one note in front of her, that I knew nothing. Here I had been focused on style, placement, phrasing...only to discover that I really had never even mastered how to really breathe, and that so much of singing is breath work. How so much of great singing is 'getting out of the way' of your natural voice. (Easier said than done). I also never realized how mentally challenging it is to learn to sing correctly. So, here's the deal. If you have a voice, you need to treasure it, and make sure you use it properly so it stays healthy all through your life. Rae will give you that. When you sing, she has her eyes closed, and can tell you exactly what you did in your body that hampered that perfect note. She knows where you were holding tension in your body, and she'll be right every time. Unlike many people who call themselves teachers, she doesn't just let you sing all the way through. She will stop you over and over and correct you until you're producing the right sound. She's tough, precise, and amazingly perceptive. You need to surrender your ego at the door, know that she is committed to your being the best you can be, and allow her to do her magic. Soon, you will be able to identify what you're doing wrong, and fix it yourself. But you must surrender to her teaching technique and have patience and faith. For that, you will be rewarded with a healthy rich voice that responds to your mind like a Porsche grips the road on a hairpin turn. If all you want to do is be told how great you are and sing songs through your whole session, Rae isn't for you. If you're passionate about being the best singer you can be, and you want vocal mastery, and you're eager to learn a powerful technique, then Rae is for you. Her teaching is universal, and you will be amazed how quickly you improve regardless of your repertoire. Classical, pop, rock, Broadway....it doesn't matter. Her methods are genre agnostic....Watch your range increase, watch how your notes float out of you as if they have a life of their own, watch how your resonance comes alive, learn to feel when it's right instead of listening for it. You will identify yourself as a 'singer' with confidence in the consistency, reliability, and health of your voice. Call her. She's also a very nice person, and easy to talk to. She's won't lavish you with gratuitous praise, but she gets very excited when you get something right. And you'll know it. One caveat: it took me two or three lessons to learn how gifted a teacher she is. That's because it took me a few lessons to surrender my ego at the door.
Gloria has been very helpful in increasing my son's proficiency in Spanish. She is very dedicated, reliable, and organized with lessons. She prepares for each lesson to make it most productive.
Certainly a pleasant experience. David understands what i'm looking to get out of my lessons and gives me the tools to do so and more.
Serge is an extremely skilled top notch coach and amazing instructor that genuinely cares about his students. His training sessions are very challenging and rewarding. My strength and endurance levels have greatly improved in such a short time since training with Serge. He has patience and will take the time to go over moves as many times as you need, in a supportive and encouraging way. You will sweat, train hard and learn a lot from each lesson. My training sessions were by far the BEST that I've ever experienced. What marks a phenomenal instructor is his ability to teach in a particular way that impacts every aspect of a students life, and that is what Serge has done for me and I'm truly thankful. Overall, I would highly recommend Serge to all without any hesitation. Josette-
I had the pleasure of taking voice lessons from Barbara. She is super helpful, patient, positive and very encouraging. I will 100% recommend her.
Looking forward to starting lessons.
Two of my sons took lessons from Chris when they were younger. He has a great sense of humor and has the skill to be able to make learning fun! That is what keeps the kids interested and they are still playing to this day! He teaches them proper technique. The kids were able to learn songs that they were interested in learning and liked to listen to on the radio. Chris was great at helping them build on the skills that he teaches them and that they learn. Working with him was a fantastic experience and they still talk about their time working with him!
I took lessons from Jimi for string bass and later for guitar. Through his lessons, I learned how to do more than just read notes on a page. I learned the other important skills of improvising and jamming with others. If I ever had a problem, Jimi would notice and help me work through it. I'm now able to jam out to jazz music on bass and guitar, and it's all thanks to Jimi.
Francis has been amazing with my 12 year old son. He has taken lessons over the years here and there but nobody has inspired him the way Francis has.. he would complain about practicing abc would never do it without a major struggle. Now, it is not uncommon that my so. Will play the piano for hours after Francis leaves.. what a wonderful blessing!! I would highly recommend Francis!
I took voice lessons with Dave for about 7 years. he's a great teacher : knowledgeable, patient, knows how to encourage students and make learning fun ... also good at explaining ... I feel I learned a lot from him and had fun always
Humberto is very polite, prompt and personable. I've only had 2 lessons so far, but I think he's a very good teacher.
Viky is very friendly and a great teacher for both piano and singing. I highly recommend her.
Katryna really knows her stuff. She really focuses on your fundamentals and teaches many valuable techniques to make you a well-rounded singer. What I love most about her is that she is equally fun and tough, and not tough in a bad way at all; she just makes extra sure that you are working your hardest and helps you really understand how to sing at your fullest potential. She sings so many different genres, so her knowledge is broad and her teaching is diverse. I highly recommend you see her if you are serious about becoming a singer. You really gain a lot of insight about being an artist from her.
Taking lessons with Sara is a great experience. I'm very happy with my progress and I plan to continue lessons with her for many years.
Piano lessons, just two lessons occurred so far, but so far, so good.
I have been taking Piano lessons with Robert for the past month and a half. I started as a complete beginner and I've really enjoyed my lessons. Robert is an excellent teacher who provides a structured method to learning while also keeping you motivated throughout. I'm already able to play a few songs and I'm looking forward to getting better!
WHAT A TERRIFIC TEACHER. Sometimes, educators who have been teaching for a while forget what it's like to be the "learner" and can in turn be condescending, impatient, and unwilling to simplify difficult concepts for their students. JOE, on the other hand, was PROFESSIONAL, PATIENT, and PLEASANT. When explaining certain musical concepts to me, he explained it in my language. He encouraged me to ask as many questions as i could come up with; no question was off limits. He tailored the music lesson to my skill set, and even provided study material for me to work with in between our one-on-one lessons. I am excited again about playing piano and learning how to read music!!!!
Kyle is as good as it gets! He's polite, professional, knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator. I highly recommend taking lessons with Kyle!
