Afonso replaced the roof on our shed. He completed the job in half a day and his work is quality. He was very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Afonso roofing!
St Paul's Indian Orthodox Church used Anthony Berrios for two jobs. First job started as a potential toilet installation but turned into installing few shelves, spot light, adjusting a podium etc. The second job was completion of painting. Mr Berrios is very professional and does excellent work. He prides himself on the end result and meticulously works on even minor details. He is prompt and leaves a clean work space. Anthony really helped out in the second job. We had initially selected another contractor to paint the basement of the church. That contractor however left the job undone. I reached out to Anthony who accepted the job and completed the work. We also appreciated that Anthony doesn't consider any job to be too small. Anthony is going to be first contractor we call for our next job.
Alby's Masonry was able to rebuild my chimney quickly and did a fanastic job. They were able to squeeze the job in a very timely manner and ensured the job was done quickly and professionally. I would definitely use Alby's again and I highly recommend them for your masonry and roofing needs.
The work Brian did in removing concrete and installing a new sidewalk was exemplary. He is a conscientous and professional individual.
after looking at my roof, I was given an estimate. the estimate was very fair. Because of the leaking problems I had Royal said I may need plywood replaced on my roof but wouldn't know until he had the singles off. I told him the roof was all I could afford. Royal said lets see what we have and if I needed plywood he would help me as best he could to keep the price down. Needing some plywood, Royal worked with me and only charged me a couple hundred dollars over the estimate. the jobsite was cleaned quickly and when they left everything was cleaned up and back to the way it was. Thank you Royal.
John quickly responded and did a great job installing doors in a wonky old house. We are very happy with the results.
Very happy with the workmanship. Installation went very well with no problems.
Did all work asked. Additions beyond the base roof install at fair market price. Fairly and promptly resolved all issues that arose during project. Quality of project justified somewhat premium pricing.
Hank is punctual, efficient and did an excellent job installing siding, cleaning our gutters and installing gutter guards. He also pained our 15 year old cupola and it looks new. His work was neat and we would not hesitate hiring and recommending him. His price was also reasonable.
Tom Robinson and his team did an amazing job on our roof. Our home was built in the 1850's and there were 5 layers of old roofing in some areas, so it was a bit more challenging than your typical residential roof. Tom provided the most reasonable quote and took care of disposal - there was a lot of old material to dispose of! HR Roofing uses Timberline HD roofing shingles and had more color options than the other roofing companies that I met with - we also looked through a number of metal roofing options. Tom redid our fascia (a last minute request) and was very detail orientated. Louise was very organized and did a great job with customer service. She also helped put us in touch with businesses for other home improvement projects. I highly recommend HR Roofing and am very pleased with the results.
Russell is really good to us. He takes care of our yard maintenance in the summer (lawn cutting) and plowing in the winter. He has also built us a new out door fireplace and a bluestone patio that is fabulous! And a new roof over our studio building. Just finished renovating our downstairs bedroom and bathroom also. Tara is always on it.
Kevin structurally fixed the framing in my 1925 farmhouse, reinsulated it (it had tarpaper insulation), raised the ceilings upstairs (his idea since there was only a small crawlspace there), re-roofed part of my house and several outbuildings, installed several vintage windows, rebuilt my interior stairs, structurally improved my basement, built several cedar closets, and improved my bathroom layout. He completed everything from demolition to framing to insulation and drywall/taping to painting. He also built a 4th stall in my horse barn in an atypical space. Kevin worked on my house/barn/outbuildings/roofs periodically over two years and improved/built/fixed everything wonderfully, from small details to new roofs to large framing corrections from what the original builders had done in 1925. He worked closely with me in the decision-making process, often providing me with ideas and improvements that had not occurred to me that resulted in a beautiful and functional living space far exceeding my expectations. Kevin was very cost-effective in his material choices often re-using original 1925 materials that produced a period effect that also happened to be gorgeous. He was more than fair in his pricing, and I liked how he had me control the purchase/payment of materials directly so that I managed material costs and could transparently see what I was paying for without worrying about hidden costs or mark-ups. I have worked with several carpenters over time, and Kevin was far superior to any of them in his knowledge, experience, ideas and overall professionalism. He kept the job site very clean as I continued to live in my home while work went on, and he always made it as easy and comfortable as possible given the large scale of some remodel phases. Kevin has many sourcing resources - for example, I found a pair of vintage windows that were also energy efficient in a small store I hadn't heard of that really brought my dining room together. Kevin built a horse stall in my barn in the side section with a low, slanted roof. He made several adjustments to the ceiling before closing it in so that my horse had more head room. He had to create a 4th wall that was strong enough to stand up to a horses antics, which he partially did by creating a pocket door to add reinforcement. He was well versed with the safety requirements of horses, and my horse loves her new home. You can see several pictures of the stall on his website, hitthepin.com Kevin built several windows in the barn both for ventilation and so that my horses could see out, and he also fixed interior and exterior barn doors that were in need of facelifts to make them safe again. Kevin replaced the flat section of roof on my house (from an addition), thereby also fixing a leak around my chimney that four other roofing specialists had failed to correct. No more leak now! He also performed work on several of my farm outbuildings, from roofs, to gutters, to seating on an elevated deck. In summary, I found Kevin to be the ultimate professional and an innovative craftsman. His creativity and artistry add another dimension to his carpentry skills, which is a true benefit for his customers. I recommend Kevin and Hit the Pin to anyone who seeks a multi-faceted, talented artisan who works very hard, efficiently, courteously and cost-effectively.
Chris and his crew are fantastic workers. They transformed an old barn with new siding on one side and metal roofing after they rebuilt one of the gables. Chris installed a weathervane that I purchased last minute on a whim. After seeing their work on the barn, we asked Chris to add some missing flashing around our garage. He and his crew were meticulous! They worked in the extreme heat and showed up as soon as the rain stopped one morning to keep the job on schedule. Awesome experience for a fair price.
William inspected and explained to me all the reasons I was having trouble with my wood stove and chimney. He worked with me and my budget, and did an excellent job. He is very knowledgeable and conscientious. I will be using him whenever I need my chimney cleaned and he's now working on other masonry jobs for me.
I didn't know where to turn to repair a roof problem resulting in water literally pouring into our home during a storm. A friend recommended McMahon and we couldn't be more grateful. Unfortunately we had multiple roofing and plumbing emergencies within a few weeks and Tom came through 100% in each case with immediate responses and impeccable repairs. Tom even responded on a Saturday night and arrived with two associates early Sunday morning to address the problem. We will use McMahon in the future for our home repairs.
Tom has done many jobs at our home in Carmel, NY, installed a two layer deck , installed 4 sliding galss doors which opened out to the new deck, riped up old style slate floors in the kitchen and installed new ones, repaired the ceiling in our living room(house was built in 55 so its this ole house,LOL) and has always done a fime job. After all this work which was done since we moved in July of 2013 plus when we moved that day he also installed a wood fence around a large part of the back yard which he started the day we moved and finished within 2 days(210' of fence) so our 4 dogs would have a play/poop area. He works with you and comes up with some very good idea's on the jobs as well and his prices are fair, I would recomend Tom for any home remodeling /improvements. He will be doing our master bath floor soon as well.
We hired Top Hammer for the following two major projects: 1. Kitchen renovation last winter (2015/2016) with updated floor plan, custom cabinets, new wood floors, expanded island, granite counter tops, stone back splash, installation of new appliances, spray foam insulation, plumbing, electrical work and lighting. As part of this project we also relocated our washer and drier from the mud room adjacent to the kitchen to an upstairs utility closet. The mud room was tiled and a small sink added. 2. Renovation of our unfinished basement this past summer (2016) which gave us a wide open floor plan that included an area for a home gym as well as space for a home entertainment center, air hockey and ping pong table. In addition, a storage room was built around the air handler equipment so that it is now out of the way. The most ambitious aspect of this project was a small two-level addition to house with new roof, windows, door, siding, and spray foam insulation. The addition included a full bathroom on the upper level, additional storage for our oil tanks on the lower level and a new entry from the backyard with stairs down to basement. This project also entailed an HVAC upgrade throughout the basement, insulation, electrical, lighting and plumbing. We couldn't be happier with the results. The work flow in the kitchen is so much better than before and the cabinetry is amazing. And no more squeaky floors! The reaction from our guests has consistently been "WOW!" In addition, the mud room is now a perfect entry way into the house and having the washer and dryer upstairs is a definite plus. One thing that made Mike stand out compared to other contractors we have worked with in the past is his thoughtfulness. Having a kitchen reno can be one of the most disruptive and stressful projects undertaken. However, Mike minimized the impact by creating a temporary kitchen for us to use during construction. We can't thank him enough for this. The basement also turned out great. We have much needed storage and so much more space to have fun. Can't wait to start entertaining family and friends! The bathroom design is terrific and the tile work is outstanding. And having the new entry way from the back yard with easy access to the bathroom will be so convenient for our pool guests. One of the most satisfying results of the project is how seamless the new addition looks. Our friends have commented that the addition looks like it was always part of the house. Can't ask for a better compliment than that. Aside from the outstanding results, Mike is a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable and hires hard-working qualified sub-contractors. He's also not afraid to step in and roll up his sleeves if necessary to help get the job done. Most importantly, he is always reachable and responds immediately if an issue arises.
I would (and have) recommend Dupree Carpentry to anyone. Rich does wonderful work. He has installed new windows and doors in our home in the past. Did a great job. He is a honest man who works hard.
Replacing ceiling tiles around the entire store. Great work. He is clean and communicate very well . You know exactly what he is doing and what's is happening.
During a torrential downpour, Mother Nature decided to have a tree fall on my house at 3:00am. Thankfully Cave's carpentry came to my rescue within the hour and installed tarps my roof which prevented further damage. The next day, Jim and his team repaired my roof and siding and I felt like the bad event never happened. I must also add he had me laughing minutes after he showed up and helped me realize I should be happy no one was hurt and the damage could be repaired. He has my seal of approval and will be doing some remodeling at my parents house in the near future.
