With less than 2 weeks until the wedding and no dress, she helped me remain calm and assured me that she could fix it, or help me find a new dress. Mizdi was awesome in organizing and decorating for my the video premiere of my single “Burn Easy” at Le Poisson Rouge last Summer. It was an “Island” themed event in which everything was perfectly detailed from the table fixtures to the specialty cocktail named “The Burn Easy”. The party was a success and I was extremely happy with her work! I highly recommend MIZDI!!!
I started out on the wedding planning process on my own. Towards the end, I started getting so confused and had no idea what was appropriate, what went well together, and how to make decisions. I reached out to Thumbtack for a wedding planner and what a blessing that has been! I immediately clicked with Laura by phone and when we met for coffee, I knew she was the guidance and help I needed. She picked right up and jumped in, learning about us, my personal style, and was a lifesaver. She was available throughout the process for any questions, big or small. She and Kelly are both professional and they know how to get the job done. When meeting with vendors or at the Rehearsal, they would look at my face and know immediately what I preferred. The wedding day went so smoothly. It was all actually a blur of activity going on around me, but I was so calm and relaxed the whole day and I owe it to the trust I placed in Elegant Events by Laura. She coordinated with the photographer for pictures so it went so quickly that we had time to relax and spare before the ceremony and before the reception. She made sure that we ate at the reception and that we had everything we needed. The bridesmaids and I started calling them the planning ninjas. They were everywhere all at once. For example, two of my bridesmaids started walking with me to the bathroom and we turned around and Laura was right there! haha! Elegant Events was worth every penny and my only advice to couples planning a wedding is to hire a planner and if you want the best, work with Laura and Kelly! My only regret is that I didn't reach out to have her plan from scratch! A million stars for them.
For my sister's (Rose)wedding I had the opportunity to work with Marianna from Elusions event planning. Marianna provided quality service from the moment she was contracted. She was available to work with the bridal party during rehearsal and the day of the wedding. She went above and beyond to make sure that the bride was calm. Lauren and Justine made not only the day of the wedding run without any faults, but also the weeks leading up to it. From the first planning meeting with Lauren, it was evident to me that the wedding was in superbly capable hands. She took over communication with the vendors and confirmed every single moving part of the wedding to create a master schedule, and then check in every step of the way to be sure that everyone was aware of the scheduling and to get live updates on the status of the schedule. Her organization made it simple for us to understand what tasks we had left to do and clearly showed a plan to execute all outstanding items. I wasn't worried about forgetting any details because I knew Lauren had them all handled and would also check all of them with us while adding her experienced suggestions. On the day of the wedding, Lauren and Justine went beyond my imagination in how proactive, cheerful, helpful, and all around amazing they were. Lauren cued each parent and bridesmaid when to walk down the aisle in the ceremony. Justine communicated with our reception venue and helped set it up while the ceremony was ongoing. At the end of the night, Justine was able to pack up all items and make sure everything we needed to return to us got back to us that evening safely. There was no stress in either getting what we needed to the venue or taking everything back home. Due to Lauren's organization with her pack lists prior to the wedding and Justine's meticulousness, there was nothing in question for us. Hiring Lauren was our best wedding decision - we can't have imagined our day running so seamlessly without her and her team. Any prospective couples out there should get their dates on Lauren's calendar and rest assured that their day will run perfectly. We had the most magical day, and not once were we concerned about any planning details. Our vendors, bridal party, and guests noted how organized and smooth the event ran, all thanks to YWbL!
Ani is AMAZING!!! This woman is someone that i will cherish for the rest of my life and will definitely refer anyone to. I decided to that i needed some help with my special day last minute and choose Ani, and i had no regrets. She is professional, very punctual and most importantly she is an advocate. She took my thoughts and ideas and made them come to a reality. Such a sweet spirited person. She is very serious when it comes to timing, and will make sure you and your vendors are on time for everything. She even attended my bridal rehearsal and come in early the day of the wedding to make sure things were on track. Lacy and her team were fantastic. She was able to bring my vision to life. When I walked into the venue the decor took my breath away it was so beautiful. Everyone at the bridal shower commented about the decor. It was perfect. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and am looking forward to working with them again.
Celeste was a joy to work with. She took care of all the small details on the day of my wedding and made sure I could enjoy it fully. Whenever something was forgotten, or we needed someone to communicate between the bridal party and groomsmen (making sure the groom didn't see the bride!) I was looking for gifts for my bridal party and sought the help of someone who had experience with creating unique items. I reached out to 2 Less Fish Events & Favors after learning they created the hair ties I wanted for my bachelorette weekend. After sending a photo of something I liked, Kristen immediately got back to me with design and color choices. She mentioned that her custom hair tie sets came with 3 per card, but when I received my package, she had added an extra to each card which was very unexpected and made my day.
Leora has done the decorating for a few of my family events. She did a wonderful job with my wife bridal shower , my sister outrageous 25th birthday lol. Leora is great and I guarantee after you have worked with her you will feel the same.
I asked Cristal to throw a Quince for my cousin. She's a big Havanna Nights fan but also a glam queen so I need it to be like Cuban Hollywood. And that's what it was! Even with a run in with decor, I thought she wasn't going to be to pull it off but Cristal knows how to make magic happen. She ended up meshing the venues props from two other themed parties and spending minimal on miscellaneous things to pull it all together. From dresses, tux, choreography & menu items she pulled it off! With communication and always consulting with me before any major decisions- the party was a hit and my cousin [came in on a floral swing!!] with the biggest smile on her face. Couldn't have been happier with the job Cristal did.
I tried planning a carnival theme birthday party for my three year old son myself I was way overwhelmed with the details that needed to go into it. Also I was working under a time crunch; so I was super stressed! We had a phone consultation after detailed email consults; she then came to the venue twice to get her measurements and I was instantly worry free after seeing how organized she was. I was instantly relieved; my only worry was having too much fun that day!
Words cannot express the fabulous job you did catering and serving at my daughter's bridal shower. The guests raved about your food. It was different, delicious- and so creatively served. My personal favorites were the skewered peanut chicken- so beautifully displayed in the pineapple and the sliders. I also know that the brie with the fig jam was also a hit- the Orzo salad, crab cakes, I could go on and on with the favorites. Your thoughfulness and special touches were not missed: the pretty orchids, the candles in the artichokes, the way you displayed the food. We were all so impressed. After you left, we went in to the Church kitchen and you would have never known that you, Grace and your assistant were in there hours earlier cooking and assembling appetizers for a party of 46. We're still enjoying the leftovers- thanks for packing and labeling them. Is there anything you didn't think of?!!! I hope our paths will cross again! Thank you so much to Marchella Bridal for planning and organizing an unforgettable wedding for us, that was absolutely far beyond our expectations! I realized that being a wedding planner is not just about getting a venue booked and guests fed as there are so many other things and tiny details to think about that do make a huge difference in this special occasion. Gilda has got what it takes to come up with lots of new ideas and her creativity and attention to details is amazing and impressive. Gilda helped us through the whole process from start to end and she was always on top of things. It is so important to know that you are in good hands and your wedding planner has everything under control, as this could be quite overwhelming and nerve wrecking time. Gilda helped us pick the venue, worked out all the contract logistics, helped us pick the invitations, place cards, thank you cards, put together and printed the program and menu, helped us pick the music and songs, connected us with vendors for flower arrangements, photography, video, hair, makeup and did so much more. There is no way I could have done this on my own. Gilda was at the venue from early morning on the wedding day to decorate the place inside and out. She was there for me not only helping with the dress/hair/shoes, but also emotionally to keep me calm and happy. Gilda made the whole experience very pleasant and it was so much fun! My wedding day ran so smoothly, everything was on schedule, and it was absolutely perfect! Thanks to Gilda, my husband and I were able to fully enjoy our wedding day without a worry in the world!
