I love what I do. I have trained with the best at the Ono Beauty School by Priscilla Ono and continue my education by attending, trade shows such as IMATs, The Makeup Show. In addition to paying for classes to keep ahead of the trend such as the Masterclass by Mario Dedivanovic. Makeup soothes me. I can spend hours meditating on new palettes and lipsticks. Connecting with a client over a gloss they would have never tried before. Seeing someone who has never worn makeup gasp and stare at their reflection while taking a million selfies. There is always something to look forward to when working with makeup.(show more)

My service. I'm all about service. You get what you pay for. If I'm not confident in a job I will not take a job. I want my client to leave my station happy and confident and deliver the exact look as requested. You spray tan is never orange, streak free and fades evenly. Encouraging and letting the client know I'm not just here to service you but I'm here to most importantly listen. I love when the client and I connect, interacting. It's like working with a girlfriend who wants makeup advice, feels confertable, relaxed, and has confidence in me. That's how I know I'm doing my job.(show more)
Because I incorporate different techniques for each client. there is no one size fits all with me. I tailor each application, complete with skincare and makeup especially for that client and listen to their needs and preferences. I am constantly working on a variety of faces and building and developing my craft. I love doing makeup! but i also love a great client/artist interaction.i love educating people about tips, tricks, and techniques. I also love it when i see that look on the clients face when I'm finished that says "wow! I look great!" it changes their whole attitude :)(show more)

I am a hair educator based in Brooklyn, NY. My career began by earning a full tuition scholarship to the Aveda Institute in New York City. I apprenticed in haircutting at Vidal Sassoon and under Cristiano Cora. For the past three years, I have worked as an educator at Arrojo, teaching Arrojo Boot Camp as well as teaching in their cosmetology school. I'm versed in scissor and razor cutting, color, styling, and texture services. I hold my New York State's teacher's license allowing me to tailor instruction for all types of learners. More importantly, I'm very passionate about teaching hair. There is nothing more satisfying than helping a struggling student realize their full potential. I focus on form, technique, and dynamic communication through analogies, drawings, demonstrations, practical exercises, and written literature. I build confident and able students who are successful and move on to top salons, editorial, and fashion work.(show more)

I love making women feel beautiful, confident, and empowered. It brings me such joy to witness my clients "Aha!" moment! What is it? A makeup lesson is a great way to learn how to do basic every day makeup that looks natural and appropriate. It is also a wonderful opportunity to examine your daily routine and discover new ways to apply your favorite products and explore additional products to update your look. Why do people need them? Maybe you are new to wearing makeup, and it feels too intimidating. Maybe you don't always have the time and money to hire a professional makeup artist when you have a special event to attend. There are a lot of women out there with drawers full of makeup that they never end up using, or quite frankly, don't even know how. We end up using the same techniques that were learned years ago because they worked back then. With changing styles, shifting trends (highlighting and contouring), new innovative products, and ever-changing faces, our makeup should evolve as well! What will you learn with me? My goal is to break it down for you, make it fun and easy to personalize your look. The trends that seem so foreign and confusing you will soon be mastering! You will learn how to do the following: * Apply makeup to fit your individual facial features and lifestyle * Bring out your features and correct flaws * Take what products you have and find different ways to use them * Find the right colors that work best on you * Easily go from daytime to nighttime makeup * Differentiate brushes and how to properly use them * Most importantly, recreate it on your own with your personalized makeup guide! Makeup is magic. It can transform how you feel -- whether it's a job interview, wedding, special event, romantic date night, or if you just want to get out of the same, old beauty routine and switch things up! Makeup is instant gratification, and looking your best creates immediate confidence providing you with the courage, inside and out, to take on the world! I have always had a passion for makeup and wanting people to look and feel their very best, no matter what amount of time you have to work with. Makeup should be fun and not intimidating which is why I get so much joy out of breaking down the tricks of the trade and making it approachable as well as exciting! Working with women of all ages, ethnicities, and individual style preferences on a daily basis, I pride myself on the ability to get the look that my clients ask for, meeting their requests and not stopping until they are satisfied. The best part of my job is making people feel and look as beautiful as they possibly can!(show more)
What do you love about your job?
I am a makeup artist. I work with my clients to create the most beautiful masterpieces of themselves. I love the collaborating process. When creating my clients' looks, it should not be one sided. I want my clients to love their look, and I want to grow as an artist. The end result is always the greatest feeling, watching their reaction and seeing how many selfies they take before leaving.
What or who inspired you to start your own business?
My grandmother, Lydia, inspired me to start my own business and follow my heart. She was the one who raised me. She came from a very abusive and poor beginnings and wanted better for her children and grandchildren. When I confided in her that I wanted to be a makeup artist, but I felt I was too old to change careers, she looked at me and told me to follow my dreams. It is never too late. I have not looked back since.
