I have been taking jazz guitar lessons from Dom for almost a year and a half now. His particular approach to teaching music is very refreshing from all others I've encountered before. Dom has a certain way of finding a student's particular sound on their instrument and personalizing each lesson to better bring out this sound. My experience so far has been completely positive and I look forward to more lessons.
Phenomenal musician, great teacher, cool cat - I rate David First INFINITY STARS. I've studied music here and there, but it wasn't until I started taking bass lessons with David a few years ago that it all came together for me. He explains music theory in a way I can understand and translate to actual practice that is not a chore, it is fun and addictive! Besides developing technical skill, Dave also helped me grow as a musician by getting over feeling awkward jamming with other people. I eventually felt comfortable enough to audition for bands and ended up in a fun one, playing out in the city even! David was there for my first gig, too. My husband was so impressed with my progress, he started guitar lessons last year and has come so far, it is amazing. We feel like Grasshoppers to David's Master Po. He is the best, ok I'll stop now, you get it.
I started taking guitar lessons from Sandi Mascola when I was entering my freshman year of high school in 2004. I had zero musical experience beforehand but was interested, and she was one my best friend's aunts and I had heard great things. I fell in love with music, her teaching style, and the way I would leave each lesson learning something new. I ended up taking lessons for about 4 years, and I can honestly say Sandi taught me everything I knew about guitar, as well as life lessons along the way. I haven't taken a lesson since 2008, and still to this day refer to her as my aunt. She was an amazing mentor and role model and helped me grow as a guitar player and person. I don't have a bad word to say about her teaching style, and can truthfully say that it was the best money I've ever spent!
Michelle is great with kids. Our 7-year old daughter loves her piano lessons and always looks forward to them. More important, we can hear that she is really learning and making great progress. Two of her school friends have started lessons with Michelle after we recommended her.
Guitar lessons can be boring, but not with Steve. Steve's guitar playing its Eddie Van Halen's level and best of all is that he is very humble and a funny teacher. He will take his time to explain you note by note on the entire fretboard. I always have fun learning new scales, arpeggios, triads etc. with Steve. You will actually get exited every time a guitar lesson with him is coming up. A guitar instructor that actually knows how to play pretty much anything on guitar, but if you are into Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Jazz and Jazz Fusion, you should definitely take guitar lessons with Steve. - Winston Beast Master (Khiazma band)
I can't say enough fantastic things about Christopher. He taught my daughter in home guitar lessons. He is professional, responsible, easy to work with and a genius on guitar. He taught my daughter so much and she plays beautifully. I would recommend him to anyone!
I briefly took guitar lessons from Josh. I wanted to learn to play with other musicians and improvise, and his jazz background is what caught my attention. The sessions were informative and Josh was very encouraging. I had to stop unexpectedly but what I learned in the few lessons I took was very helpful and got me out of the rut I fall into while practicing on my own.
I've been taking lessons from Jimi on guitar and bass for years. Excellent teacher.
Sean was a great piano and guitar teacher for my twin girls age seven. He had the perfect balance between patience and direction.
Josh is clearly very skilled with a guitar and has taught many students before. He will tailor the lessons towards what you would most want to learn, and in that sense he is very flexible. He is extremely friendly and punctual. Even in my first lesson he was able to help my technical ability improve dramatically, and I'm much more confident of being able to pick up new songs quickly. I look forward every week to the lessons.
Barb's Continuo Home Music Lessons provided home lessons to my son. Not only was the instructor very talented, but they knew exactly how to interact with a young person to keep his interest throughout the lesson and encouraged practicing beyond the lesson. Barb is always prompt and goes out of her way to accomodate scheduling issues.
They have a lot of experience teaching guitar lessons to people with all levels of musical ability. I really enjoyed working with them.
Stelios is the man! So let's start there. I have been taking guitar lessons with him for nearly two years now. He is patient with me and has helped take me from no knowledge of the guitar whatsoever, to now playing some of my favorite songs with ease. Watching him play guitar is also truly inspiring, and gives me something to strive for as a student. He is hands down the nicest guy ever, with a big warm smile that makes you feel at ease while you are learning. I have also taken lessons with him on the bass guitar, and electric guitar. He truly has in depth knowledge and talent across the board in many different genres and instruments. Hell, he even taught me some cool licks on the drum kit with all kinds of weird jazz / African beat time signatures. I also love going to watch him perform live!
I take piano lessons from Michael. He is a great teacher, particularly because he customizes his lessons to suit the students' skill levels and musical goals. He prepares material ahead of class and has a nice structured approach that I find helpful in developing a good feel for the piano. It's great that he focuses on important technicals like tempo, playing technique and theory, and his lessons are well-rounded, with just the right amount of time spent on each aspect. I like that he is flexible with both scheduling and the curriculum, and willing to tailor material to what I am interested in. He also helped me pick out an excellent piano within my budget, which was very helpful. Overall, a great experience, and definitely recommended!
His teaching is excellent , everything is broken down to my understanding and he is a friendly person. Literally love playing the guitar, Kevin is very comical and I enjoy the guitar lessons!
Dan was so flexible in arranging a "birthday gift" of guitar lessons for our daughter. Though the schedules haven't worked out yet for the lessons, my daughter is really looking forward to such. Friendly, and approachable man. A pleasure to deal with!
im in high school and i wanted to get better at jazz saxophone and improvisation and even though peter plays guitar and piano he taught me so much theory and technique for soloing and it changed my playin! he showed me so many classic albums to study and he is such an inspiring dude to hang with learn form peter!!!
Chris is hands down the best guitar teacher I have ever had (I have had six guitar teachers since I started playing 30 years ago). He has taken me further in two months than other instructors did in two years. In every lesson, Chris is constantly assessing where I am in my guitar journey, and plotting a course to get me to the next level. He listens to my every questions and gives succinct answers. His lessons leave me feeling inspired to practice and to just enjoy playing again. For anyone stuck in a pentatonic rut, or just needing inspiration, run, don't walk, to get a few lessons with Chris!
Brian Duggan has been teaching my son guitar for over 4 years. He is a talented guitar player and teacher. Brian is patient and passionate about music. He is able to grade his teaching to the needs of any type of student. He is consistently on time for lessons and has included my son in gigs to help him continue to develop his skills.
My son and daughter have been taking lessons at the Piano Workshop of Chester with Sonia for the past few years and they continue to make great progress!
I had been writing songs on the guitar for a year and a half when I started lessons with Natalia. Meeting weekly on Skype/Zoom she had me writing more and better stuff while also working on guitar technique. After working four months with her I had one of my songs win a song writing contest here in Seattle which led to a CD and paid concert gig! I couldn't have imagined I'd be writing at this level so quickly but working with a professional like Natalia can really accelerate your learning. I'm sure I'll be taking lessons from her years from now
