Rich is a phenomenal guitar teacher. Our 12 year old son has learned so much from him since he started lessons. He caters to the musical genre interest of the student which makes it exciting for my son to learn songs that he actually knows. Rich is extremely responsive, patient, and just so easy to get along with. We highly recommend his services!

Details: 10 - 13 years old • 0 - 2 yrs of formal training • Yes, can read guitar tabs • Electric • Rock • Yes, the student has an instrument • 30 minutes • My home, venue, etc.

Thank you Melissa! Your son is a joy to teach and he is very motivated. He wants to learn the RIGHT way, not the EASY way. He's a "W"!

Rich isn't just an awesome teacher, he's an incredible person too. Seriously, I owe so much of my musical journey to him. His guitar knowledge? Mind-blowing! He doesn't just cover the basics he dives into the history and craftsmanship, making every lesson fascinating. And get this he didn't just teach me…he actually built my guitar, pouring his heart and soul into it. Rich's passion for what he does is contagious, and his patience and encouragement? They've pushed me farther than I ever thought possible. Learning from him? Pure joy. If you're looking for more than just guitar lessons, but a true connection to the music, Rich is your guy. Trust me, you won't regret it! Enjoy!!

Rich is not only a fantastic guitar player but an upbeat and positive teacher with an endless sense of humor. It was obvious from my first lesson that Rich actually CARED that I learned how to play, and play “properly”. He has a thorough understanding of music theory, making him one of those guys that not only knows HOW to play, but WHY. I came away from every lesson feeling that I had learned not only specific things, but also armed with the musical knowledge to figure out things on my own as well. Rich would absolutely be my first recommendation to anyone who wants to learn how to play.

Rich was my guitar teacher for several years, during which he showed great skill, technique, patience, and sense of humor. I would tell Rich what I was interested in learning and we would break down the steps of achieving my goals together. Rather that being slowing down a song and listening to each note, coming up with exercises to improve technique, or even diving into some advanced music theory. But, if I was having trouble understanding a topic, Rich would recognize it and find a different teaching approach that was better suited for my personal learning style. Rich and I built a great repertoire over the years and I would certainly recommend him as an instructor.

Nick, I remember being challenged by some of your questions, which was great! As you grew as a guitarist, I grew as an instructor. Thank you!
