Brian Harris is an amazing drum teacher! First off, he works with you, no matter how basic your skill level, by developing the most important and fundamental skills needed to become a good drummer. His lesson plans are tailored to your progress and ability, always providing the student with enough of a challenge that it isn't boring and it isn't so difficult that it is discouraging. He manages to pack a large amount of work into just 30 minutes, making for an engaging lesson, while holding scintillating conversation with you on anything drum related you care to talk about. He keeps the lesson focused with a great attention to detail necessary for perfecting those fundamentals, while telling you hilarious or very interesting stories about drummers or drum-related experiences. And from what I've seen I can confidently say that this man is one talented drummer. He'll give you several different rhythms to try out at home and when he demo's them he really works those drums like a pro, improvising and impressing you at the same time. Finally, I'm 23 years old and was self-conscious about starting drum lessons at this age, with no previous percussion experience or exposure. I simply became interested in it by chance and was recommended him by a friend, and I couldn't have been luckier. He welcomed me into his studio with open arms and had me grooving and more excited about drums than I had ever been. Brian Harris is the guy to go to for recording/studio work, lessons, drum tuning, or jamming, He knows EXACTLY what he is doing.

My 11-year-old daughter had taken guitar & piano lessons from Michael over the course of 2 years. He was very flexible with times & even locations for the lessons.....a studio in Ypsilanti, a music room at a nearby music store....or your own home. Michael is old school & understands Music at all levels & as such, communicates with young kids very well. Michael is also a very patient instructor, which he had to be with my daughter. I highly recommend Michael as an instructor to any one.....no problem.

I was a student of Sam's for about two years, and I was extremely pleased with the level of improvement that my drumming took in such a short amount of time. Sam is great at breaking down concepts and explaining them in an easy to grasp way. His analogies are both entertaining and informative, the perfect combo to make any concept stick. The best part about working with Sam is that I could bring any concern or problem I'd been having into a lesson, and he would instantly have a creative way of breaking it down and showing me how I should practice it. Sam not only taught me important technical aspects of drumming, but he taught me how to practice effectively, and how to continue learning outside of lessons. I would highly recommend Sam as a teacher for students of any level.

About

I feel that I have a big advantage over other instructors because I have a huge appreciation for all types of music. I want to learn everything that I can about the instrument and I try to instill that same appreciation into all of my students. I also feel that because I combine disciplined study with a real effort to have fun I tend to get faster results from students because they really are able to make practicing a lot of fun!

About

I am an award-winning composer, published music theorist, and doctoral candidate at the University of Michigan. I have over three years of experience teaching composition and theory, both privately and in the classroom.

About

I am a freelance jazz musician in the Michigan area. I am proficient in all forms of music, but I enjoy and am best at playing jazz, soul, hip-hop and funk. I am available for any sort of performance. I can construct a group upon request (i.e., trio, quintet, etc.). I am also available for private lessons on upright and electric bass, piano and keyboards, drum set and percussion and guitar. My main instrument and/or what I studied in university is upright bass, so naturally, I would be able to help most in that area. That being said, I play the drums and the piano professionally as well. All the best, Aidan Cafferty
