My better half and I have been going to see James for over four months now and we couldn't imagine a better instructor. He's made learning music both easy and enjoyable. He really simplifies the lessons for beginners and makes learning instruments something attainable for all ages and skill levels.

My son really wanted to play guitar and Mark took him at a young age. Since my child has been playing he's grown into himself and even auditioned and got into a performance art school. Mark encourages my child and is an AWESOME instructor! If you need guitar or mandolin lessons you should really try lessons with Mark.

Julie Williams is a very professional and knowledgeable music teacher that has guided me through my first few piano lessons. I had contacted her to learn music theory and to play the piano. Her approach is to start with the basics and to build from there. I highly recommend her as a teacher who has the ability to guide a person through music lessons that will lead to success.

Fern was my piano teacher for about 8 years. She trained me classically and I became an accomplished pianist due to her. She helped me read music, taught me scales and chords and brought from a beginner pianist to an advanced level. She is very reliable: she was always punctual and never cancelled lessons. She's patient and a good teacher and I strongly recommend her for piano lessons.

Sadie is one of the most knowledgeable and patient teachers we've ever used. She gives lessons to four of our children and she knows exactly what each of their strengths and weaknesses are. Sadie is flexible with your hours, she communicates well through phone calls and texts, Hanchey uses new motivational tools to encourage our children to practice piano at home. She provides very clear instructions on what homework she expects them to complete before the next lesson. Overall, Sadie is a wonderful and hardworking teacher who gets the most out of her students.

About

Alexandre Marr began his studies in piano from age 10, focusing on classical and contemporary piano solo repertoire under soprano and pianist, Victoria Auth. Following several debut concerts in the Northeast Ohio area, he went on to formally pursue an undergraduate degree in piano performance at Case Western Reserve University and The Cleveland Institute of Music, moving on a year after to study at Kent State University. While under the mentorship of Gerardo Teissonnière and Dr. Donna Lee, Alexandre won both the Case Western and Kent State Concerto Competitions, performing Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor with the Kent State Symphony Orchestra in 2012. Among recent appearances, he was honored to have performed at the 2014 "Rach Fest" held at New York City's Steinway Hall, as well as Steinway-sponsored masterclasses in the Cleveland area. Alexandre currently serves as music director and pianist for Temple Israel in Canton and Lakemore United Methodist Church in Akron. In 2016, he took on music directorship of The Akron Civic Theatre's Millennial project, a venture in providing the Akron community with high quality, minimalist interpretations of widely performed stage productions. He has also recently begun a private studio out of his home in Akron taking students on a limited basis. Alexandre has been featured as both sololist and accompanist at weddings, cocktail hours, showers, private parties, orchestral performances, and on television advertisements. He works closely with clients to ensure that the music is customized to both their individual taste and the atmosphere of the occasion. Alexandre enjoys maintaining a booked schedule and is available for consultation on any occasion.

About

I have a grand piano for classes. I offer free practice every afternoon. I am a professional piano teacher who helps students take part in their piano competition.

About

I'm a second year Kent State University student. I have over 15 years of musical pianist experience and have been taking private lessons up until 2013. I am interested in teaching children how great it is and what a talent it truly is to learn and master the techniques of the piano. Although I have a little experience in teaching, I'd be interested in teaching basics, scales and pieces, as well as techniques at a low cost that you will not necessarily find among teachers. I'm friendly and have much experience working and interacting with children of all ages. I'd be happy to teach any day of the weekend including evenings.

About

My service stands out because I am a musician/teacher with a Master of Music degree and a professional performing background as a pianist and soprano in solo and ensemble classical concerts, operas, musical theatre, solo shows, pop/jazz gigs, cruise ships, and as a church organist and choir director. I am able to coach my students in piano and vocal technique, music fundamentals, all styles of repertoire, and performing techniques.
