I have never had any music instruction outside of grade school and Christian got me started with the basics of guitar playing and explained to me why the practices he gave me were important and was very positive and encouraging. My first lesson was yesterday and I am already working on my first song! Looking forward to my next lesson and demonstrating my progress.

Jason has been giving lessons to our son, Zac for over 10 years now and it's been the best investment we've ever made. We saw Zac's talent begin to grow from the very beginning. The more Zac learned the more confidence he gained and that couldn't have happened without Jason's skill and patience. Now there is nothing our son cannot do behind a drum kit. Jason is much more than a drum teacher. He's a mentor who has become a part of our extended family and we are very proud to have him.

About

My name is Jake, and I have been playing drums for 20 years. My experience includes classical percussion, marching percussion (HS and college), and drum set in several rock bands and churches. I currently have a few openings for 30-minute drum lessons. I prefer to work with age 8 and older, from beginners to intermediate skill. Lessons can be held in your home, near 71st and Memorial, or near 41st and Mingo. My goal as a teacher is to share my passion for music and guide my students to grow to a point where they can eventually develop on their own. I work as an engineer for my day job, but music has always been a big part of my life, and I truly enjoy sharing my passion by teaching others and seeing my students grow into capable musicians. My instruction is customized based on the goals and current abilities of each student.

About

Hello, future rockstar! I am offering instructions for the rhythmic art of drums and percussion. Whether you have a young student who is looking to get a leg up in middle school band or just decided that you'd like to try your hand at a new hobby, I can get you where you want to be quickly. My skill set includes intermediate drumset, beginning to advanced-level drumline/rudimental drumming, and beginning to advanced-level classical percussion (for orchestra or wind ensemble). I formulate specific curricula based on the individual student. Everyone learns the most efficiently in his/her own way. Lesson one is a free diagnostic meeting (optional) where we will discuss the goals of the student. This can be done at my home studio or over the phone (generally preferred by parents of young students.) After that, we will schedule a time to meet weekly or monthly. The rate is $20 for a half hour and $30 for an hour.

About

I provide drum lessons for the beginner or intermediate student. I specialize in the rock or pop genre, but I also have good knowledge in a variety of musical genres. One thing I like to do is build a foundation of basic exercises and rudiments, and implement them into their interests in music.
