What is a boot camp class?

Fitness boot camps are a heart-pounding way to boost your fitness level. Boot camps are led by a fitness instructor and are based on the concept of military boot camps — intensive workout programs to get new recruits into shape, quickly. How much is a boot camp?

The cost of fitness boot camps depends on how often you go, the package you are purchasing (or if you are paying a drop-in fee), the location of the bootcamp, the equipment the instructors provide, and the background and reputation of the instructor. Smaller towns and areas with a lower cost of living typically have lower rates for boot camp services than big cities and regions with a higher cost of living. If you’re paying per class on a drop-in basis, expect to pay anywhere from $12 to $25 or more, depending on the region and the instructor. When you purchase a package of classes, typically the more you buy at one time, the cheaper each class is. The same boot camp class might be $20 for a drop-in student, $15 for a student who pays for 10 classes per month, and $10 for a student who pays for 30 classes a month. Studio space can also affect costs, so if your boot camp takes place in a high-end gym with top-of-the-line equipment, the prices will likely be higher than a class that meets in an outdoor space with limited or no equipment. I can now say it's definitely worth it to pay for a personal trainer. I am 46 years old and needed help bad. With Caleb’s help, I’ve been so much more motivated towards my workouts. If you think a trainer can help you with working out then Caleb will definitely be a positive addition to your routine. I train with him three times a week and that is perfect for me. If you buy a package of ten sessions that is the best deal. Caleb has much better value than many of the other trainers that I talked to. I started searching for a personal trainer when the gym I currently go to totally dropped the ball in getting me set up with one of their trainers. So, I figured hey, if they don't want my money I'll go find somewhere else to spend it! Anyhow...I started searching for places and stumbled across Caleb at Westside Family Fitness and I am sure glad I did. First of all what a great concept...to just have focus on personal training. You don't have to worry about regular gym go-ers getting in your way during your training! I love it. The gym Superior Physique is where we train and it is well equipped, clean and friendly. The gym and Caleb's website are linked to each other and they have helpful information and even better I can schedule and pay online, so I can see the schedule and pick a time that works for me, this is a nice option! I put my interest in through there website and was contacted the same day. I just want to say my experience was a great and look forward to many more!

Jesse is a brilliant personal trainer! I found him on thumbtack, and signed up for the free consultation. Jesse took notes, asked plentiful questions about my health, workout history and my goals. Based on the workout we did in the consultation session, he was able to craft up a targeted plan to help me achieve my goals. I can already see a lot of increase in my strength as well as a general tone up in my body. I felt some weakness/pain from certain exercises and he was able to find modifications that would let me still proceed without pain or trouble while not compromising on working out the target muscle group. In addition he has suggested multiple warm ups and workouts I can do on my off days to help build my weak spots. My energy levels have consistently been building up on my fitness journey with Jesse which has helped me achieve more in my day to day life as well. Additionally he was able to provide some basic nutrition references on how my ideal diet should look which was an added plus. He is very punctual and flexible with timings which really helps as I have odd and long work hours. He also is very motivating during sessions which helps you get past the 40 min mark of the workout when fatigue begins to set in. I’m very happy with the results I see and recommend Jesse as the top choice for personal trainer in this area.

Twelve weeks prior to walking into Superior Physique, I had changed my eating habits, started a reputable workout program at home, 5-6 days a week, with absolutely no progress to show for it. I take that back, my pants had actually began to fit me tighter than before I had started the program. Confused, frustrated and determined, I needed a change. I found Turk through Thumbtack.com. Like you, I read the reviews and took a chance. What will a consultation hurt, right? It’s just a chat. Turk was professional, knowledgeable and very articulate. He took time to get to know my history, my goals and areas of opportunity. He takes something that can be scientifically complex (down right confusing), and breaks it down in easy to understand ways. I quickly learned why I wasn’t seeing results and what I needed to do in order to change. My nutrition was out of balance, I was under eating and I needed to add in strength training. The first week, I thought, “Oh my goodness, I have no idea what I am doing- this is a whole new world for me. I am not in Kansas anymore.” I went to two sessions that week, a nervous wreck, a little nauseated, and had no idea what to expect. I cannot remember if I walked in with a terrified look or not but Turk quickly made me feel at ease. First, we went over nutrition in detail and then onto the floor. Turk explained and demonstrated the exercises, showing what muscle groups were being triggered and what the proper form of each exercise looked and felt like (He is fantastic at educating you). The hour flew by and I didn’t die! I found myself wanting more. Seventeen weeks into my journey, Turk has far exceeded my expectations. I can honestly say working out with Turk has become my favorite part of the week. I look back in amazement of how much I have progressed over the weeks. I am thrilled with my results and love watching how my body transforms from week to week. I have gone from 27% body fat down to 21%, and gained 4lbs of muscle. With Turk as my partner in crime, there is no doubt that we will achieve my goals. Not only is Turk extremely knowledgeable and efficient, he is a positive and motivating guy that pushes you to your limits. The limits you had no idea were even there. He has opened my eyes to a world I have never considered before and I love every minute of my new journey. If you are anything like me cardio is easy and comfortable. Easy and comfortable doesn’t always get you the results that you want or need. If it terrifies you, it transforms you. To me this was strength training and personal trainers.
