We have hired Jody twice. The first time was to put together a room full of IKEA furniture. He was an IKEA expert, but also had a keen eye for spacing and room design. Recently, I called Jody back for a re-hire job. We spent the day hanging pictures and fixing little problems throughout the house. He's a really nice person and can fix anything!
I needed help in cleaning out furniture, trash, clothing, appliances, in an old house from attic to cellar. Glenn was knowledable in the "art" of discerning trash from treasure and provided a team of workers who hustled to get the job done!
Song is everything you'd want from a professional furniture refinisher. He takes enormous pride in his work, consults with the customer, taking a lot of time to walk the customer through the refinishing process. He is very punctual and patient. I had him refinish a cherry table and the stain was too dark. He worked with me and redid it. The table is everything I had hoped for-and more. I just can't speak more highly of Song and his integrity as a professional and as a person.
Excellent Job - very well done - 3,500 miles across country I found "moving with ease" through Thumbtak. I had a very long distance move. We needed our house contents which were in a 20 x 22 feet storage unit in Vancouver, WA moved to the middle of Florida. I had five quotes from various companies, three of these were through Thumbtak (who I had never used before).. Two of the quotes were from the big removal companies who were very expensive and very thorough. Of the three Thumbtak quotes, moving with ease was the only one who asked to see the storage unit. One of the big companies was there for 3/4 hour doing a full inventory of what needed shipped, Robert (moving with ease) took just over 10 minutes to size it up and gave me a good price within one hour of seeing the storage. We agreed the dates and times I needed and the job was his. Robert and a helper showed up just before the scheduled time on the Sunday and packed everything quickly and efficiently into the truck. I was extremely impressed by Robert's skill of packing the truck tightly and carefully for the minimum of movement. It was like watching Tetris with furniture, boxes and odd shaped items. After two hours, the truck was fully packed to the door and the storage unit was empty. It was amazing - his estimate was spot-on.. Eight days later on the scheduled date, just before the scheduled time, Robert knocked on the door of our new house in Florida. He took a quick look round the house and started work. He was joined by two local movers and they had the truck unloaded, beds assembled, furniture and boxes in place in the house in three hours. They could not have been more helpful. My summary would be, moving with ease is not like the other companies. There is no sales talk, no complications, communication is quick, you ask a question, you get an answer very quickly. No frills, no beating around the bush - no extra charges for piano, TV, Kayak (we had all three) straight to the point, no surprises AND the quote you are given is what you pay. They work hard and get the job done well. I am glad I went with my gut feeling that Robert was a very trustworthy person and ignored the doubts I had of using this small, unknown company. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Needed help getting an apartment ready for my father, especially required help assembling big, heavy furniture that came in many pieces. Gabriel Branscum happened to have the good parts of two days available and was able to fit this in. He arrived as arranged and did the work plus some other items that we needed. Price was fine, punctuality fine.
These guys were awesome! I hired them to move some furniture and boxes from our garage and first floor to the second floor. They were friendly, professional, and maintained a positive attitude even under difficult circumstances. The biggest challenge was getting a VERY heavy box spring around a tight corner of stairs. I was ready to give up, but they were determined to get the job done! I was very impressed and would definitely hire them again.
I had a good experience using Thumbtack - but specifically because I found Hedgehog Home Services. They are terrific! I first had contact with Jim, who did an exceptional job of keeping in contact and was very responsive to my questions (answering promptly with helpful and accurate information). I had a particularly upsetting situation that occurred after I initially decided on and scheduled with Hedgehog - my dog became ill and I had to reschedule not once, but twice. Although I personally felt badly, on both occasions, Jim and Gavin could not possibly have been more understanding. I truly appreciated this and they went above and beyond to accommodate my situation. I worked with Gavin on my actual furniture assembly project. He helped me construct both an entertainment center and bed frame. Gavin did an excellent job with both. The entertainment center in particular was difficult - “seemingly 100 piece” project I could never have done - very “Ikea-esq” type situation. He set about it and put it together beautifully! He did the same with the bed. My apartment is a “work in progress” and I will be embarking on “stage 2” in the immediate future. I will DEFINITELY be using Hedgehog Home Services again without hesitation. These are true and knowledgeable professionals - and are not “part-timers” (like Task Rabbit for instance). They are true professionals in every sense. Working with Hedgehog Home Services (Jim with scheduling, and Gavin for the actual project) was a 100% positive experience. Gavin was very “appropriately friendly”. He was willing to chat and answer questions, but never lost focus or stopped working. A+++ vote from me - and will be using again. Arrived on time-courteous and knowledgeable-fair price and great work! Thanks Gavin & Jim !
Billy and his team expertly handled the move of some furniture pieces that have tremendous value to me. Before the move we talked about some details, including the wrapping of these pieces and some of the challenges of the spaces they were coming from/going to. Billy’s decades of moving experience certainly shows in the care he manages his moves with. He and his team were quite timely, and got the job done well within the estimated allotment. His rates are also very competitive. I will definitely use him for future moves.
Shane and his helper were absolutely amazing. He is a very experienced piano mover and I would highly recommend him to anyone. They were also able to help us move several heavy furniture items when we were falling behind on moving our stuff to our new house. I cannot day enough good things about them and will definitely be using them in the future.
The crew did an amazing job!! They were very professional, showed up on time and made excellent use of there time. I had a very heavy item that needed to be moved upstairs and in a difficult doorway. They got it done with care and concern for the furniture and the house walls. I will diffinately use them in the future. I highly recommend them.

We used Northwest Grace Moving company to relocate from Oregon to California. From the initial consultation to the last box unloaded Matt and his team were incredibly professional and easy to work with. They went above and beyond in getting us packed up, even giving great tips on how to properly pack a box. Our items were handled with care every step of the way, and not a single item was broken or damaged at all, even through multiple unloadings and reloadings while we had our items in storage for about a month, as well as a thousand mile drive to our new location. They even helped us get our furniture set up after everything had been unloaded! These guys know what they are doing and I would highly recommend their services to everyone! Ryan quickly replied to my job request of relocating a treadmill within the house. He came on time, disassembled the treadmill, moved it to another room through a narrow door, and then assembled it back. And he was easy to work with. I highly recommend him for treadmill related work.
