After our initial meeting, we knew we had no need to look further. Denise listened to our hopes and needs and came up with a great plan. She worked seamlessly with the contractor. Her ideas were fresh and new while keeping the mid century feel of the home. Her creativity and design ideas brought life and light to a dark and somewhat dreary home. What we have ended up with is a home that is not only beautiful but easy to live in and maintain, as well. Her fun personality and sense of humor are an added bonus. Through the years we have been through several large renovations of different homes and also some new builds. This has been the best experience we have ever had. This is a long overdue review of Luis and his team. We first contracted Luis just to work on making our low ceiling height into a higher/cathedral type. We ended up having him and his team do the ceiling, flooring, remodel our kitchen and fireplace and very recently, repainting the exterior of our house. Luis gave us reasonable price and we are very satisfied with the quality of work. We have a few more projects in our house and we're looking forward to working again with Luis and his team!

We hired Kohei and his team for several projects, and everything turned out amazing. They completely changed the layout of our yard including a retaining wall, fence and plants. They also laid a flagstone patio, a concrete patio and assembled a gazebo at another property. They remodeled a small guest house as well. Kohei is a great communicator and always keeps you apprised of the timeline and next steps. The work is done in a reasonable time frame as well. We’ve been happy with our experience!

Rick and his team just helped me with a full remodel on my 650sq ft home. As a first time home owner with a house that needed every thing replaced, I was really overwhelmed. Rick jumped in and took care of EVERYTHING. The roof is brand new and no longer sinking, along with the foundation. He was able to restore the original wood floors. He did a full kitchen remodel, insulation, new windows, doors, closets, paint, dry wells, landscaping and decks (he even took out the bearing wall to open up the living room). They did all of this for 20k less than other folks bid me. He was able to work with my budget and vision and made it a reality! They are all awesome :) I’ll definitely call him if I need any more work done in the future.

Joe De Marco landed in my life via Thumbtack, and what an amazing stroke of luck that was! I’d been debating making an offer on a house for sale, but it was going to need extensive remodeling before I could move in. And without knowing what was possible, or what the renovations might cost, I wasn’t sure what to offer on the house itself or if I could even afford everything I had in mind. Though I’ve owned two, I really know almost *nothing* about houses--and less about the actual work that contractors do. I was an easy mark, in other words, and Joe could have taken me right to the cleaners! Instead, at a time when other local contractors can’t even be bothered to answer their phone, Joe De Marco got back to me right away, spent 90 minutes at the house with me explaining every single detail, and had an estimate for me within 24 hours! And I didn’t even own the house, which means Joe did all that work pro bono. He came up with creative and affordable solutions to every problem I threw his way, and taught me an awful lot in the process. Ultimately, I decided not to buy the house, in large part because of what I learned through Joe. He could have lied to me and taken my life’s savings, and I’d have been none the wiser. But instead, he was honest and patient and down-to-earth, the kind of guy I know I can *trust*. We remodeled a recently purchased 1970's home. We raised the living room floor, removed a raised floor in the master bedroom, replaced all the floors with hardwood, moved the washer and dryer to a different location, installed recessed lighting, changed all of the interior doors, changed an interior cedar wall to an amazing feature wall and painted the interior. We used IBI as the contractor for our remodeling. The quality of work was excellent. The work was completed on budget except for change orders that we made during construction. When changes were needed we received bids, negotiated the work to be completed and electronically accepted the changes before any work was done. The workers on our project were excellent and professional. They continually asked us questions to be sure the work was done to meet our needs. They gave us advice and helped us make the right decisions. They were pleasant and made the experience fun. We weren't living in the house when the project was done, but we never felt uncomfortable about leaving knowing that the workers were going to do the right thing. We learned to be patient as there were delays. Sub-contractors were not always available, IBI had other clients that had deadlines that needed to be met; however, we had regular communications on reasons for delays and when they anticipated completion of tasks in the project. We have recommended IBI to friends and IBI would be our first contact if we need a contractor.

Kohei and his team worked on a big house remodel project for us recently. The list included replacement of old plumbing, kitchen/bath demo and installation of all new cabinets, appliances, and fixtures, painting of walls and ceilings, new flooring in bathrooms, installation of new carpet in the basement, installation of new baseboards, water heater, there may be a few small things I left out but you get the picture, the work was not trivial. We purchased the home in April, signed the contract by the end of the month, work started in May and was completed before July 4th. We got bids from several contractors, but what stood out to me in working with Kohei was his knowledge and ability to foresee potential issues with any task that we were wanting to do, and his willingness to brainstorm solutions that would fit within our budget. This rings true of everyone in his crew, from the carpenters, plumber, electricians, and tiler. I asked for some unusual things like laying different color tiles or patchwork tiles, and installing baseboards that I stained myself, and Kohei was willing to find a way to make it happen even on a tight schedule. His crew also went above and beyond to help us complete the project by our deadline, and we couldn't be more grateful for their hard work and integrity in helping us make our vision come alive in our new home. We are in particular grateful to Angel who did all the detailed work around the house--he did excellent work painting, installing flooring, fixtures, and helping us come up with solutions when transitions between floors went wonky, or when we had to move our too-big-for-the-door fridge. We came away from the project feeling that Kohei and his team have a great sense of trustworthiness and pride in the work that they do. They care about quality, and are truly the opposite of what you hear about many contractors ghosting you--they will show up and finish the work. We have nothing but the highest of recommendations for Kohei and his crew!! Thanks for making our home such a beautiful place!
