About

We believe that music instruction should be enjoyable, built on a solid technical foundation, inspire creativity, and match each individual's goals. Learning an instrument, like the piano, for instance, or singing, has many proven benefits. Playing music both assists in children's development and enriches the lives of adults. We teach all levels and ages, from preschool and up. We guide each and every student through the basics of singing, reading and playing music and offer advanced levels of instruction as well. Meet Our Instructors: Brooke Brooks (maiden name: Munoz) ~ Voice and Piano Instructor, Owner I specialize in classical (opera and art song), musical theatre and jazz, but if you are interested in working on a different genre, I would be more than happy to work on that as well. I emphasize proper breath support and posture, which are among the first steps to achieving a solid foundation and technique. I have also studied German, Spanish, Italian and French, and will help with pronunciation and interpretation of lyrics. For the singer who is looking into acting (such as the musical theatre world), I can provide tips on improvisational skills, how to cold read in an audition, monologue help, resume and headshot advice, and portfolio building. I received my Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees from The San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I also teach beginning piano and musicianship/theory. These lessons are geared toward students who are looking to learn how to read music, as well as grasp the fundamentals of musicianship. Ultimately, each student is different, and I am here to help you or your child build upon their musical aspirations by offering a unique lesson geared toward what you or they are looking for. About

Music has been a big part of my life from an early age. I began teaching piano lessons in high school, realized I loved helping others learn how to make music, and have taught students of all ages ever since. I believe music should be fun, so I seek to tailor the teaching experience for the student, helping them learn what they want to play. At the same time, I place a strong emphasis on the importance of fundamentals and theory, so I try to maintain a well-rounded approach to ensure these items are understood and grasped. I teach private piano lessons as well as acoustic and electric guitar. I teach out of my home, or I can come to you, depending on schedule availability.

She loves helping students fluidly move fingers across the piano, discover note/rhythm patterns, and find the joy of playing familiar tunes. Rates are $104 per month for weekly half hour lessons at the studio. In-home lessons cost $125 for month. Prices include approximately 7 monthly master classes. My son is 14 years old and has no musical background. Taking lessons from Bethany has been a wonderful experience for him. She has a very relaxed and open approach to teaching. I don't need to remind him to practice because he is self motivated and doesn't want to disappoint his teacher. He is receiving a solid foundation and I believe she will be able to help him progress throughout the years. She is also very responsive and is easy to reach by email. I would highly recommend her services!!
