Jesse is a great instructor with a prestigious background and education in singing and music in general. He knows what he's talking about. He's easy to get along and communicate with, and knows when to push you and how hard to push reach your goals. I had no music background at all and after A few lessons and his teachings, I already know I can go far in the music world. This guy is the real deal

Patient, intelligent, talented… Those are just three of the qualities that Maxime displays as a guitar teacher. I started taking guitar lessons from him last year and to be honest, at first I was somewhat concerned about taking music lessons over the Internet. But it’s worked out quite well. And although I am a beginning guitar player, I’m not an inexperienced music student. After undergraduate studies in music. I went to Juilliard on scholarship before going on to perform all over the world. Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, recording contract with Sony. Recorded at Abbey Rd. Studios with the London Philharmonic, PBS radio and TV performances with leading orchestras and opera companies and along the way more voice lessons than I can remember…. 😬 so if there’s one thing I’ve done a lot of it’s take private music lessons. From a lot of people. Some good, some bad, and some great. And I have no qualms about recommending Max to either a beginning or advanced guitar student. He does a great job and is very organized in his teaching. So if you’re thinking of taking lessons give him a try. I think you’ll be very happy. Did I mention that is also a really nice guy…? 😎 Les young

Kris Savitski is an amazing teacher and listener. I was nervous about the little knowledge and experience I had with playing piano being 35 years old. As I took a music theory class in college I used to know a bit more but it had been so long and wanted to finally learn to really play. Kris was able to quickly see where I was at and took the time in our first session to see what my strengths and (many) weaknesses were lol. He was able to immediately give me a couple of drills to practice at home or anywhere to build dexterity strength. Every lesson I have been taking with Kris is enjoyable as we practice pieces recommended by him to get me up to speed and improve music theory skills but ALSO pieces that I am interested in learning. I used to think that taking piano lessons would be boring and dreadful to go to, but Kris TRULY ADAPTED TO HOW I LEARN and mostly uses genres that appeal to me! His INNOVATIVE TEACHING is what has kept me coming back and continuing to take lessons from him. Some of our sessions include him playing a melody while I improvise the harmony which allows me to really learn the type of sound(s) I feel sound amazing together in order to write my own pieces. He will also video what I'm playing via my phone so that I can remember the improvised sounds and notes, along with finger placement for me to refer to when practicing at home. Of course he provides classic learning pieces to practice which are key for me to improve my music reading skills and muscle memory for finger placements as well. I mentioned to Kris in one of my later lessons that I wanted to write AND SING songs and he has now incorporated voice lessons with our practices. I never thought I would have enough courage to sing seriously in front of someone but Kris has a way of being professional yet truly helpful in a way that allows you to be comfortable as it can be scary opening your creativity up to anyone. Therefore I now have the the courage and ease to sing in front of him and have learned so many breathing and vocal techniques since we've started incorporating vocal too! I would highly recommend Kris to anyone at any skill set level as he is a true teacher and listener with extreme talent.

I took violin lessons from Mirabai for about three months. I am an adult, and I had very little violin training prior. Always punctual and very professional, she possesses not only immense musical talent but also a keen teaching aptitude. She took a rigorous teaching approach while also accommodating the student's personal musical preferences. Classes with her were well above my expectation, and I would like to resume some time in the future.

Before I started voice with Deanna I was light in stage presence. I didn’t have a booming voice, and though I may still not- I felt Deanna’s direction allowed me to push past my previous limitations that I set for myself. The most difficult part about that was I hadn’t much experience singing for long periods as I later would with Deanna. I was very rough with my approach to singing- never warming up, and not aware of the harm straining can do. If I had continued down the path I was on I probably would have damaged my voice. I had always heard of the precautions singers took, but I tended to dismiss them as obsessive or myth. The thing about Deanna is that her approach to instruction allows a newcomer to feel welcomed and at ease when learning new techniques and being exposed to a whole new array of material, such as music. I was very new to music theory- but quickly picked it up through her teaching, and never feared asking questions. Deanna is considerate, patient, and observant. I have gained knowledge in reading music and having an even greater stage presence. I loved working with Deanna and the cast, and will always use the experience as a reference for future experiences. I’d recommend Deanna to other vocalists who want to use their voice as an ultimate instrument in their performances.

Bonnie is, quite simply, a superb piano teacher, and we whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone who is serious about his or her child learning to play the piano. She translates complex music theory into easy building blocks for a small child to understand. Bonnie then relates these concepts to activities and ideas easy to grasp. She balances mechanics with theory and sight-reading with improvisation. And Bonnie has an amazing amount of patience, kindness, good humor, and phenomenal skill! She can draw my daughter’s little wandering mind back to the subject easily and makes learning the piano fun and interesting.

My 4 year old son and I get lessons from Nyssa. I do voice. I have learned a lot from Nyssa. She is very knowledgeable, patient and so encouraging! My son is doing Wunderkeys(preschool piano)with Nyssa. He has limited motor skills and this has really helped him make great progress. I see growth in that he is doing things with his hands that he had trouble with in the past. She works really well with him as well. My husband calls it my son's "occupational therapy." I would recommend her 100%

Attila was great with my 8 year old. He is very patient, was able to teach some basic guitar concepts, and gave reasonable homework for the time between lessons. We've only had one lesson so far, but my son is excited to learn more!

Helen, was AMAZING, she taught my 6 yr daughter her first piano lesson. We were going to try out a few different teachers, but after meeting her, I have no interest going anywhere else. Thank you for being so friendly and so talented! <3 A few things that were important to me were, 1. She could connect with my 6 year old. 2. That she could teach syllabus. 3. That she has opportunities for her students to perform during the year. She met all three of those. :)

I used to work alongside Heidi at a dance and music education studio. She teaches with knowledge, professionalism, and enthusiasm. Heidi has a real passion for music and theater, and works hard to share and express that passion with her students. Not only is she able to share her expertise in music theory and performance, but she does so in a fun, innovative way. I have seen first-hand how beloved she is by her students and their parents!

Jeremy is a fantastic instructor. I took piano lessons from him with an emphasis on music theory. He expertly calibrated the lessons to my level of experience with both and as well as my learning speed. He has an easygoing and encouraging presence, and explains concepts in several different ways, making them easier to understand and remember. I had a lot of fun. Thanks, Jeremy!

Honestly, I have no voice, I sound flat, but when I started voice lessons with Bre a whole new world opened up for me! I am no longer afraid to sing. Anyone wanting to explore singing and improve upon their talents should sign up for lessons while she still is taking students. She is filled with such joy for music and no matter how hard it is for you, she will elevate you to your next level.

My Daughter went from never playing an instrument to being proficient on her trumpet in 8 months. Her band teacher is so impressed. Much of her understanding of music comes from her voice and trumpet lessons with Ms. Valardi. She is branching out into piano this summer and has even attempted to write her own solo. A music teacher that understands the excitement of a student and balances that with foundation is a wonderful thing to find. Ms Valardi is just that.

Daniel is knowledgeable, patient, and personable. He catered each lesson to my individual progress and learning speed. His prices are very reasonable and he even provides a discount if you pay for a whole month of lessons at once. Unfortunately, I had to stop attending lessons due to a schedule change at work, but if I had not, I would still be going. I would absolutely recommend Daniel to anyone who is interested in learning more about music!
