Paula has been a wealth of information and helped us focus to help our German Shepherd learn. And of course, most of it is training us! She is kind and encouraging, I would recommend her services.
Deedee helped me and my wife with our 1.5 year old german shepherd tremendously. He’s well behaved when he’s in “training” mode but can be a terror when he’s not focused or remotely distracted. With only four sessions, his behavior went from almost unbearable (always play biting, barking at everything, not great at walking, etc.) to the point where he’s getting compliments on his behavior. We participated in two separate (different locations) group-training sessions when he was younger but the results weren’t where we wanted them. I would highly recommend one-on-one training with Deedee because she teached us, the owners, as much -if not more- than she was able to teach our dog (it could be beneficial to do group training after an initial training with Deedee to socialize your dog/pup). I never realized how much we thought we were doing correctly (per the group training classes) that just wasn’t cutting it. He still has a ways to go but she sets a strong foundation. Overall, if you have a dog you simply aren’t seeing the results you want from training or a young puppy, call Deedee. We’ll likely be boarding our dog with her as well when we go on vacation. She’s very professional, responsive and accommodating. We both highly recommend her.
We used Dog Gone Walking for over a year, until we moved out of the city. They were always great with my 2 dogs (a labradoodle & an American Bulldog) and left the best notes about their walks around the neighborhood and in the park. We trusted our home and our pets to them, and they never let us down.
I came across Paw & Order while looking for a "last resort" trainer for my rescue German Shepherd Emma. Emma had extreme dog reactivity on and off leash and had even attacked another dog in my neighborhood. Due to this aggressive behavior, Emma spent most of her time inside. After calling Paw and Order, trainer Jamie came for an evaluation and got started shortly after. The company had not a single reservation with working on a "bad dog" which to be honest, made me a little nervous. How could they fix the seemingly unfixable? After the first session, Emma began walking on leash better than she ever had. She was listening and much more calm. As an extra layer of training, owner Elissa took in Emma for a board and train to hone in on Emma's reactivity. Elissa kept me informed of Emma's progress each day, and after completing the board and train, I picked up a new dog. Emma was socializing and friendly with all the other dogs which I had never seen her do before. Even after bringing her home, the tools which we had learned to use continued to stick. Now Emma is the star of any park, walking and listening better than most dogs we see. She even enjoys the off-leash dog park which I never thought we would set foot in. Additionally, we utilize trainer Nate for regular dog walks while I am at work. Knowing that the same training principles are adhered to during Emma's walks while I am at work is a huge relief. I am confident in their ability to not only guide her on a walk, but continue to instill her training methods. This company is not for treat training and tricks. They really train your dog to behave and follow commands for everyday use, and for safety and recall. Though Emma has always been loved and well cared for, her quality of life before Paw and Order was nothing like it is today. She goes everywhere with me, without my fear of "how will she react to this?". She gets to meet dogs, socialize, run and play, and see life in a way she'd never gotten to before. I highly recommend this company if you feel stuck with your pet, or are trying to break extremely unwanted behaviors. I continue to board Emma with Elissa, and go on monthly pack walks with Paw and Order clients, and couldn't be happier with our results. I was not compensated in any way to provide this review - just wanted to share my satisfaction and hope to help out any other struggling dog parents!
My wife and I signed our Weimeraner up for the two week crate and train package and l can say with 100% certainty that it was the best money we've ever spent. Prior to the training my wife simply couldn't handle our dog. He is too big and too strong for her to control (not to mention that it's pretty embarrassing to be pulled around constantly by your dog). We met with the trainers (Buck and Sue) and knew immediately we had found the right place. We dropped our pup off, went on our honeymoon, and picked up a completely different dog. Like night and day. He went from pulling like a sled dog on leash to walking right next to us without one. He listens, obeys, and is overall a pleasure to be around. When we picked him up Buck and Sue took all the time we needed to show us how to properly use his commands and taught us the dos and donts that will insure proper behavior. Now I take him to the trail all the time with no leash in sight and let him do his own thing knowing that at any moment for any reason I can call him right back to my side with no problem whatsoever. We went from embarrassed to gushing with pride as we constantly are receiving praise for how well behaved and trained our dog is. Buck and Sue are the nicest and most genuine people you could ever hope to have molding your dog (they cried when we picked him up just like we did when we dropped him off). They sent us tons of pictures and videos of the training process while we were gone so we could see his progress and never feel like he was too far away. If you want to have the best behaved dog in your neighborhood or are having trouble with at home training then you don't have to look any further than Offleash K9. My friends are all looking to have their pups trained there and any dog we have in the future will absolutely be spending some time with the BEST TRAINERS IN PITTSBURGH. You're the Best Luke, Shelle, and Ruxin
I never thought taking our dog to get trained would be so much fun as well as super educational! Aunt Penny presents many stimulating activities in a step-by-step manner which makes it easy for you to do home. Aunt Penny's services are one if a kind. I couldn't recommend her more strongly!
Brooke is a great person who knows dogs. We have a senior corgi and a very shy German shepherd, and when we took them to meet Brooke, both dogs liked her right away. Our GSD wasn't nervous at all, which seems like a small miracle, because everything makes her nervous! Brooke watched our girls for a week, and they came home happy and as if they'd never left, so I know they were calm and happy with Brooke. She also sends photo updates so you can see what your pups are up to while you're away, and even gave our corgi a much-needed bath. We will definitely be using Brooke for all of our dog sitting needs in the future.
Your pets couldn't be in better hands!!!! Stacy's love of animals extends out from her home to yours. Give her a call. You and your pet will be glad you did Dana Frisco McCandless, Pa
Lindsay is great with our German Shepherd mix. She has been very trustworthy and always let's me know when something is out of the ordinary. It's such a relief to know someone is checking on our pup in the middle of the day, especially when he was not feeling well. Lindsay knows her stuff when it comes to dogs, and it has been so wonderful to have her around.
Jack and Swade can't wait for your next visit (although it may be Ruby that really makes their tails wag) Can't wait for my dogs to learn all the tricks that Ruby has mastered. See ya soon !
The trainers who are part Dogworks training, Inc are the real deal. My dog Sage and I took part in their Fiesty Fido class this past summer and I could not have been more pleased. They taught me so much about reading my dog, dog reactivity, and positive training methods. Sage is doing much better on walks and I have these experts to thank. If you have a leash reactive dog then I would highly recommend this class.
Based on the recommendation of my veterinarian, who knew Dayton, I contracted with him for 6 weeks of training for a 5 month old German Shepherd. He helped me understand the breed and worked with us as the pup learned basic commands. I was so pleased with my progress with the pup that I contracted for 6 more lessons and later recommended him to a friend who had just rescued a 2 year old greyhound. Dayton obviously loves and respects dogs. He has endless patience for the dog and the owner and is able to clearly explain and demonstrate the lesson being taught. He is very generous with his time and knowledge and he guarantees his training. He is prompt to respond to messages and is always available to address training problems or issues that might develop after the class is over.
Andrea is absolutely fabulous! We learned more in an hour and a half with Andrea than 6 weeks of a stock training class at a retail pet store. The one on one attention and completely customized approach was key for our 3 month old German Shepherd puppy. I watched him learn a series of commands in a matter of minutes. I feel armed with the knowledge I need to be able to successfully and effectively train my puppy. Looking forward to our next lesson!
