Tony is an incredible chef and true expert in entertaining! He was so accommodating to the changing headcount of a bachelorette party and even included a vegetarian option with every course to satisfy all the dietary needs at the event. He was a one man show and prepared four courses with wine pairings for 17 rowdy women in the Poconos and we all agreed that meal was the highlight of a bachelorette weekend. I'm so thankful to Tony for providing such excellent service and being so friendly and lovely. Thank goodness he left business cards because we all grabbed them up and are looking for excuses to hire him again.

Zyair and her team did a fabulous job on my wedding decor. She listened to my ideas while encorporating her own to capture exactly what I envisioned my wedding to look like and more. She also has great communication skills. I never had any problems contacting her with any questions or concerns. She also was my main coordinator. She is very knowledgeable about what she was doing and what i needed. She was not afraid to take charge of a chaotic situation. My guest are still talking about how beautiful my decor was. I'm still smiling as well. I would highly recommended her if your planning any event. You won't be disappointed.

DJ King Leo was hired to DJ my daughters sweet 16 event. He arrived on time he answered questions professionally, he was interactive with the kids. His music was exactly what the children wanted to hear. The crowd never sat down, he made it easy for the kids to enjoy themselves on the dance floor. He was a pleasant addition to the party and made the party phenomenal! I could not have had my event without Jeremiah’s amazing bartending skills! He went above and beyond to help make sure everything ran smoothly and I could not thank him enough! I was planning a college graduation party for my son. I hired SOAR to assist with the planning and it was a great choice. Olamide, the owner was a pleasure to work with and a tremendous help. She is professional with a pleasant disposition. She has good time management, works well staying on top of the details, and kept me abreast of changes with the vendors and their contracts. She handles the small details very well and has an awesome way of making your vision for your party, come to fruition. I referred SOAR to a colleague while Olamide and I were working together for support planning her event, and highly recommend her to others. SOAR is my event planner of choice, going forward.

Chaad and his team are truly amazing. Recently, I had a hip hop 80’s party, and each time I begin to feel stressed, Chaad and his team jumped in to make sure everything went smoothly as planned. Amongst all of the catering companies I’ve contacted, Ster Catering was the only one who provided samples of the foods I wanted served at my party. This is a huge plus and I wish other catering companies offered this option. On the day of my event, Chaad and his team arrived early. They assisted with decorating (which they did not have to do). They also provided great food and drinks which everyone loved. I highly recommend Ster Catering and I would definitely hire Chaad and his team for another event.

Chelsea was my wedding planner and was absolutely incredible! My husband and I had been dumped for our initial wedding venue two short months before our wedding. We also had just switched new jobs so a lot was going on with not much time to plan. We knew our wedding date would remain the same though and thankfully that was when Chelsea was sent to us! Chelsea went above and beyond making dreams come true for us that we did not even think were possible!! Anytime things even attempted to become overwhelming, she handle everything every time! Going above and beyond is actually an understatement with the capabilities of Chelsea’s beautiful mind! June 10, 2018 was our wedding day and the best day of my life, and I owe so much to Chelsea!! Family owned business, with great employees. From the time i called to when they arrived to set up the jump house, everyone was pleasant and courteous. The bounce house seemed new and it was clean. The tables and chairs all matched and were clean. After our party the bounce house was dirty because the kids were playing with water and on grass, therefore if you are reading this... please take the time to wash it inside with a rag before bringing it down so the next person doesn't have to. These things are big and heavy and most likely not blown up when they go back to storage which is why at times they appear dirty. They came when they said they would and they picked it up promptly. I will def hire them again on the next event!!

I had an amazing time in my baby shower thanks to RêveCraft Events. Pooja & Dhara the owners of RêveCraft Events are so nice and creative, I personally really appreciate them for being patience with me. They really made my vision come true. The theme of my party was Storybook Theme and they really had some amazing ideas too where they also helped me organize my event. I was a little worried that it would come out expensive but their rates were very reasonable. They really were so accommodating and really good with actually working with you. I would highly recommend booking your event with them.

What does a wedding event coordinator do?

Pulling off a large, complex wedding or an elegant, small affair requires juggling myriad details, including the officiant, food, drink, wedding cake, entertainment, transportation, rehearsal dinner, photography, equipment rentals, venue reservations and more. A wedding event coordinator can help you keep track of these details, overseeing the planning process and managing everything on the day of your wedding. Each wedding coordinator (and wedding) is different, but in general you can expect an event coordinator to:

  • Help you devise a realistic wedding budget and hold your vendors to it.
  • Map out a master plan that includes all of the details including ceremony music, favors, the guest book and more.
  • Suggest ceremony and reception locations that fit your wedding size, budget and vision.   
  • Suggest florists, photographers, bands, caterers and other vendors that fit your budget.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts for the best deals.
  • Create a timeline for the day of the wedding that includes each vendor and member of your wedding party.
  • Mail invitations and track RSVPs.
  • Answer questions about wedding etiquette and current wedding trends.

How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. Also, extra details, such as managing food trucks or setting up snacks in addition to the meal, will increase the cost.

What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

  • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
  • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
  • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
  • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

Do you have a portfolio? Ask to see photos of their favorite weddings, especially if they’ve managed any that are similar to what you have in mind. This will help you see if you like their style and if their ideas seem fresh and creative.

Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

  • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
  • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
  • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
  • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.   
  • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
  • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.

Even if you don’t think you need a wedding coordinator, check with your venue. Some require that couples hire a day-of wedding coordinator for the day of the event.
