- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I am currently researching options for obtaining a Piano Pedagogy certificate or to go back to school to get my Masters of Music in Piano Pedagogy. I also plan on becoming a certified Suzuki teacher within the next year. I am always open to expanding my teaching skills and I believe there is always something more to be learned.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My parents were always very serious about my music lessons and training which is the only reason I became an accomplished musician. From a young age, I wanted to be a teacher so as I got older, it seemed like a "no-brainer" to want to teach music.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I recommend you "try out" a few teachers to see which style and personality fits the needs of you or your child! Take a trial lesson with me or observe a lesson with me and your child.
