First off, Kathleen handled herself very professionally, was very nice, and a pleasure to speak with on the phone. When my wife and I finally did meet Kathleen. She didn't make us feel like just a customer, but an old friend. She showed up early to set up for our child's party and even started before her time we agreed. She is a very talented young lady and all of the kids loved their face paintings. This was my second face painter I ever hired for a party and it was like night and day. I hired Shonta as a 'Day of' coordinator for our wedding day. From the start, Shonta was professional and responsive to our needs. I'd add "Patient" above as well, I had many, many, MANY questions that she handled with grace and patience! Shonta went above and beyond for us the day of the wedding. Whatever we needed, she either anticipated or was able to take care of anything asked of her to do. The bridal party bouquets and Father/Mother boutonnieres where provided by Shonta as well, and where beautiful. Having her be a part of the day was a weight off our shoulders, it allowed us to enjoy the special day while leaving all else in her capable hands.

I made a last minute decision to throw an Anniversary Party For My In-laws and Enjoi Catering came through for me and I was able to concentrate on my guest list and decorations. I gave them my request and They handled everything else. I was even able to sample my menu. My Menu consisted of Lamb Chops, Asparagus, Lobster Maccaroni, Crab Cakes and Shrimp Salad. I love how Stephanie and her team took my design and vision and executed it wonderfully. And she also injected her ideas which worked well with my design. They set it all up and broke it down which proved to be a lifesaver. I am such a Type A, "need to control" everything kind of person who does party planning myself, but I felt comfortable releasing the reins to Stephanie on my wedding day. She even came to my rehearsal and helped with ideas. She even spruced up the bathroom for guests which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend Everything is an Event and I would definitely use their services again. The only thing I would say is that the flow of events were a little off. There were a few people in the wedding party that felt that Stephanie could have been a little more hands on with controlling certain things instead of just responding to issues. Also, when the items such as linens, centerpieces, candles, etc. were broken down, they were just placed in any of the storage containers instead of the way they came to the venue. The only issue with that is re-packing everything for storage. But it is a minor thing. Overall, like I said, it was great working with Stephanie and her team and I would definitely use their services again. THANKS STEPHANIE AND EVERYTHING IS AN EVENT!!!

Mother's Day Brunch was so wonderful! We were greeted by a delightful volunteer who offered us a choice of seating--that reserved for our party or something closer to the music. Once we were seated, the toddler with us was offered crayons, paper, and other age appropriate entertainment. The staff checked on us often, offering food suggestions, answering questions about the offerings, and telling us how the restaurant worked. All the while we were delighted with live music--great guitarist, some music history, and songs I knew! Our order was deliver with smiles and apologies for a slight oversight in the order which was quickly corrected. The food was delicious! The toddler ate hardily which says a lot since toddlers are often too busy exploring life to really tuck into eating. The restaurant was fairly full of families happily enjoying the brunch. My Mother's Day experience at Grateful Bites was top notch and one of the best Mother's Days I've had. Thank you, Grateful Bites, for a great time!

While others say they are --and are not--Grateful Bites has an organic egg, vegetable, meat and poultry farm--and they know how to showcase the food! The range of food (formal and elegant for our wedding) to fun tapas and appitizer for our Bridal shower and a family kid oriented Backyard BBQ for our baby shower was always excellent. They have spoiled us! Working with them is pleasant, and the best part is we feel so good about supporting their wonderful mission and giving their fabulous differently-abled apprentices the opportunity to find a place in the world. Testimonial for Rachael Before I met Rachael, I was entirely unaware of how impactful and life-changing a wedding planner could be. Perhaps it is because Rachael is 1000 times more than simply a “wedding planner.” With over 10 years of experience in the field, Rachael essentially eliminated approximately 99% of the stress that goes into planning a wedding by taking one multiple roles: a liaison between our vendors, a magician with saving us money, a therapist when I needed someone to talk to, a genie by making my dream wedding a reality, and, most importantly, a true friend and unyielding cheerleader for us. The only bad thing about getting married has been not having a reason to talk to Rachael nearly everyday, since she WILL be there for you EVERY day, day or night, and is probably the most punctual and giving person I have ever met. However, her value does not end with simply being nice. She is incredibly smart and meticulous, knowing the details of our wedding even better than my fiancé or I did, and making sure that our vision for what we wanted was realized. She is undoubtedly the Olivia Pope of wedding planners which, for everyone who hasn’t seen Scandal, means that she could work on a presidential level of wedding planning, can organize your life better than anyone and will take care of all of the dirty work too! To be called the Olivia Pope of anything is an extremely difficult level to reach, since this fictional character is unrealistically perfect at everything she does, but Rachael has earned that title without a doubt. I would hire her for anything. One of the best things about her is she’s great at everything wedding-related too! From going to Sephora with me to help me pick out makeup for the big day, to capturing some of the most special moments from my wedding on her iPhone, to even driving an hour to Delaware in rush hour traffic to help me pick out the perfect amount of alcohol to be served at our wedding, Rachael truly does it all. She is way more than simply your wedding planner. She becomes your biggest fan, an incredible friend, and, on the big day, the most reliable person in the room. No one made us feel more comfortable than Rachael on our wedding day, which just goes to show how important she was to the entire event. Our wedding was perfect, thanks to Rachael. I don’t see how we could have pulled it off without her. Anyone who works with Rachael should consider themselves lucky, because this girl is going places! So if you’re able to book her, do it while you can! I really think she could be running our country someday (hopefully someday soon!) I am SO glad my (now) husband and I opted to hire Rachael for our wedding. We had gone back and forth for a long time over whether we wanted to spend the money for a planner, but now I can't imagine how the day would have gone without her. We DIY'd most of the event, but turns out (surprise) we actually had no idea how to make a wedding run smoothly. Rachael was absolutely indispensable throughout the entire day. We hired her super last minute, and she was amazing with quickly organizing all of our vendor information and making sure we were squared away with all the little details like songs and processional order, etc. Not only was she incredibly organized and accessible, she went above and beyond the typical responsibilities. She was with us first thing in the morning helping organize the bridal party with our getting ready business, she picked up AND set up all of our desserts, and she awesomely moved chairs from the ceremony to the reception because our venue only provided us with exactly enough chairs for our guests. (On top of a million other things!) Every single one of our vendors gushed about how great she was, and I can't speak highly enough of her. Disaster is a strong word for what our wedding would have been without her, but hey - it would have been pretty close! If anyone out there in wedding land isn't sure if they want to hire a planner - DO IT! And if you have the opportunity to work with Rachael - DO IT! She's incredibly professional, organized (which I keep saying because I am the opposite of organized), personable, and dedicated to you and your day. TL;DR version: Rachael is amazing, and you should hire her for your wedding.
