My son has been working with Gary for the past couple months. Gary is an excellent drum instructor. My son has learn more from him than from other instructructers he's had in the past. Gary goes over several aspects of music and helps my son know how to feel the tempo in many different songs. He works I think five or so main things for drummers to know. He is encouraging and knows how to motivate my son without being too much like a teacher giving home work. He makes it fun and breaks it up into different sets of exercises. Highly recommend him.
John Sayre is the deal. Great player, solid mentor, knows how to teach, and gets along with everyone--real nice, sincere guy. He knows how to get beginners excited and skilled, and he knows how to push young professionals. A go to teacher on drums and percussion.
I am over 30 years old and went to Miles with zero musical knowledge let alone any experience playing the drums. Miles reaches that perfect balance of being patient and pushing me to learn more. He has introduced information to me at a rate that is appropriate and takes the time to work through the musical concepts with me. At the same time he knows when to push forward with more challenging aspects of playing the drums to get the most out of our lessons. Miles is clearly very knowledgeable and talented and I recommend him highly if you are looking for drum lessons.
Jon is very reliable, friendly and accommodating as schedules change. My daughter loves her drum lessons with him! She's worked with him for 2 years and still loves going.
I was not positive that drum lessons would be something that my 10 yo son would want to continue for very long. Asher is the perfect teacher! He paces instruction perfectly for my son. Excellent and highly recommended!!!!!
We have used Dominic Thompson, Sr. at our services and he has been so professional. Always on time and he goes over and beyond what is asked. We needed our drums tuned and he did it with no hesitation because excellence is what he is about. You won't be disappointed with this young man.
I am a guitar player and teacher and have played with Tony for over 20 years. He has the dual gift of being a naturally talented musician and an insightful teacher with the ability to break down complex concepts into understandable terms for students. He goes the extra mile for his students, immersing himself in the music his students are learning so he teach to their needs and interests. There is no style of music that he cannot play or teach. Also he has a great sense of humor!
I had never had a drum lesson before but thought it would be something fun to try! Jaren was really good about breaking down what was necessary for me to know for my spontaneous lesson. I felt fully comfortable and encouraged learning from him. He was very knowledgeable and didn't make me feel anxious or intimidated trying something new which I really appreciated. He provided a professional, yet fun experience for me that I won't soon forget!

I offer basketball lessons as a shooting specialist and drum lessons for those at beginning levels (classically trained as well as rock band training).
My students can already play standard blues riffs after their second lesson. Through my lessons, they obtain practical knowledge of the instrument and music immediately. I also teach them music reading and theory to enhance the fun and experience of playing a song. I am a professional teacher and musician. Break beats, without breaking banks. I offer private, professional drum kit instruction in South Central PA. Lessons are for beginning to intermediate players. I have studied drums with many of New York City's elite session players, such as Michael Carvin, Phil Bloom, Victor Lewis, Joe Cusadis, and others. Lessons will cover everything, from proper posture and sticking, to dynamics, reading and writing musical notation, and playing to a metronome. My lessons are also not meant to turn you into Jon Bonham or Neil Pert, but to help you find your own way of approaching the drums and developing your personal sound. These lessons can be adopted to jazz, funk, rock, blues, and any other style that you wish to play. Please contact me if you have any other questions. Thanks.
I have been playing for about 15 years now. I've played with a band, Fight From the Kid, for about three years, met a lot of cool people and learned a lot about music through the process! I am just looking to further my abilities at the same time as I'm teaching drums. The best way to learn is to teach. If you are interested in any specific style, let me know. There is a plethora of drum books online. The only thing I am still trying to master myself is double bass, but I do know the basics so far and have become a lot better.
Hey, I'm Brandon Reeder. I've been teaching private drums lessons since 2007 down in Crofton and currently live in Baltimore City. My styles include traditional rudiments, matching grip techniques and double kick patterns with influences from rock, jazz, samba, reggae, punk, and heavy metal. I can teach anywhere from beginner to advanced drums, either on my kit in my in-home studio or at your house on your own drum set. Any age group is fine. I have experience in teaching students as young as five years old up to students at 50 years old. I have a high retention rate, and most of my students have been with me for years. I am particularly good at keeping lessons fun and engaging for young students. I charge $30 for a half-hour session and $60 for an hour-long session. My hours/days of the week can be pretty flexible. Just get in contact with me through e-mail to try out a lesson or if you have any questions. References are available upon request.
