Andy put together our Ikea kitchen cabinets and if you know anything about Ikea there were hundreds of pieces, etc. He is so nice and did an excellent job! We had re-gutted our 60s kitchen and now it is our favorite place in the house!!!

I’m a new resident in the state of Virginia and was very weary and skeptical of contacting someone online to do business with. However, I decided to try thumbtack and I was pleasantly surprised to meet Mr. Ernest Atkins and the company he represent Move U Inc. After reading various reviews regarding his service, I decided to contact him and schedule assembly for my furniture, which included seven pieces for two separate bedrooms. From the very beginning Mr. Atkins was courteous and professional and understanding. He was extremely personable and made me feel at ease instantly. Upon scheduling the pickup of my furniture at the store, Mr. Atkins provided me a courtesy call and was prompt to pick up my furniture. In addition, he brought along another employee to help with the assembly. Despite the condition, which there was a snow storm that very day, Mr. Atkins never complained or asked to reschedule. Even when there was a major complication, some of the pieces were not correct; Mr. Atkins volunteered to come back on another day once I got the proper pieces without charging an additional fee. He came the following day and was able to assemble the missing pieces within an hour. Mr. Atkins was quick in assembling the pieces to perfection and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a professional company that truly cares about the satisfaction of their customer to assemble/move your furniture.

Robert helped with a creative problem-solving project—shimming up a scratch-and-dent fridge, hanging the cabinet to a new height. He also consulted on other work I was doing, and when I figured the hook-up behind the fridge was leaking he did everything to fix it, checking multiple times before leaving. A great help and our new handy guy!

Rick was professional and conscientious, insisting on cleaning up after himself. I'm very pleased with the assembly of my kitchen cabinet as well as my cat's condo. He travelled about an hour to get to my apartment and offered me a very reasonable rate. I would absolutely call him in the future and recommend his services to everyone I know!

Felix contacted me immediately after I posted my information on Thumbtack and was able to come to my house to look at my project and give me a quote at my earliest convience. He was extremely professional and worked very long days to finish my project. Felix also made samples with the stain I wanted on my cabinets to show me before starting on the job. My cabinets look GREAT! I'm absolutely thrilled I chose lgk and highly recommend Felix!

We hired Thomas to assemble some Ikea Pax wardrobes and he did an outstanding job. He even created a custom solution to secure the cabinets to the wall at no extra cost. Since then we've hired Thomas for several other jobs, including electrical work and hauling. He's continued impress with his professionalism and friendliness. I highly recommend him.

Greg did an excellent job and the work was completed the day after we hired him. He did work inside and outside. Inside he dealt with some kitchen cabinet issues and outside cleared some extremely clogged rain down spouts. I would definitely hire Greg again.

We hired Jeff to install some kitchen cabinets and build a deck under them, then trim them out. Jeff is punctual, reasonably priced, neat, personable and a real craftsman- every quality you could want in a contractor or Handyman! I am very particular and OCD, he worked with me every step of the way and really helped my vision come to fruition. Not to mention, he was wonderful with my 3 very young children and respectful of my home (taking shoes off etc). We are having Jeff back for a full bathroom remodel and cannot wait to work with him again, would highly recommend.

I'm very happy with the work he did. Would highly recommend! Eric did my recess lighting, pendant lights and LED lights under the cabinets in my kitchen. Also 2 rooms in my house that needed lights installed and a fan in two days. Great job Eric!

I hired Steven to paint my entire condo (2BR/2BT) and do some odd-jobs here and there (e.g., install new cabinet hardware; touch up bathtub tiling; install access door to plumbing, etc.). It took him a week to complete by himself. Steven was a consummate professional. He was flexible and willing to do extra work at a nominal price. Overall price for the quality was solid. I would recommend to anyone needing small to medium-sized projects done.

Mr. Marshall does commercial and residential jobs. I have utilized Mr. Marshall’s services for many projects including plumbing, carpentry, and heat pump problems. In my kitchen he has installed a dishwasher, stove, new sink and faucet, a water filter system, a vinyl floor and also painted and caulked the walls. He also replaced two water damaged doors with new handmade cabinet doors that matched the existing doors perfectly. In my bathroom he installed a new vanity, faucet, toilet, medicine cabinet, custom shelving, a shower rod, and done repairs to the tub and shower faucet. Other jobs he has done for me include installing a central vac which I love, replaced and relocated my water heater to a more suitable location in my home, completed a beautiful tile job in my entry way and deck repair. Mr. Marshall is skilled with his work and is a problem solver. He has been able to complete difficult jobs that other contractors weren’t willing or able to complete for me and also for friends who I referred him to. He is skilled at dealing with inspectors, permitting and is able to cut through the red tape involved in dealing with county organizations. As a single woman I trust him to do the work I need fairly and correctly and I have referred him to several friends who have also become repeat customers. He has done basement waterproofing, well/septic repairs, and ran gas lines for friends of mine. I highly recommend his services

Christian mounted a tv, hung a huge mirror over the sofa, installed a ceiling fan in the kitchen and assembled an organizational shelving unit from Ikea in the basement/office. He installed my washer and dryer for a small percentage of what Home Depot wanted to charge. I was delighted with every job he performed. He was friendly, organized, professional, conscientious, courteous. I will be rehiring him for some outdoor work when Spring arrives. He is my go to guy for everything.

We hired George Platt for two large furniture jobs, both of which were handled beautifully and on time (and within our predetermined budget as well). The first job was an incredible all-white high gloss bathroom vanity and built in cabinets for our new master bath. George was able to complete it very quickly (as well as change it slightly on the fly when we altered the designs slightly) which allowed our contractor to perfectly install the vanity in short order. There were no issues whatsoever and we couldn't have been more happy with his work. It's the first thing you see when you walk into the bathroom and we are very glad we had George make it for us. His second job was a truly "wow" dining room table and living room bar for us - both for entertaining purposes. The dining room table is made out of African bubinga with gorgeous inlays and live edges on both sides. Each time we have friends and family over they ooh and ahh over it and can't believe we were able to have it built custom for us. The same goes for a 6ft long, 4ft high African Zebra Wood bar with three shelves in each of the three individual cabinets. George doesn't use veneer (which can actually be tough to get into an apt given the weight) and again, the quality of the work and craftsmanship shows on each of his pieces. George's work is reasonably priced for the best quality work we've experienced in terms of handcrafted furniture. As his work is so great, we can't wait to hire him for future projects.

Chris and her team turned our 80s-era kitchen and living room into a modern, open floor plan masterpiece! The results are incredible. She did everything, with great attention to detail and my style preferences, from remove walls and widening doorways to installing new cabinets and hardwood floors to gutting and replacing a brick fireplace with a modern sapelle wood design. Wise Property Management literally created a masterpiece in our home. My husband and I were very impressed by her detailed estimate, communication before and during the construction, and her craftsmanship, esp. with our fireplace. Plus, she and her team busted their butts here everyday day until the project was complete. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to even the most finicky customer.

Scott White was prompt in responding to a request for a quote and was at our house the next day. The quote for basic bath renovation for a 5x8 bathroom was 50% lower than that of Lowe’s and comparable to another quote received. The difference is that he was available to begin work within a few days as opposed to us having to wait for two weeks. Scott had to deal with sub-standard plumbing which was put in when the townhouse was built in 1980. This took him a little longer but the end product was successful. He was very proficient at troubleshooting and the end product turned out very well. Scott did all of the plumbing and electrical, installed a walk in 30x60 shower with glass doors, ada compliant efficient toilet, vanity with mirror, additional medicine cabinet, towel racks, and bathroom exhaust fan. Scott also installed a ceramic floor which was at an additional cost to us since the basic install with vinyl floor was included in the price but the ceramic floor was not. We opted to install our own tile work and Scott was very kind in letting us use his wet saw and even left it behind after his work was completed.
