Gladys officiated our wedding with 6 days notice and it was everything we needed it to be! Gladys was more than excited to meet with us beforehand in our limited time to get to know us a bit before the wedding and learn about our relationship. When it came to the day of the wedding, Gladys was professional, warm, and made everyone feel welcome. We loved having a ceremony conducted in both Spanish and English, Gladys did a great job making both parts of the family feel included in the small beautiful ceremony we had. Our wedding was special, unique , beautiful and intimate. It could not have been all that it was without Glayds officiating.
Lisa is awesome! She is super fun and professional and made sure all of our wedding guests had a great time in the photo booth with tons of different props and poses to choose from! As the bride, I didn't get to spend a lot of time in the booth but when I finally made it in there, I was really impressed with the booth set up and the quality of the photos. She also offers a scrap book which the guests glue a copy of their picture in the book and write a message. I highly recommend using Every Picture Tells a Story for any event and adding on that scrap book to whatever package you choose. Thanks again Lisa for playing a large and special part of our carnival themed wedding!!
I stumbled upon Boston Event Diva's while planning my wedding and I can honestly say that hiring Jen was the best and easiest decision I made throughout the planning process. She was so easy to work with, incredibly accommodating and made all of my visions & dreams come to life. While I only used her as my florist, I urge anyone needing a wedding day coordinator to hire Jen as well. The amount of time and effort that she put into the bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and all the ceremony & reception arrangements leads me to believe that she puts her entire heart into her work... and you in return will have the most beautiful wedding from start to finish. I can not say enough great things about Boston Event Diva's. Plus, one week after my wedding I still have a beautiful and healthy hydrangea centerpiece sitting on the island in my kitchen still looking as beautiful as they did on the day of my wedding!
I met with Jen at the Pawtucket Public Library on Wednesday June 22, 2015 and she was outstanding. Jen was very nice, listened to my needs, wants, and concerns. She made the stress of planning a wedding go away, she made me feel comfortable and like I could do this. I will be using her services for my engagement photos and as a wedding planner. I am very pleased with her so far I only had one meeting with her but so far it has been wonderful.
Belle was amazing! Last minute (very very last min) about 4 days before the wedding, I decided I wanted chairs covers for all my chairs, and a nice decoration for my sweetheart table and a backdrop. Kind of alot for last minute planning, didn't thought I would have time to get all that arrange. I created an account here inquiring for someone to hire to do this. Belle contacted me immediately and made everything so much easier for me, gave me ideas and made me feel secure that everything was going to be alright (even under the stress I was going through that week). I know God placed her in my path and that it was meant to be done by her, she is a blessing! To tell you all this, before I walked into the hall for my reception I didn't have a specific idea of what to expect of everything but I knew it would be very nice, but when I walked into the room everything was BREATHTAKING! I couldn't believe how beautiful and amazing everything looked, it was like a dream! I am sooo happy Belle reached out to me and that she made the decorations for my reception stand out, everything gave complements of how beautiful everything looked! It was so worthy! Planning a destination wedding in Newport, RI in 6 months while living hundreds of miles away, working full time, moving once cross-country, finding a new job, starting a new job, etc, etc, is no easy task, even with a wedding planner! With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! I didn't even ask her, but when she heard me talking about what I would like to do if the place was closer, she just jumped in and said she would take care of it. I'm so thankful for everything Soraya did to make our special day a success and would highly recommend her to anyone trying to plan a wedding.
Skylight Entertainment provided the dj service for my wedding at the Salem Hawthorne Hotel, in Salem MA this June. We booked Skylight about a week before our wedding and it was surprising how well they managed to put everything together. They did my ceremony and reception which was great. I was happy that they arrived early to set up, the venue complimented them as well. Everyone kept complimenting me on how great the music was and how nice the wedding lighting were(pink). People did not even know our names could be projected on the floor like that! Brad did a great job on our slideshow, we got him the photos last minute, a day and a half before our wedding but you would never notice! Our guests kept complimenting on that as well! All in all the service was great, we got everything we were looking for, and then some. I don't think that Skylight could have done anything better because they were on point with all that they provided. I can not thank Skylight Entertainment enough for making my wedding the special day it was because they were an essential part of my big day!
I can't say enough good things about Marty Malone. My husband and I had our wedding at the Historic Village Hall in Framingham, MA. The hall was beautiful, but did not include any 'frills' other than the tables. We needed to find a caterer that could not only feed our 150 guests, but also bring in alcohol, provide bartenders and insurance, and help to show the guests where and when to eat. We also had to do it on a very tight budget. Marty got back to me right away on Thumbtack, and answered what seemed like hundreds of questions from me in a timely and patient manner. He was so helpful with all of our needs, and met every single one of them with no stress or hassle. We were able to customize our meal choices, and make changes when needed. He provided an incredible ice cream sundae bar as well as gluten free options when asked about it at the last minute. On the day of the wedding, I saw that Marty had brought lots of friendly staff with him, and all were dressed nicely and smiling. They catered to our guests and made sure everyone was fed and happy. The cleanup was quick and easy. I would highly recommend Marty for any of your catering needs!

Nancy's Affordable wedding services was a GOD sent! I hired Nancy to make our pews, place and table cards as well as our memorial for our loved ones who past on! Everything Nancy did for us was simply beautiful. I sent Nancy images and she designed them even better than I imagined. Looking at the items you could clearly tell that she created all of our items with love and care. Nancy's services were professional extremely creative and everything was so personable. I would recommend Nancy to anyone who is looking for someone who actually loves what she does and it shows in her work. Yvonne was simply amazing! From the initial contact and all the follow up, her professionalism and execution left nothing for want. We wanted to have our wedding at our family farm, which required more planning than a typical venue, and she was lock-step with us the entire way, from an early visit to scope the property and plan logistics, to suggestions for vendors along the way, to ultimately delivering a fantastic, unforgettable day for our 180+ guests. She made the day run so smoothly, corralling people into the right places at the right times (which was a feat given our venue had multiple rooms and lots of outdoor space), while making sure my now husband and I were taken care of and felt great. I cannot describe how thankful I am to have had her help on our wedding day, and would absolutely recommend her to anyone getting married in the area (or who is willing to fly her out) :)
Danielle was perfect!! She made us a custom cake topper (bride, groom and two dogs) it was perfect!! In the initial shipping one of the dogs broke so I emailed her. She did not hesitate to make us top priority (at that point the wedding was only like two weeks away!) She sent us out another one and it was perfect!! She was very accurate to the photos we sent. One of our dogs has passed since then and she did such a great job of capturing the look of our pups that we will permanently place her figurine on our mantle in memory! Thank you Danielle for your professionalism and skill. It was an honor to have your toppers upon our wedding cake!

Cynthia coordinated our wedding in May and I have to say, if it wasn't for her I don't think we could have pulled it off. She was outstanding. Kelly did the day of coordination for my wedding, and all the pre-work to prepare for the day. She helped find additional staff, suggest vendors, and essentially anything I asked of her. Kelly was truly amazing and saved my wedding in so many ways! From the moment I hired Kelly, she gave me peace of mind and assurance that everything will be perfect. There is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into making a wedding, Kelly was right there with me along the way. As somebody who has orchestrated many events, she gave thoughtful suggestions to ensure my event was planned perfectly. She was always in contact, answered all my emails promptly, and calmed every worry and question I had prior to my wedding. She went over my plan and wishes in great detail to ensure she knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted everything. The day of she was a wedding saver. I got everything I planned executed as requested and the event ran without any issues (at least none I was award of), Kelly did that great of a job. I spent my wedding day dancing, enjoying the wedding I dreamed of, and visiting my family and friends, while Kelly worked extremely hard to ensure everything went as planned. She did an outstanding job and my wedding day was beyond my expectations. Thank you Kelly for everything that you did and all the things I don't know about, you were truly one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning!
My fiancee and I had one simple request to keep our wedding planning and wedding day stress free. Amanda has more than exceeded our expectations. She saved us a lot of money, providing props, design recommendations, averted so many foreseeable crises months before the wedding started. Five stars is selling Theresa short- we’d need about nine stars to truly convey what she did for us. Hiring her was the Single Best Decision we made about anything having to do with our wedding. What makes Theresa a nine-star event planner goes far beyond being great at her job, but it bears mentioning that her skills as a planner are fantastic. She helped us make a plan we liked, kept us on schedule, and it cost exactly what she said it would. But she went above and beyond the planning to become our ally, counselor and forceful advocate in an unfamiliar process. Our typical conversation went like this: Me: I am worried about [thing that I thought was a problem]. Theresa: Don’t worry. [List of three ways to fix the problem] Me: I think that [overpriced wedding thing] costs too much. Theresa: Don’t worry. [List of two cheaper options, plus one way to avoid the expense altogether]. Me: Can you send me [thing we won’t need to worry about for three months] Theresa: Don’t worry. I will send it to you when you need to take care of it. …and so on. She was always calm, and she was always reassuring- and she was always right. We owe her a huge debt of gratitude for a smooth and wonderful wedding day.
Courtney helped me plan and coordinate my wedding. She was such a tremendous help and the day of the wedding she was able to keep up with everything. Even when everyone was pulling her this way and that way. I do not think my day would have been the same without her.
