David has been teaching me guitar for a little over a month now. I have already seen great advances in my technique, rhythm, and understanding of music. I have been playing guitar for 9 years off and on, and I have never had professional lessons. I can say that after a month with David, I am playing better than I ever have and believe that my guitar playing skills will continue to progress rapidly with David's help. His teaching technique is very casual and fun, almost conversational, and his insights are spot on. He is exactly what I hoped for in an instructor when I started looking at guitar lessons and I would highly recommend him for anyone who loves guitar, regardless of their skill level. He is a 'must hire' professional!

I am a beginner in my mid 30s. I've had 3 lessons for guitar so far with George and have learned a lot. Very knowledgeable (Theory, reading music, tab, etc..), patient, helpful, and teaches well. Shows up on time and is communicative. Excited to continue to learn more! Highly recommend!

I just completed my second lesson with Gail. She seems very nice and very knowledgable within the field of music. I do believe that I will be able to stay on course and learn the piano with her help! I will update this review as time goes on. eric

About

We offer private lessons on guitar, bass guitar, piano, voice and drums. We also have join-a-band Program and other classes. Private lessons are a great way to start. Our teachers are excellent and very enthusiastic regarding the growth and implementation of their students' knowledge. We are a performance-driven program, offering our private students many opportunities to perform throughout the year. Band Gig's join-a-band programs offer a first glance into the world of playing in a band. The student will learn at first hand how to play with others as part of a band. Our professional teachers will show you how to read basic symbols and charts, organize arrangements and how to rehearse. Playing in a band is not unlike a sport, where each member has a job to do. It is being part of that group effort that makes this experience so special. The groups are made up of a variety of instruments. The following are 3 levels of Band Gig's join-a-band programs that we are offering: * Band Gig 1 - for the beginner * Band Gig 2 - join a band and play a gig * Band Gig 3 - join a band, play a gig and record a demo.

About

I have been playing drums for 16 years. I teach all kinds of percussion (marching, concert, drum set). I do focus on good technique and rudiments to start. I also can teach both traditional and matched grips. My "studio" is in Middletown, RI and I charge $25 for an hour lesson. All you need to get started is your own drum pad, your own pair of sticks, and a notebook. I provide the place to practice and the knowledge to play.
