Chef Michelle consistently over-delivers, ensuring that every catering event is not only plentiful in quantity but also beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Her creativity shines through in every dish, making each bite an exciting adventure. If you’re looking for something fun and unique that will have your guests raving long after the event, Chef Michelle is the one to call. I highly recommend trying her food and visiting her restaurant, PiANTA, located on Atwells Avenue in Providence. You won’t be disappointed!

My first experience here was lovely! The interior was clean and well-decorated, the staff was polite, and the food was good! My favorite was probably the spinach dip; it tasted really nostalgic, like the spinach dip at a restaurant my family frequented as a child. The smashed potatoes were also excellent. I'm not sure what the sauce was, but it paired wonderfully with the crispy potatoes.The only item I would not recommend is the birria taco. I found it to be unpleasantly sweet and the seasoning was lackluster. I would have enjoyed a little more cumin + salt on the 'meat,' but that's just personal preference.

And yes, those crispy smashed potatoes with the garlic aioli are a quiet favorite around here, so we’re thrilled they hit the mark for you too. We also really appreciate your honest note about the birria taco. To be frank, there actually shouldn’t be any added sugar in that dish beyond the natural sweetness that comes from roasting the vegetables for the consommé. It’s possible there may have been a mix-up—like sugar being mistaken for salt during prep—or some other anomaly, because the profile you described doesn’t align with how the dish is intended to taste. I met Michelle (the owner) at a vegan food festival. My friend and I were inquiring about the restaurants brunch. She explained the restaurant was booked for events. I thought oh maybe I could do my 40th birthday there. However, I was recently diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer and didnt have the bandwidth for planning this. My family surprised me with a party. Michelle was amazing during the event and planning process. The food was amazing even the non-vegans loved it! Michelle was instrumental in my birthday celebration being phenomenal! 100% would recommend this restaurant! Absolutely love everything about it!

I hosted a surprise birthday party here for my sister. It was 10 experience. Firstly the owner Michelle was AMAZING. Shes professional, warm, friendly, and kind. She made the planning easy. I dont live in Rhode Island so she helped with connecting to other providers we needed for party too.The food at restaurant was excellent. The mash potatoes and gravy were my fave. Also the egg roll was delish! The restaurant itself is well designed, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Our photos came out lovelyMichelle was being super sweet sending us photos we didnt catch!If I could give ten stars I would. Go here for a date, dinner, or event. You wont be let down at all. I met Michelle at an expo, she was so warm and welcoming, instantly weaving my business into her vision for a fundraising event. She is a powerhouse of positivity and purpose!
