We were so unbelievably pleased with Cathleen and her assistants. She went above and beyond, and I can't imagine trying to get through the day without her. I did the planning of the wedding myself, but since I arranged all of the decorations and timing myself, I really needed someone to keep track of everything and to make sure my vision for our wedding was realized. Cathleen was exactly what we needed. She was an invaluable part of our wedding and I highly recommend her. Everything was above and beyond, and I was able to feel relaxed all day. Throughout the day she fixed a few minor hitches and kept all of the vendors on our schedule. Then, when we walked into our reception it was exactly as I had imagined. Beautiful! Then at the end of the night she packed everything up perfectly. I honestly could not be happier. I'm already thinking about other larger parties we might have where we could hire her again.

I met with Jen at the Pawtucket Public Library on Wednesday June 22, 2015 and she was outstanding. Jen was very nice, listened to my needs, wants, and concerns. She made the stress of planning a wedding go away, she made me feel comfortable and like I could do this. I will be using her services for my engagement photos and as a wedding planner. I am very pleased with her so far I only had one meeting with her but so far it has been wonderful.

Classique Impressions did a MARVELOUS job decorating for my sisters wedding. After a last minute fiasco from our former decorator, we had already given up the dreams of having an elegant and beautiful hall. But it was just unbelievable the quality of service we got. The linen was so beautiful! The ceiling draping, lighting,centerpieces, backdrop and sweetheart table made everyone go woah! The detailing was amazing! And to imagine that I paid less for a lot more that what others had charged is just unimaginable!  Yes! Yes! Yes! I will recommend Classique 100 times over and over again! Planning a destination wedding in Newport, RI in 6 months while living hundreds of miles away, working full time, moving once cross-country, finding a new job, starting a new job, etc, etc, is no easy task, even with a wedding planner! With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! I didn't even ask her, but when she heard me talking about what I would like to do if the place was closer, she just jumped in and said she would take care of it. I'm so thankful for everything Soraya did to make our special day a success and would highly recommend her to anyone trying to plan a wedding.

I've worked many different jobs with Brooke. She became one of my favorites to work with on the first job we worked together at the Boston Public Library. In an industry that is very stressful, has tight timelines, and no room for error it's great to work with someone like her. She was able to direct myself and my crew efficiently, clearly explaining where and how she wanted the equipment set up. She maintains focus and keeps a level head at every event I've worked with her. I've seen her communicate and coordinate several different vendors which isn't easy the day of a wedding or private event. I always look forward to the opportunity to work with Brooke because she takes out the normal stress and aggravation with the job. I work in event rentals and have never had a problem I couldn't work out with Brooke!

We hired Music Matters DJ & Party services for our wedding in 2012. From the beginning Mike helped plan our special day with a great attitude and lots of fresh ideas that one would expect. From organizing all of the music, arranging for our violinist, performing during our cocktail hour, and as our DJ during our reception our day was filled with great entertainment. The service we received was impressive, he knew our venue, and was key in making our special day memorable and low stress.

Yvonne was an exceptional wedding planner. We had multiple meetings with her leading up to our special day, and she was always willing to accommodate us. She made us feel like we were a priority and that she had our best interest in mind. I knew that I did not have to worry about a thing on my day because of Yvonne's top-notch professionalism. I worked with Cynthia on a birthday party a few months back. She was corrdinating the party all day. I walked in about an hour early and she was already there, setting things up, blowing up balloons, setting up the tables. She was very focused and always had a smile on her face. I made sure I grabbed her business cards and I have told all my friends about her. I hope I get a chance to work with her again professionally and if not she will definitely be planning my wedding!

Kelly did the day of coordination for my wedding, and all the pre-work to prepare for the day. She helped find additional staff, suggest vendors, and essentially anything I asked of her. Kelly was truly amazing and saved my wedding in so many ways! From the moment I hired Kelly, she gave me peace of mind and assurance that everything will be perfect. There is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into making a wedding, Kelly was right there with me along the way. As somebody who has orchestrated many events, she gave thoughtful suggestions to ensure my event was planned perfectly. She was always in contact, answered all my emails promptly, and calmed every worry and question I had prior to my wedding. She went over my plan and wishes in great detail to ensure she knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted everything. The day of she was a wedding saver. I got everything I planned executed as requested and the event ran without any issues (at least none I was award of), Kelly did that great of a job. I spent my wedding day dancing, enjoying the wedding I dreamed of, and visiting my family and friends, while Kelly worked extremely hard to ensure everything went as planned. She did an outstanding job and my wedding day was beyond my expectations. Thank you Kelly for everything that you did and all the things I don't know about, you were truly one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning!

If you are looking for a kind, hardworking, wildly organized, perfectionist with great ideas and someone who will turn your dreams into reality, then you have come to the right place! Devyn of Emerald Events is all of that and more. From the very first day I reached out to Devyn she was nothing short of poised and professional. Initially I planned to only utilize Emerald Events’ Day of Services, however, after my planning got well underway I realized there was no way I could pull off the perfect day without more of Devyn's assistance. Without hesitation she stepped up to the plate, organizing a vendor by vendor budget, full wedding weekend itinerary and also began reaching out to each of my vendors by email, phone and written letters (on professional letterhead to boot)! I was working with a budget and let Devyn know that from the start. She was very willing to work within my budget and even found vendors, such as a videographer, I never believed I would be able to afford. My particular venue was merely a piece of land, so as you can expect with a blank slate it can be fun, but a bit overwhelming. I provided every ounce of detail down to the forks! I am a perfectionist myself and had a vision of my wedding for years and I will admit I was afraid I would never be able to have someone else pull off what I thought was only in my head, but boy was I wrong. Devyn captured every last detail and then some. We met numerous times all of which she came prepared and organized. Being busy and at times disorganized I was constantly sending Devyn one off emails with items that would pop into my mind, but never did she seem the slightest bit bothered and always promptly responded. A month prior to my wedding she even went as far as scheduling time to come over to my house to look at all of the small details, label each and put together last minute details. But above all else, my wedding weekend was where she truly shined. My wedding was on Cape Cod in the middle of an extremely hot August. Devyn and her assistant came down for the entire weekend to make sure everything moved smoothly and according to plan. Both presented themselves professionally dressed and accessorized with iPads! When they first arrived they came by the house we had rented to check in and make sure everything was running smoothly, but at the same time were sure to never be a bother. They helped with everything from tip distribution, to helping collect last minute items my family and friends had forgot in the craziness of the weekend. On the day of my wedding it was 96 degrees and extremely humid and Devyn and her assistant still never missed a single beat. Numerous people, still 2 months later, have come to me to complement their professionalism and all around amazing work. Although this review may be lengthy, I know I am forgetting so many more details Emerald Events did to make sure my wedding was one for the books. Last but not least, not only is Emerald Events all around the best Cape Cod and Newport have to offer, they are affordable and will provide you with electronic billing!! The best decision you can make is to hire Emerald Events as your wedding planner!! You will never regret this decision!! Thank you Devyn, for making my wedding nothing short of the most beautiful and by far BEST DAY EVER!! Xoxoxox

I plan birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, fund-raisers, and retirement parties. I will make sure your event is everything you dreamed of and more. The three types of wedding packages I offer are as follows: * Package 1 -- Full Service This package is for the couple who wants to be stress free and enjoy being engaged. We will create a wedding budget, plant it, and help bring you dream wedding to life. This fee does not include price of materials, starts at $2,500. * Package 2 -- Day/Week-of Coordinating The couple will do all the planning up until the final week. We will then take over and have final follow-ups with all vendors, set up and break down decor for reception site, and do rehearsal, ceremony and reception coordination. Price is $1,300. * Package 3 -- Bring Your Wedding to Life The couple will do the major planning, vision and design of their wedding. We will execute your vision. Price is $1,000. Fee does not include materials on your set budget for decor and floral. After-hour cleanup is $150. * Any other events -- Fee starts at $50 an hour depending on how big the event is.
