Paul is an amazing teacher and a generally incredible person! My boyfriend and I picked up Salsa steps so quickly under his direction. Paul is very dynamic, friendly, patient and definitely knows his ballroom dancing! We can't wait to branch out into other genres of ballroom dance with him. If you are looking to learn choreography for an event or just to learn ballroom dancing for life, Paul is your guy.

Debbie is absolutely AMAZING! I cannot say enough good things about her <3 <3 My husband and I were both nervous about learning a first dance and she made it so fun and easy we had ZERO experience and she was able to get us on the dance floor in just two sessions, we'll be back for more lessons just for fun because we loved it so much.

Ian has been teaching our 7-8 year old private tap lessons for the last year. Our favorite thing about it is that Ian's talent really gives us the sense of infinite growth potential, but he still meets William at just the right level for that particular moment. Ian is very in tune with his students, and can adapt his style and curriculum until he gets the best response from his students. We also like that he is teaching some of the underlying music theory and history of tap, which William certainly wouldn't get in his normal dance classes. Ian makes a point to welcome us at every one of the Subject:Matter performances that we've gone to, which has made the whole family feel plugged into the larger Boston tap community. Ian has been easy to coordinate with and reliable, and we are looking forward to continuing to work with him!

The most coveted award that a teacher of ballroom or Latin dancing can achieve is an NDCA Top Teacher Award. This is gleaned by the accomplishments of your students in "open to the world" ballroom and Latin dance competitions against other teacher's students of the same age, genre, experience, etc. I am very proud to have won over 30 such awards!

About

When I started dancing, I was a complete newbie to both dance and music. I had never danced a single step in my life, had no idea what salsa music was like, and was in poor shape to boot. Over the years, salsa dancing has transformed my life and given me a tremendously positive outlet to pour my energy into. I want to share my love of dance with others, and also help provide them with the resources to further their own growth. To that end, I have a very technical and detailed approach to dance that came from my own trials and struggles as a complete beginner. When working with my students, I'm very attentive to their individual hiccups and strengths and try to focus on the latter while informing them about the former. I also never give up on a student! As long as they're willing, so am I.
